They have forced me to sign an agreement which is a breech of law to supervise my child. they do not wish to work with me to resolve the issue, instead they are trying to switch responsibility to me the parent and have stated several times to me that there facility is not safe for my 2 year old child who has been attending there since he was 3 months old. I do not recommend them to anybody. I get called 2 or more times a week to come pick up my child. this also accured previously but I had let it go but now they have gone to far!!!

I had already informed them she is in the process of being evaluated for autism, yet that context was ignored. What made it worse was a staff member pointing out that she was "fine around the white child in the room," which felt insensitive and unprofessional. My daughter interacts well with adults of all backgrounds, including Black staff members, so this conclusion about her behavior felt inaccurate and concerning. Additionally, she was placed in a baby room without my knowledge, where I did not have camera access. I was not informed about this change, nor was I notified that she needed more diapers--they simply used a different brand without asking me. Overall, communication was poor, and I did not feel my child was understood, respected, or properly cared for. I would not recommend this location to other parents.

Our son had previously attended another daycare, and we had lost all trust in childcare after multiple traumatic experiences. The care and attention that Genevieve and her teachers give to our son and our family quickly suppressed any stress that I had and they earned our trust. They got to know our son and what was important to our family for his care. We are working together to help him transition between rooms (infant to toddler), and they are doing what works for him instead of just following a written routine. They work with us as a team on a daily basis and really make us feel like family. The communication we receive from Genevieve and his teachers is top notch. Whether it be sending pictures and notes throughout the day to show how he's doing, or checking in when he is having a tough time, they are in constant communication with us. They respond quickly to any questions or comments we may have as well. They were able to catch an ear infection super early because they recognized a slight change in his behavior. They have also checked to make sure everything was okay when we were running late, as our morning drop off times are pretty consistent. Our son LOVES The Heights School. At drop off, he often will blow me kisses and wave goodbye as he goes right to playing. At pickup at his previous school, he would run right to me and cling to me. Now when I walk in, he runs and hugs me, then goes right back to playing. This may seem small, but shows that he feels comfortable too and doesn't want to leave. We are so pleased with the care that our son receives at The Heights School. We can't wait to see how much our son learns and grows throughout his time!

Every teacher my daughter has been in contact with is so happy to see her, and I feel comfortable asking any questions or making any requests concerning her care. The teachers have to be the best part of this school, and I don't feel capable of thanking them as much as they deserve. Little VIPs is such a fun school, even for parents like me who have stepped in the building twice ever, and I plan on sending my daughter here as well as any future kiddos until they're old enough to enroll in our town's school.

I have had my kids at two places for care before and after school in south Jersey, this being the…read moresecond. The staff here is polite and accommodating. The cost is very reasonable. However, I am disappointed in the overall experience we had with my son. From the get go, we told the director he had a few developmental delays , one of which was late to potty train. He was three when he started, and there were at least two classes for kids his age. We were assured he would be placed with kids of similar needs. I learned a few weeks in that this was not the case, as one of his afternoon teachers made a comment about how "everyone else in his class is trained". Once we had begun the process of training with him a few months later, both at home and with the support of his public preschool teacher and IEP, he had frequent accidents at Under the Sun. The Director questioned whether the preschool teacher was lying to me about whether he was going on the toilet at school. Then I was told by the Director that my son had to be put in pull ups instead of the underwear that we were working so hard to get him used to because "there are too many other children in his class and to clean him up takes one of the teachers away from all the other kids." Again, didn't think he would be the only one In this situation! Finally, when the training was taking a longer time than optimal, the Director asked me if I was sure if speech was the only problem he had been diagnosed with. As a parent, one can imagine how this broke my heart. My son Is quiet and shy when he first meets new people, I get it. However I was repeatedly told by the afternoon care team that he doesn't speak and they "are really frustrated." Yet, when we put him on a different summer program at a nearby facility, he is a different kid. He is bubbly, talks constantly to everyone, including the teachers, and is overall just so much happier. I was quite disappointed at the fact that it did not seem like the morning and afternoon teachers did not communicate with each other. When I would pick him up in the afternoon, that staff would not know what my husband had brought in or discussed with the morning staff. This was frustrating. I was not present during the day to fully take in his entire experience, and I know he was fed, changed when soiled about 80% of the time, and safely put on and taken off the bus by UTS. However, these other experiences just put a very sour taste in my mouth and I was relieved to be able to take both kids out of this center at the end of the school year.
