It's a community of great people in a nurturing, open, no judgement environment and where can get as involved as you'd like with fitness classes only or even get into their wellness workshops. There are so many things that I love about the Miami Fitness and Lifestyle center and one of them is the fact that it is an open, welcoming, supportive environment where people of all ages can come together from all different backgrounds and athletic abilities and have fun, while getting healthy and fit in the process. The center offers many different classes from Zumba to Yoga to the Vixen workout to Pilates and you are sure to find something that is a fit for you. The best part is that you can go in and say hello, try a class and get to know the people there. She has an informative website with all the information about the classes, her background, nutrition tips, all the instructors and an app to schedule your classes as well. I'm hoping to get back to Zumba now that my energy levels are back up (thank you sunshine, green smoothies and Vitamin D) and I look forward to continuing on my fitness journey with these fabulous women and a whole lotta latin flair! ;)

I love this gym. To be clear I love this gym early in the morning. The afternoon evening crowd is…read morenot for me and I feel like the gym is very busy during that time, but I love the morning, kind of a get in, work out, get out kind of atmosphere. There are plenty of friendly people if you want to socialize a bit more as well. I find the gym to be clean with modern equipment that is always in good working order. If something needs repair it usually gets fixed very quickly. A lot of the bad reviews on here are for the the payment and cancellation policies. I have zero experience with that, so I won't comment. It is very funny to see people talk about how rude the staff is. I have never experienced that either, quite the opposite. I have however seen lots of angry people take out their frustrations over the gym's policies on the people that work at the gym. I have seen people basically scream at the front desk staff for not allowing them to break rules, like bringing guests to classes and other such entitled nonsense. If this was my business, and I saw Robin or Jamie stand up to angry entitled customers, I would be so grateful that they were behaving like owners, the dream quality of any business owner's staff. I get the reviews for not liking the policies. And it is easy to come on to a site like this and maybe that makes you feel better. I just dislike seeing good people get abused. I can't recommend this gym enough. It is a great value, really nice facility with what I have deemed to be an awesome staff. I love starting my day there.

I had a membership and was getting some individual training and paying for that. Then I got breast cancer and after my surgery and during radiation I requested to put my training and my membership on hold but told them I would return as soon as I could. I can't recall now but they have a policy of putting things on hold for only a limited amount of time and then it starts back up again - even with the letter from my surgeon and radiologist. So they were charging me while I was recovering from surgery, etc. For some strange reason - I had imagined they would be sympathetic and might want to partner with me in my recovery. But that would be a big no. They had zero sympathy and insisted that charging me was just their policy and that was that. I was super disappointed in them on many levels. I cancelled my membership and of course that was complicated as well. I spent money on many months of membership and personal training I could not use and showed very good reason for not being able to do so. Just sad - helping someone recover and get their strength and self esteem back after traumatic surgery ... well that would have been a nice review to write. Just wasn't going to happen here.

This is to Krista L. Why don't we get the story straight instead of you telling lies. You called…read morethe studio and spoke to me. I told you that the Pilates intro was free but the barre was $15 and you chose the Pilates introduction and I specifically told you that if you didn't show up that there would be a $35 fee to cover the cost of the instructor that showed up for your intro. Instead you took the barre class knowing that I told you that it was $15 for a single class. So technically you owed $35 for skipping the Pilates introduction and $15 for the barre class. That is a total of $50 but I only called you looking for the $15 for the barre class. And yes I did ask you if you signed up because it said free because that is exactly what you did. You had no intentions of going to the Pilates introduction and you took the barre class and lied about the website being wrong and giving false information which was our fault. But you failed to mention the phone call discussion we had before you signed up for anything and that I explained to you in detail the difference between the Pilates introduction and the barre as well as the cost for each and YOU CHOSE THE REFORMER INTRO! So I did you a favor instead of charging you the $50 you owed I was only looking for your $15 payment for the barre class. Everything you wrote was a lie. I was never rude to you and you conveniently didn't mention that we spoke about the difference between the two options and I was the bad guy for doing my job and getting the money you owed! I'm glad you had your chance to make me look bad by lying about everything and quite frankly, we don't want people like you as a client. You're a liar and a trouble maker and above all you never paid your bill. Clearly you can't afford Pilates if you can't even afford a $15 barre class lol. Your comments are false and you know it as well as I do. You belong at low scale gym like Choice Fitness or the YMCA that offer low costs for membership and free classes that is more up your alley. It's very clear that you can't afford a membership at Passport Pilates so say whatever you want to make us look bad because your only making yourself look bad because anybody that is a member clearly knows you can't afford to be a member.

This is a review for Passpost Pilates' Fit Barre classes. I have not tried their pilates classes…read more Meh. Just purchased a Groupon for an 18-class Fit Barre punch card for $95, and I wish I didn't. This class was horribly boring. The music is inappropriate and at whisper volume (they were playing that depressing Adele song while we were supposed to be doing difficult ab moves, then "Sitting on the dock of the Bay" when we were at the barre doing "cardio"... not exactly a motivator), and the instructor, while in great shape, and a seemingly lovely person (hence the two stars, instead of one), really shouldn't be teaching group classes. She didn't seem to have any rhythm, and she had a hard time explaining the moves to the class. Half the time, she didn't do them with us, either. Too many breaks, too much over-explaining... not enough action, I guess. I can actually see how she would be an excellent pilates instructor, but Barre is supposed to be more "high octane". If you want to go to a really excellent Barre class, try Barre N9ne in Andover Center, and see Tanya. I won't make the mistake of going anywhere else again.

I am certainly glad I was wrong about that, and after one workout I was hooked. The trainers are excellent at modifying moves for beginners or if you have any physical limitations. The team atmosphere and the workouts are like nothing I have ever experienced at any other gym. This place motivates you to get better and work harder every time you walk through the door, something that I wasn't getting at my regular gym. I would typically wander around doing a little of this and a little of that and convincing myself that it was better than nothing. I guess that would be true if I was in the shape that I want to be in, but I am not. At Crossfit the workouts are laid out for you and the atmosphere makes you push yourself to a level that you didn't even know you had. I know that after 6 weeks I feel stronger and leaner than I have in a very long time. If you really want to make a change in the way you look and feel, you should give it a try.
