Need a licensed electrician and prefer one doing the work or is on-site who is actually licensed…read moreand not someone working under a company license? Douglas Wright Electric is the company to call. Douglas is honest, budget (your budget) minded so he is fair, and his is fully licensed and bonded in Arizona from California; so you know that he knows what he is doing. Douglas knows code and is very professional. Douglas generally works with 1-2 helpers, one of which is extremely knowledgable and trustworthy as he is on his way towards a license of his own. You can fully trust him should Douglas need to slip away for a short time. The other is in the process of learning under two very good and knowledgeable mentors. Douglas Wright Electric, recently installed a garage sub-panel and both 115V and 230V 20A ceiling twist-lock receptacles dedicated to my woodworking machinery. All work was fully permitted and inspected by the city, Douglas Wright Electric is now finishing up the electrical for a Mini-Split (HVAC) system for my garage so I can work comfortably during the summer; I have a licensed HVAC guy installing the actual Mini-split unit. But after that is done, I already have Douglas Wright Electric slated for some inside the house electrical re-wiring work to fix a screw-up by the original home builder. I now can't imagine calling anyone else now than Douglas Wright Electric. Professional, knowledgeable, fair, and a great guy as are his helpers. And they won't leave a mess. Integrety defines their buisiness and work. Don't mess around with a company who will send someone out to your home from a pool of non-licensed, questionably trained/knowledgable who are working under someone else's license while calling themselves an electrician. You likely will be getting someone at an apprentice or at best journeyman level (which Arizona does not recognize) without supervision by a fully licensed electrician who may never even stop by the check their work.

Doug and his team are my go-to electricians, without question. I've worked with them on multiple…read moreprojects, ranging from updating a house built in the 1950s to mounting TVs and fans in bedrooms. More than that, Doug has been a helpful voice of wisdom whenever I've had urgent questions. As someone who's hesitant about messing with electricity, these guys offer peace of mind at a price point I've never wanted to beat. The biggest project we've worked on together was my mother-in-law's home - a house built in 1959 situated in Mesa. We bought it knowing it would need some work. Doug came over and gave me a full rundown of options. For a large project like that one, I really appreciated their approach. They show up with a full team and bill by the hour while they knock out as much as possible. I've been impressed by how much they accomplish and how thoughtfully they consider things from the end-user perspective. On a smaller scale, the team has helped with installing new fans and updating switches and outlets at my primary residence. This has often proven helpful because they handle things that would probably jam me up for hours of troubleshooting. Overall, I highly recommend them for your next project!

I had a landscape redesign completed earlier this year and had Dylan and Abstract Lighting come out…read moreto put the finishing touches on our front and backyard. I met with Dylan and one other company to do walkthrough and get a quote. It was quit apparent the passion, expertise and knowledge that Dylan had far exceeded the other lighting company yet the cost was on par with the other. Don't get me wrong, his services aren't cheap but you do get what you pay for. The project was completed about a month ago and I've had the opportunity to see his response to a couple of minor issues that have come about. (When lightning an acre property I'm guessing a couple small things will come about). Anyway, he's been right on top of it and takes swift action which is nice to see. They arrived within 20 minutes and immediately began diagnosing my problems. After only about 10 minutes, they traced the problem back to a wall switch that had improperly been repaired by another electricity service provider. Within another 15 minutes, they had that switch replaced, and I had power again. While they were looking around in the main breaker box, the tech noticed that my drip system electricity had been improperly, connected to an existing circuit by the people who had installed it originally. He hived off that connection And added a separate breaker for it in the box while he was there. This is the kind of service I love going above and beyond. I paid a flat service call fee, and an extra $100 for the drip system breaker work. In total, the cost was less than what the previous electrician had charged me to screw up the switch. This is the second time I've used Colin and Scheid Electric and I'll always call him now when I have electric needs. Fast friendly and knowledgeable. This is what you want in a home service provider. Highly recommended if you are in East Valley.
