My son was in this daycare from March-August of 2021. I came back to these reviews and was surprised to see what I read. The teachers in the purple cats at the time, including miss Troi, were nothing but kind, caring and attentive. So much so that when we left they threw my son a goodbye party and brought gifts and treats for him out of their own desire. To this day i reflect on how great the experience was to have nurturing staff members coming out of the precarious time that was the pandemic. I sent my 15 month old son here for a few weeks and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone that has a child around this age unless you are looking for solely a safe clinic vs a place that nurtures your child. My son is very adaptable and happy, so I was surprised to see him walking around the room crying looking like a lost child when I picked him up during his 3rd week there, and the worst part was that it was apparent that he had been crying for a long time. As I'm in the room packing his things to leave, another child starts to cry and the caretaker sighs and says "Ugh...Domenick", clearly annoyed that this child is upset. I decided to speak to the director in regards to what I saw and she ensured me that if I got the cameras the next week, I would feel better. I signed up that Monday and watched all day to see not 1 child look genuinely happy all day, my son be left in a seat at a table alone for various amounts of time on two separate occasions, and on top of it he wouldn't eat his lunch because they never informed me that I had to cut his food. I decided to pull my son due to wanting him to be in a more caring environment than that, but if your expectations are solely safety than this may be the place for you. Once I pulled my son, I wanted to speak to the owners to have a conversation in regards to what happened but they would not call me back - which goes to show that this is solely a business to them. Good Morning, I would like to speak up for not only MY child, but the children still at that facility and children to come! This past week has been a horrible experience as a parent! My son attended Lightbridge Academy of Cherry Hill. Upon picking him up this past Friday (7/16/21) my son had unexplainable scratches on his face. My husband took him back into the facility to ask if they knew where they came from and he was told that they didn't know and didn't see anything. On Monday(7/19/21), I was then called and informed that another child had scratched my child. When my husband went to pick him up he had to request a copy of the incident report. After doing further investigation and finding out who the child was, I was informed that this child continuously harms other children and is still allowed at the facility. After being on high alert and watching the cameras more closely yesterday, I experienced something that's every parents nightmare. I saw my child and another student playing with a toy in which the other child only wanted to himself so he pushed my son away. My son tried to still play with the toy and once the supervising teacher saw them both wanting the toy, she aggressively grabbed my child and PUSHED HIM! She proceeded to chastise him and went as far as picking him up and sitting him down aggressively OUT OF THE CAMERA VIEW to further say something to him. When I called the school to inform them what had happened and that I was on my way, their solution was "we'll remove her from his classroom". When I arrived to the school I asked one of the directors if she could rewind the cameras so that I could show her what transpired. She then told me they cannot rewind the cameras. The facility has not reached out to myself nor my husband to resolve the issue or even see if my son was okay, but instead they have denied us all access to the school's accounts and outlets as well as KEEP A TEACHER WHO IS AGGRESSIVE WITH CHILDREN on their staff. I had a very bad experience at Lightbridge Academy in Cherry Hill, NJ. On its video feed, I saw a teacher repeatedly and forcefully push down my 14 month old daughter's head to try to get her to nap. When I notified the Director, she agreed that this abuse was "not acceptable nor tolerable". Needless to say, I didn't feel comfortable sending my kids back to Lightbridge and then everything closed down for the pandemic. Lightbridge still has my advance payment of nearly $1,000 and refuses to refund it. I know that times are tough for everyone including businesses, but times are tough for me too as a single mother who has been laid off. Lightbridge's offer that my children return to use this credit is offensive and worthless. It's unfair and unfortunate that this business is not ethical enough to do the right thing. read more

My husband and I enrolled our son at Lightbridge Academy when he was around eight months old. We did a lot of research on other daycares in the area and decided to go with Lightbridge after what we saw during a tour of the facility. Our son is now sixteen months old and we could not be happier with our decision. His teachers are wonderful and very nurturing. It is so nice to know that when I drop my son off in the morning he is in great hands. Very clean school (which is very important to me) and amazing staff. Highly recommend Lightbridge Academy to any parents looking for a daycare. read more

Parents please beware of this place. Do not let the cleanliness, and the sense of "security " ( Because they have viewable cameras) fool you. I had enrolled my daughter in this school and took her out after 2 days. What I saw horrified me. The teachers were not nurturing at all, the classroom was chaos and out of control, not once in 2 days did they sit and teach the kids anything. They just let them run around, jumping off tables, they were not attentive to the children at all. They all just stood around and gossiped. I reported them to corporate as it is definitely not a safe environment/school for children. Not worth the money, heartache. Very disappointed at the treatment these children got. I am so thankful I took my child out before so got seriously hurt. read more

I dreaded putting my child in daycare so much I waited until she was two. From the first day I toured the school the director was so assuring. She made me feel at peace. The first couple weeks was very trying for both my daughter and I ! But it was so worth it. My daughter loves Lightbridge and I love it even more. I feel secure. If ever there is an issue it is always handled swiftly and professionally. My daughter is very particular to who she interacts with. She loves the director ! From a single mom who struggles with leaving her child ANYWHERE, Lightbridge academy is the best decision I've made in childcare. I'm so pleased by the way the teachers all know her name and if by any chance she's having a bad morning I can leave her in the office with the director and be confident that she is in good hands. 5 stars is not enough for this establishment. I have a niece that attends this school and she truly enjoys it. She is always talking about her teacher and all the things they do in her class. The curriculum and use of technology is incredible. When she comes home she is so excited to share what she has learned with her siblings. Enrolling her in this school was the best thing her parents could have done. There is no doubt that she will be ready for Kindergarten in September. read more

