More praise!! Turns out one of the fans I purchased in August (NEW and in a SEALED BOX) malfunctioned. One single email to Ron, the owner, and a replacement fan was ordered THAT DAY!! Didn't need to call and check on the status, because I received notification of the replacement's arrival the day it arrived. Warranty service at the highest level. Add this to the fantastic service and great price at the time of the original purchase, and you have the definition of absolutely perfect customer service. I didn't even have to go to the store to pick up the new fan, because the installer picked it up before coming to our home to install it!! Note to YELP: I know you offer 1 to 5 stars to grade the reviewer's experience. Lighting Plus has a great selection, plus their prices were18-22% lower for the identical items! And nice light fixtures are not "cheap" let me tell you. As it turns out, our sales person, Josue Vanegas, is a licensed electrician with 14 years experience specializing in light fixtures. For a modest fee, he came to our house to help us assemble and install our new fixtures. Nice guy, and very professional! Highly recommended... we will be going back. read more

After going to big box stores, searching around town for apx. a year, I was fed up. I went on line, researched the kind of fixture for my breakfast room I wanted, then printed the pictures and marched out the door with a list of Houston lighting stores in hand. Our first stop, Lighting Plus, was a winner. Immediately upon entering, we were greeted, asked if we needed assistance. I showed the salesman my pictures, and he immediately directed me to the exact fixture I was looking for. Not only that, it was apx. $55 cheaper than the on-line store, and no S&H charges. I cannot complain about the service. Parking was right outside the front door. The store is just south of Westheimer, on the east side of the street. Support local. read more

Worst place EVER!!!!!!!!! We bought two chandeliers and I paid for them over the phone not knowing they were final sale because no one ever told me that. Regardless, when I realized they were too big for my space, I thought i could use the credit for my track lighting. The lady up Front wasn't able to help us so she had the manager help us and boy did he do the opposite of help us. We basically told him what we needed and he looks at us like we are stupid and says you don't know what you're talking about. He goes on to constantly insult us and basically made us feel stupid, as to when I said sir, you are the lighting expert, you should know. He then starts saying you're being rude and says I'm not helping you anymore. He starts to walk away and I'm like if you're not willing to help me then give me my money back. He then proceeds to say get out of my store or I'll call the cops. I can't believe a store manager would treat their customers like that. First he's not willing to help me, then he goes on to kick me out of his store??? This has to be the dumbest manager or store owner I've ever met. Buyer Beware!!! We found the service to be terrible. First, we had to beg for someone to help us. We selected a fan, but found that the fan was a bit too large for the space. When we tried to exchange it, we were told it was a customized special order and could not be returned. Funny, the salesman did not mention it when he was showing the fan. Nice items but our presence was not acknowledged until we were walking out the door. Sales person was helping casual shoppers and then made phone call. All he had to do was say "look around and I'll be with you in a moment" and we would have waited. Went home and purchased 2 matching 42" and 1 50" chandeliers, a fan, and a ceiling medallion online. Don't go to this place unless you are absolutely CERTAIN you want to keep what you buy. I bought 2 expensive light bars for the bathroom and when the electrician came to install them it turns out the switch was the problem, not the lights. I tried to return them but NO WAY. All they do is issue a credit - and it's only good for 6 MONTHS. The "no returns" message is printed on the receipt, but that's AFTER you buy it. The sales person DID NOT say a single thing about this policy before, while or after I bought them... and when we went back to return it, she LIED and told her manager that she had told me all about it. Not true. The manager didn't even want to give the store credit since the box was opened. THIS WAS NOT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE AND IT SEEMS ALL THEY WANT IS TO KEEP THE MONEY.
