I contacted Lighthouse to get our gutters cleaned after the last rain. "Tall" Sean arrived right on time and checked out the situation. He explained that it was the moss (we had never had it cleaned off) that was the problem, as it was clogging the gutters. He proceeded to scrap off all the moss, cleaned the gutters & picked up everything on the ground, including lots of leaves that had fallen even before he arrived. There was no extra charge for all the work he did, he stuck right with the estimate we had been given for just the gutter cleaning; we were very delighted. Outstanding company! I was extremely impressed with the initial call. I had left a message regarding a quote to clean our windows later in the afternoon and I promptly received a call the very next day (in the morning). I received a quote over the phone and that quote was exactly what I paid. I even expressed to them that I knew I might not be giving them the right info since they have not been out to my home yet but I was impressed that they felt assured that after walking through with me on the phone that they had what they needed to make the appointment and give me the quote. Nick, just finished cleaning our duct system and we are really pleased with the results. Before he cleaned he ran a camera up the ducting which showed a significant amount of lint build up. We were surprised at how much had accumulated over the years. After he was done he took another video which showed the results of his cleaning - what a difference and what a relief. We didn't know what a fire hazard we had and am glad it's been well cleaned. Whole process took less than an hour. I took a before and after photo of the dryer Vent hood which is located on the roof. They were out this morning, a crew of 2 young men. They did a fabulous job, they were quick, and very polite. I couldn't ask for a better job. Nick came out to clean our dryer vent duct, and look at a potential problem with the dryer duct pipe being a little short of exiting through the roof. He went up on the roof and ran his video camera down the pipe. He also took a picture of the potential problem area. He found that the duct was clear of lint and debris, and it did not need cleaning. He also said that the short duct pipe did not need to be corrected because it was still working as designed with just an insignificant amount of lint falling back into the attic space. He did not charge anything and said to call him in a year to have the duct re-inspected. I highly recommend calling Nick at Vent-tastic if you want to have your dryer vent duct inspected to prevent a dryer fire, save energy and dry your clothes faster. read more

I am beyond thrilled with our Vent-tastic service. I returned home one evening to find a burning smell coming from my dryer. In a panic I unplugged it and turned off the gas line. I assumed that my dryer had just burned out, as it hadn't been drying my clothes properly in months. I was convinced that the timed dry was worthless as I had to add 45 minutes or more to each load. Fortunately, Nick from Vent-tastic, had left a flyer on my door two weeks prior. He promptly came out, cleaned my dryer vent, and inspected my dryer. Great experience. Austin and John Jr. arrived ahead of schedule to wash my windows. I asked if one of them would mind getting up on the roof to blow the leaves off, as I'm a wuss about heights. I even left my blower down below for them to use, not thinking they'd have one with them. Within minutes, John Jr. was on the roof with his own gas blower, going after the leaves. I told him not to worry about the leaves that blew onto the deck below, that I'd take care of those, but a few minutes later, there he is- blowing all the leaves off the entire (large) back deck. They had my windows looking invisible after washing them- I'd never seen my windows look that good, and they were very personable and friendly. In our previous home, I had the dryer vent professionally cleaned every year due to the complicated pathway the vent took from the dryer to the outside vent.In October of 2016 we purchased a new home and hired Nick to clean the dryer vent system. The previous owners lived in the house for 14 years and did not know that you need to clean out the vent and not just the lint catcher. The pipe goes from the dryer through the roof and was a delicate job because of the cement roof tiles. Nick did an excellent job and the camera view was helpful.
