CHECK THIS PLACE OUT IF YOU LOVE BEER!…read more I wasn't able to do the tour at the Coors factory, but I did get access to their lounge, which came with 3 free drinks. I also grabbed a few cool items from the gift shop. It was a really quick trip, but I was happy I was able to make it.

My husband and I visited the Coors Brewing Company for the 90 minute tour. Upon entry into the…read morePARKING LOT, We were met by an attendant who recited the bag/purse/backpack/ID policy and directed us to the parking spaces/trolly to the entrance. Policy states: NO bags, purses, back packs in brewery -- supposedly due to safety & security.... That's a straight up lie.... Nowhere on that tour is there an instance where ANYTHING could be anymore unsafe if carrying a purse/bag/backpack. It is impossible to contaminate the beer in any way, harm any machinery, or have any instance where the machinery/conveyers harm guests. EVERY BIT of the tour exhibits are behind plexiglass windows or shown via video. The most dangerous thing that could happen is someone fall up/down while walking on stairs. During the tastings, someone could possibly choke.... But still not by cause of a bag, purse, backpack. Face it.... The truth is they don't want you to steal anything from their gift shop! Okay.... Off my soapbox! Our ID was checked (to provide of-age patrons with a wrist band for the 3 (8 oz) free samples.) We were then herded over to the first video... a very short required safety video. Then the actual tour began.... Our tour guide, Sara, was very personable and punctual. She, without doubt, was knowledgeable of the malting, brewing, and packaging processes, as well as the company's history! However, I personally felt like she tried too hard to be witty in her presentation. The 90 minute tour seemed much shorter to me, but it included 2-3 pre-recorded videos, 3 tastings, and viewing of numerous historical advertisements. We learned of the several new brands that Coors has quietly acquired during recent years and that they have a subsidiary company named Coors Whiskey Co. that brews both whiskey and bourbon. We also learned how Coors stayed afloat during 18 years of prohibition in Co with Malted Milk and non-alcoholic Mannah beer. In my opinion, the best part of our particular tour was celebrating a guest in the hospitality lounge whose 21st birthday was today! We all sang happy birthday to him and he was presented with a t-shirt designed like a football jersey with the number 21 on the back.

Great group spot with something for everyone…read more Golden Mill is an awesome location if you're with a group with varying tastes or appetites. Everyone can be on their own tab and choose from a variety of food spots, and you can self-serve beer on tap, pre-mixed cocktails on tap, or soda from the fountain. Happy hour prices are great if you stop by at the right time (I believe it's mid-afternoon on weekdays). A pint of Coors was around $2.80, and all the food spots have discounted happy hour items too. We took advantage and ordered the Hurricane chicken wings from Republik of Chicken, which were tasty in an Asian-inspired sauce and great to share for the table. On a previous visit I had the Hurricane spicy chicken sandwich (from the same food stall) which I didn't find spicy, but it was overall quite yummy. This time I ordered a tuna poke bowl from Sushi Sora upstairs, a classic build-your-own poke bowl setup. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the bowl and the tuna, especially since we're in Colorado. It paired quite well with the wings we ordered for the table. Others I've been with have ordered from the BBQ place and the taco place, and had ice cream, and everyone has loved their orders. Overall, great spot with a great vibe. It's a great place to bring visitors or to stop by if you're in the area and want to enjoy some good weather, with plenty of outdoor seating as well as indoor.

I had a great experience at The Golden Mill and I like this food hall concept. It is a drink, eat,…read moreand socialize atmosphere spread across multiple floors. The spectacle here is a rotating showcase of beer, wine, and cocktails on a self-pour tap wall. As you can see from the photos, you identify the drink you want and pour it yourself. How it works: you obtain a swipe card from the register. Like a bar, they open a tab for you after confirming your identity (ID check) and storing your credit card information. You are then issued a Golden Mill charge card that you will swipe at the wall to pour your drinks. Pours are charged by the ounce. The cocktails are reasonably priced, however, unless you're an expert draft pourer you can rack up quite the bill trying to pour draft beer with minimal head. A worker helped me to pour my draft using his own card after my failed attempt. Workers are posted near the wall and maintain a close eye to assist customers which I believe is great customer service to mitigate user errors simply from a Murphy's Law perspective. Like many other food halls I've experienced, this one also has a good selection of food vendors ranging from BBQ, sushi, tacos, ice cream, and chicken. High tables, lounge tables, and standing areas are ample here. The scene is also a good venue for hosting small events. When I visited there was a live band performing downstairs. The customer service was very friendly. Parking nearby was not ideal and there is strict parking enforcement at the lot adjacent to the facility. Overall, a great experience and I will visit again when in the area.

Went because of the great reviews, left because of the service. Just an awful experience overall,…read moreand honestly the worst service we had during our entire week in Colorado. We were looking for a quick bite in Golden and unfortunately ended up at Miners Saloon. After seating ourselves, our server took his sweet time making his way over. We ordered the charcuterie board and the whipped ricotta, the former wildly overpriced. The charcuterie board was fine, nothing to write home about. The ricotta, though, was missing in action (we never got it), just like our server, who never once checked on us after taking our order. I think he said maybe three words to us the entire time we were there. We left hungry, frustrated, and disappointed by the service (or lack thereof).