This is a beautiful, new school where our teachers truly care about our daughter. Having a nanny for the first year and half of her life, we were nervous yet excited to enroll her into daycare and she genuinely seems to love it there. She can't wait to get in the car in the morning to "go to school", gives her teachers hugs when she gets there, listens to their direction, and seems to overall enjoy her entire day. I sent my 22 month old daughter there and would not recommend this to anyone that loves their children. The only good thing about it was that they have cameras. I was able to watch them continuously ignore my daughter and other crying children. The staff barely watched the children and interacted with them. They ignored my child so much, knowing she has food allergies, did not watch her when she ate off of another's child's plate. Luckily I was watching the cameras at that exact moment and called them to make them aware, BECAUSE THEY HAD NO IDEA. She was immediately picked up and never returned. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

Went to this daycare for a tour while my wife was pregnant and decided we were interested in sending our daughter here at which time they assured us they had plenty of room and to come back after our daughter was born. Several months later (October 2019) we came back to look again and to put money down but were told not to pay at that time as they were still wide open and they wanted to look into our ability to use FSA childcare account money we had accumulated. We had been in touch and visited again to pay and reserve a spot in January 2020, even bringing our checkbook but were told by Shantell that she would prefer to take our money with all of the completed application forms and to have us turn it all in at the same time. She assured us in person that she was putting our daughter into the system to hold her place and even double checked the dates with me and my spouse, while appearing to enter her name into the computer and confirming that her spot was held. She even sent us an enrollment email telling us our daughter was enrolled and once the forms were in we would finalize her enrollment. We brought the forms and check in a couple of weeks later to Shantell, who proceeded to tell us that the class was now full and they would not have availability until the following school year. Obviously we were confused and questioned her about the spot she claimed to have reserved for our daughter, but she denied doing this and said she didn't remember saving the spot for us. We were never contacted by anyone from Lightbridge warning us that our spot hadn't been saved or that we were at risk of losing this spot we had planned around our daughter having. We had attempted to pay two separate times to hold the spot and were turned away by Shantell who falsely assured us we had a spot saved and then backtracked on this when it was suddenly full. All we got was an "I'm sorry for this inconvenience" email and now we are stuck last minute trying to find a new childcare solution for our daughter. The way the whole situation was handled was extremely unprofessional and needless to say we will be telling everyone we know in the area to avoid this daycare center. This place does not know how to control kids who are active. They pick with every little thing and always wants you to come pick your child up instead of trying to teach them right from wrong. When you ask to explain what your child did everybody is like "um, um, um" as if they're making up stories as they go along. You could literally be watching the camera and see nothing and they'll say it happened out the class or something. Mind you I would see the one teacher holding my child one minute then it would switch to be hit her. One of the teachers snatched from my son and yanked him off the table but yet did she get sent home early ..NO....The lady at the front(SHANTELL) is like programmed with lies, she acts as if this place is so structured and trained when first come for orientation but when you get in it's so unprofessional. And you can hear her irritation in her voice when you're an upset parent. She puts on a front and I can see it. She called me complaining again about my son and I told her it would be his last day, her rude behind just said okay and hung up mad fast, like she was happy I said it or something. Like how unprofessional. No type of hopefully I can find something more accommodating or anything ! They expect your child to be this perfect kid that does no wrong. That's the only way your child will be accepted. If my child was jumping on cots he would get pulled from the room and made to be seemed like a problem but if other kids did it, you would still see them do it the entire time without being removed. Also one time a kid was play wrestling with my child, rolling around on the floor and they were chasing each other and no one stopped the other boy. But when my child is chasing someone or rolling on the floor it's something wrong. They say things your child never does at home. How does a small child pick up a whole cot and throw it? It's like they say things in a way to just get your child out of the daycare truthfully. Send your kids where the staff are older adults, this facility is a bunch of younger staff who don't really have patience for little kids. When my child was with older adults he never had this issue. They try to blame it on class size. As if your child has a problem with being in a bigger setting. This place is so Inconvenient for working-class families. My son has been at Lightbridge for the past six months, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. From the start, the center's director, Shantell, made our family feel welcome. My son was the youngest one in the class and was used to another daycare so initially it was a transition. Will quickly formed a bond with Shantell, and she went above and beyond her job by holding him while she worked in the office. Now he is about to transition to the next classroom and has grown tremendously because of the love and care of the staff. I have been a teacher for sixteen years, and I know what makes a good teacher. Will's teachers, Miss Troi and Miss Chelsey, are excellent at their job and really understand the developmental needs of toddlers (18 - 24 months). Every week there is a theme with planned activities across a variety of subject areas. For example, one recent theme was "zoo" where the class did different activities like go on a bear hunt, study animal habits, create animals using play-doh, count animals, etc. One of the main reasons I chose Lightbridge is because they value learning, and they teach in a fun and playful way. My son's vocabulary and knowledge has grown exponentially because these teachers are very skilled at what they do and are engaging in their lessons. In addition, I have been impressed with how much my son has grown socially. When we first started, he was a bit shy and clingy, but now he is a social butterfly. The teachers work with the kids to learn their classmates' names and practice social skills like sharing and taking turns. Finally, we love the facility, which is a new building. The classrooms are big spaces with developmentally appropriate furniture and toys, and these spaces are very clean. Also, there is a playground for both younger kids and one for the older ones at the daycare. In addition, they have a huge multipurpose room where the students visit twice a day and get a chance to run around and get their energy out - rain or shine. Not all daycares have a space like this! We are beyond happy that our son goes to Lightbridge Academy and are looking forward to spending the next few years watching him grow and learn there. read more
