This is a long review but PLEASE READ!!!! I waited for my daughter (now 2) to be at the school a full year before completing a review. I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH POSITIVE THINGS ABOUT THIS SCHOOL!!! We absolutely LOVE the school. My daughter loves the school as well. She is so excited to go to school and has loved all of her teachers. She started in the First Steps classroom (when she was about 15 months)and was completely obsessed with her teacher Ms. Emily "Emmy". My daughter would ask to see pictures of her and "Emmy" (via Tadpoles) all day long. My daughter then went into the Toddler classroom where she, again, adores her teachers! She talks about all three (Ms. Karen, Ms. Tori and Ms. Jordan) but especially loves Ms. Tori! My daughter, from the time she was a baby, disliked being around anybody besides her parents and grandparents and I was absolutely shocked by how attached she became to all of her teachers, which shows how caring and loving they are with her. My daughter has learned sooooo much since being at the school. She counts out loud with everything that she does and is starting to count in numerical order. She knows all the main shapes and colors and does sign language. They do so much more during the day then just coloring and even when they do arts and crafts is educationally driven. The school utilizes the Tadpoles App where they post multiple pictures every single day, along with extremely detailed reports of what the kids did that day and how it applied to education or fine/gross motor skills and daily reports of what they ate and how much, how long they napped, and all diaper changes. With Covid-19, they have taken every precaution possible to ensure the safety of all the kids. The entire school is always very clean and organized. They teach the kids, very young, to wash hands before and after and snack/meal (my daughter constantly wants to wash her hands at home because of how well they have instilled in her the importance of washing hands). There have been very few Covid-19 incidents in my daughters class and each time my daughter tested negative and its never turned into an "outbreak" at the school which attests to their commitment to cleanliness. They even adjusted the tuition when my daughters class had to quarantine (which I know they didn't have to do). The Directors are equally as amazing as the teachers. Ms. Vicki and Ms. Sara are always bubbly when I speak to them on the phone as well as see them every day, they know every child's name and you can tell they are super involved (not just sitting at the desk). The owner, Jackie, is there a lot as well and you can tell she is hands on and supports the teachers and directors. You can tell that all three ladies are invested in the children and truly care for them. I really could go on and on about how great this school is but this review has already became a Novel lol. This was not for any promotion, no tuition discount or anything like that, just a very honest review. Yes, its expensive but not any more expensive than any other school of this caliber in the region. I'm so glad we chose to send our little girl here, from the very first tour, I knew in my heart and gut that this was the school for her. I never worry about her safety or well being while she is there. You cant put a price on that type of piece of mind!! read more

The only reason I am giving this a one star review is because my son's teacher was the only good thing about this place. My family and I moved to NJ not too long ago, away from family and friends and familiar people. We were looking for a safe and trustworthy place to send our son to ensure that he received the care he deserves. In my long search of daycares, I came across the Goddard School in Sicklerville. After touring with the owner, Jackie, I felt that it was a great environment for my son to grow and learn. However, I was wrong. Within the first two weeks of my son being there, he was bitten 5 times. Fine, I get it, toddlers bite, that's normal and isn't out of the ordinary (or so I thought, see below why I was "wrong"). I was only told about 4 of them and only 4 were written up. The 5th one I found during bath time and it was claimed that no one saw it occur and that they were shocked it happened. After many "attempts" to ensure my child's safety, the other child was finally moved to a different room. Unfortunately, as toddlers do, my son picked up the behavior and began biting as well. I felt as though his behaviors were treated much harsher than the other child's and he was given less of a chance. I was also made to feel as though this behavior was out of the ordinary and that toddlers don't act like that. I was also told that the original kid who was biting was the first kid who bit in that classroom since they owned the place... highly unlikely. We were told that we were always welcome back, as long as the behavior lessened. After many attempted phone calls to speak with Jackie about my sons return, I was told many times that she had either "just stepped out and would be back" or that "she was in a meeting and would return my call". I never had my calls returned. I had to send an email to set up a specific time to speak with her. To me, that doesn't sound like your too eager or happy to have my son back. After my first phone call with Jenny, I was told that if my son came back and bit again that he would not be allowed back and that there "had not been a biting incident" since my son left. This information was false. I am so glad I was given the information I was because I can't believe how much I was lied to and made to feel like my husband and I were terrible parents for having a child who was communicating through biting (a learned behavior) and wasn't worked with longer and better to improve the behavior. So, all in all, if you are a parent that doesn't complain and lets the daycare do as they please, this place is for you. If not, don't expect your concerns to be heard and appropriately handled. read more

