Some pros were that there was plenty of parking in front on a Sunday. The assistant, Adrianna, was a very pleasant, helpful gem.. and the blankets (those that were finished) came out really cute and soft. Great idea, a little rusty in the execution.

Each day they offer something different. One day when I picked my boys up, they said "why did you come so early, we were having fun." I know that my boys are in good hands when I drop them off for the day.

I take my 2 y. o. granddaughter nearly every week. There are so many wonderful things to explore…read moreand learn from. They have a walking path through the woods with a natural playground and sandbox, a bird house building to watch and interactive displays, a mini zoo inside a house with small animals and activities including a treehouse. (Admission otherwise is only $3 for adults and $2 for kids 2-17). There's animals/insects inside such as owls, huge cockroaches, giant turtle, snakes. And a cute reading corner full of nature books. There's also a discovery den AKA play area indoors for $1. There's animals/insects outdoors such as turkey vultures, turtles, a butterfly house and a bird observatory (cute on the inside with toys for the kiddos - be sure to read the story about the couple who opened the center). And a natural playscape outdoors. There's also a bunch of fairy houses throughout the property that girl scouts donated. And lots of trails through the forest. They also have Magic Mornings for ages 2-4 Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays - but register ahead as they only have a certain amount of spots each day (it's seasonal - they have in fall and spring but not summer - see website). It's an hour class for $10 and includes a snack, craft, nature walk etc. They usually pull out an animal each class. It's great to get some time in nature with other kids. In summer, they have a full week of Magic Mornings in their Itty Bitty Briar Camp. Ms. Heidi teaches it and she is just great. They have a different theme every day such as sun, water, clouds etc and there's an activity each day (visit pond and catch tadpoles, water play, craft pertaining to theme). They have preschool pioneers for ages 4-5 and summer camp for older kids for a week in late June. *Just beware in June that parking is limited due to school field trips and you may not fit in either of the lots; you may have to park out front of the house to the left (which is fine - she just doesn't want buses idling there) They also have field trips to gardens and to the shore, classes for seniors, family nature nights, hot smores nights... Only negative (besides parking, which they can't really control), is the "snacks" for kids at Magic Mornings aren't the healthiest. One was cinnamon sugar graham crackers with whipped cream- regular would have been fine. 2 days were cheddar gold fish. Another day was blue jello with whipped cream. And some red licorice - the kind that whips. Fruit Loops were used for colors. So, if you don't like your child eating sugar, let them know you have a dietary restriction or bring your own snack (snack time is ~10 min and probably not needed but the kids always love snack time!). Some options that would be healthier and just as easy would be pretzel sticks, fruit, crackers, popcorn, veggies, string cheese...but I guess those all cost more besides pretzels/crackers/popcorn.

It turns out my worries were completely unfounded, as the entire staff at Camp College immediately put my mind at ease. Nurse Amira managed my child's Allergy Action Plan like a pro, and the staff in turn took careful safety precautions to ensure that there were no accidental exposures. Anthony, Christine, and Stacie were wonderful about making accommodations so that my son could participate alongside his neurotypical peers, and he even had a special "buddy counselor" who he absolutely loved! Both Science and Arts camps were exciting and engaging, with new projects and experiments being returned home daily. Camp College is truly a family, where each child is respected, included, and cherished. I cannot recommend this organization enough!

The second floor is a bit more expansive, but $7 feels like you should spend more than 15 minutes tops. I was examining the wooden structure, the bends and repairs. We went up the 4th floor stairs to see what was up there (appears to be where you take school kids for a field trip) just to prolong our stay. Ultimately, while I prefer this to the tourist-trap Red Mill across the bridge, honestly, the bridge is my favorite museum in town. I'd skip this next time.

The summer program is another highlight. The kids get to enjoy so many fun and engaging activities, including musical performers, puppet shows, water play, foam parties, and even drive-in movie days. I always look forward to the pictures they send because my boys are clearly having so much fun. They stay busy all day with meaningful activities and never seem to have a dull moment. Since our boys started at Goddard, I've always noticed what I think of as a "trickle-down effect." The management is respectful, the teachers are respectful, and the children reflect that same culture. The kids are so well-behaved compared to what we've experienced elsewhere, and I truly believe that's a result of the positive environment the school creates. Most importantly, I know my boys are safe, genuinely cared for, challenged, and kept engaged every day. The teachers also provide appropriate structure and discipline, which has helped them grow tremendously. Goddard played a huge role in helping my boys thrive and prepare for public school. Like any daycare, there is some staff turnover, but it's minimal compared to other centers we've experienced. What also gives me confidence is that Miss Lori has been there for over 20 years and oversees teacher training. Knowing that every teacher receives the same high standard of training really shows in the quality of care. I often find myself lingering during drop-off and pick-up just to chat with the staff because I genuinely enjoy the warm, welcoming environment. I'm honestly sad that my 5-year-old is aging out because we've loved being part of the Goddard family. I enrolled my two children ( which are always bored without activities ). Since they began camp they have increased interests such as ice skating and cheerleading . Joe and Janice are amazing every step of the way starting with registration to picking up the kids. The camp has a bus company they partner with to make it easier for working families and late stay available.