My family was discriminated against by the new owners of this school. They kicked my daughter out the school after she was bit by another child and my wife asked for a report. The owner, Jackie, never gave us a report and still never gave an actual reason for my daughter being put out. Then, my daughters teacher gave mine and my wife's name to her mom who attacked us online and put my daughter and my family in danger. The other owner, Mike, told my wife it was okay for his employee to talk to her mom. So any parent who ever has a question or complaint about their child, just know that this school allows their teachers to release your private information and endanger your whole family. Mike also told my wife he was tired of hearing about it and wished it would go away. Jackie used stereotypes against my wife and I. She said we "intimidated" her when all we did was walk to her office and ask a question. Then she told my wife my daughter was kicked out because my wife's "tone" and that my wife was always upset and "fiery" and that it was in the best interest of their school. They also treated families who received state assistance differently. Goddard referred to these families as "subsidy families" and they were harassed after the new owners came in. Before this incident, we found out the teachers were not giving my daughter anything to drink at lunchtime. They did this for their own convenience so my daughter would not wet the bed at nap. The school called my wife everyday and threatened to put my daughter out for crying, when it was their fault my daughter was upset because they were refusing her a drink at lunch! After that, my daughter came home with her hair broken off and damaged, and the school said they don't know what happened. I do not recommend this RACIST place at all. The school seems to have gotten rid of all of the Black employees as well since their re-opening and I guess they are doing the same with the Black and brown kids. I know at least two other families who believe they are currently being racially discriminated against by Goddard in Sicklerville. These people should not be left in charge of pets, let alone children. OUR BLACK AND BROWN CHILDREN ARE NOT DISPOSABLE! read more

Our son started at Goddard Sicklerville in October and we have been extremely happy with our experience. They do such a good job with balancing the health & safety of the children with providing them a sense of normalcy and a welcoming, loving environment during these crazy times. The preschool teachers are great - my son talks about them constantly and loves going to school every day. He is learning, flourishing and having fun and I have peace of mind knowing he is in a warm safe place every day. The directors are very welcoming and are always there to talk about anything I want to discuss. And despite not being able to go into the school with all the COVID precautions they do an awesome job of making sure the teachers are accessible to parents as well. When we moved into the area we visited so many schools and made the decision to drive 15 minutes out of the way because this school just stood out amongst the rest. I am extremely pleased with The Goddard School. The new ownership has made tremendous improvements to the classrooms and the school as a whole. The teachers constantly communicate with me about my child and how the day went for them. It's comforting to hear all the highlights throughout the day. I especially appreciate all of the events that the new owners have incorporated. They hold family nights, planned activities at other locations on weekends and really create an atmosphere for the kids to feel like they are with extended family. My son is so excited to go to school everyday. He goes on and on about his friends and his teachers- I couldn't ask for a better school. read more

I love the Goddard school my two children an 5 year old who attends summer camp and my 2 year old who is in preschool! I love the staff so much my two year can be a bit of a hand full, but I have seen his teachers be nothing but patient him and they love him! They truly do a lot to make sure that he is included dispute him having his own agenda! I love that they use tadpoles and I get pictures of my child through out the day. I get see that they are learning and having fun! The facility is clean there are times I walk in and it just smells clean! I love that the owners are on site so if I ever have any problems they are there to fix it right away! read more

I have always lived in this area and finding a good school is hard to come by. The second I walked into this school; the owners, the directors, and the teachers were all so welcoming and accommodating. They reach the needs of all their children, and it shows in the happiness of all the children in the classrooms while there. The Goddard School in Sicklerville, is always clean, safe, nurturing, educational, and welcoming environment for the children and their families. The teachers genuinely care for each student there. I love the hands on approach of all the staff. I'm always greeted and we always feel welcomed. The school responds quickly to emails and they don't mind parents calling to check on their children throughout the day. Also, I can see exactly what my child is learning on a day to day basis; it's reflected in her language skills, math skills, and social skills. I also LOVE Tadpoles. read more
