It has been a year since I have started Ortho treatment. I was apprehensive about taking on another…read moremonthly payment, but it was the best decision ever. Since the early year of my youth I desired to correct my gap, but it was not affordable. Now fast forward to the golden year of my (insert age here) life I took the plunge. Spending $2,500 - $6,000 on braces definitely required research. I searched several orthodontists and their backgrounds. I felt the most confident with Dr. Teifer based on her advanced training. The dental office is welcoming with bright colors and smiling faces. That is a good thing for parents with little ones since they offer pediatric dentistry. My visit was on a Saturday, which is the new patient consult day. I had x-rays completed, review of payment options and review of my dental needs with Dr. Teifer. After that, I decided to put money down and start treatment. My employer offers adult ortho coverage, so my out of pocket was not so high. Otherwise, I would not have gotten braces. For the cost of a daily latte I have begun the transformation process. The great part is they offer in house payment options with no interest. This made my decision much easier. There was a noticeable difference in my gap closure and teeth structure within a few months and I still have 12 months to go. My adjustment visits are planned in advance and last less than 30 minutes. The tightening of the wire was really uncomfortable in the beginning, but is manageable now since my space has closed up tremendously. At this point I have to wear rubber bands 24/7, which has taken me back to looking like a kid, but I love the results so far. Getting braces has made a difference for me personally and I feel comfortable at Today's Orthodontics. *update with photos once complete will posted*

July 2017: So every experience I've had here since I got my braces on has been great until today…read more You don't mess with my money. That aspect of your business should be together. July 10th these are coming off. I'll be going somewhere else if my teeth aren't where I want them fully. Update - May 2018: Since this review, things did become a bit better until yesterday. I called the canton location because my not so permanent retainer fell off ($350) and I wanted to get it replaced. The rep on the phone tells me that I have a balance of $100 from that installation. Here we go with the billing nonsense again! I kindly tell the rep that I paid for my permanent retainer with my medical FSA and signed up for the remaining $100 to be automatically withdrawn from my account MONTHS ago. I've literally had my permanent retainer for months! So, when I call today you just casually tell me I have a balance? Why is this not something that was not withdrawn and/or rectified months ago? Here I am thinking that I'm paid in full and can get my retainer replaced. The rep tells me that she is going to call me back and won't schedule my appointment to get my retainer fixed until she figures out my "billing" issue. Honestly, enough is enough. I used to love this company and what it stood for, but it's just a hot mess. And why is my almost $400 retainer falling off anyway? I am leaving for Aruba tomorrow and cannot get my teeth taken care of. It's like I'm better off starting over somewhere else! My teeth are constantly separating and now my permanent retainer won't stay on? I've invested so much money...

The cleaning went smoothly and x-ray and check up was as good as it could be. I'm so happy to have found this location and I highly recommend it to anyone, who is looking for quality pediatric dental care. Thank you Dr Maddie and team!!

He has decided to only be in network with only one insurance company, meaning everyone that doesn't use that carrier has to pay out of pocket, and pay significantly more for the same services we have always received. Where my son's checkups didn't have any cost to me previously, they now have significant cost. And any work he may need in the future would cost much more. They began to make this change several years ago but then went back to taking my BCBS insurance in network. I spent a lot of time shopping for something they would accept, which just ended up being a waste of time. And now they have done it again. When I asked the staff why, the answer is that "Dr Jason has chosen to do this" without a single further word of explanation. The clear reason he is doing it: MONEY. He doesn't care that patients will leave. He's more considered about the ins and outs of insurance processing than he is about the well being of his patients. I can not say enough great things about this practice! I took my daughter here about a year and…read morehalf ago after multiple experiences at our regular dentist where she had full meltdowns and was terrified. After 1 visit here, my daughter LOVES the dentist. Every hygienist has been great, kind and are always giving positive reinforcement. The dentist himself has been so thorough and explains everything to us in a way we understand. At the end of the visit, they get a token to select a prize, something my daughter looks forward to. I recommend this practice everyone!

So I looked into local pediatric dentist and this one seemed good. we went in with our family dentist care plan and the tooth that needed the fillling. they insisted that they needed to asses her themselves and since our insurance was going to cover it I said okay. They then proceeded to tell me that my daughter needed 6 fillings and 3 crown!!!! Again we see our family dentist every 6 months and get yearly xrays done. I felt completely overwhelmed when we left after the initial visit but knowing we needed the one tooth filled i agreed to a slow treatment plan with the first vist tackling the original tooth we went in for and one crown. They contacted my insurance and gave me our cost for everything. I then had my daughters new X-rays sent to our regular dentist since we had cleanings in just a few weeks. After the initial visit with Clarkston pediatric dentistry filling the original tooth we went in for our cleanings with our family dentist he took a look at her X-rays and said do not let them do anymore crowns since those teeth were baby teeth and not long for this wold. I felt horrible that I put my daughter through all that and almost let them give her a moth full of metal. Since then 2 of those teeth are very near falling out and one is already out. they also charged me more after I canceled the remaining appointments which were several weeks out. this was on top of the original payment I made and what my insurance paid. I see though that they are doing away with delta dental because they can not agree on prices and what they should charge for services. In my opinion this place is strictly in it for the money they will fill fill fill any tooth to get paid. Please be careful and get a second opinion if you get told a ridiculous amount of work that needs to be done on your child's mouth.

Since March, we've had two appointments cancelled with no explanation "due to the pandemic" while every other dentist in Novi is still up and running. Prior to the pandemic we've had so many issues with being able to book appointments within reasonable time frames. They actually won't let you book a 6 month check up when you're leaving an appointment! You have to call back within some shorter time frame and by then they're already booked well past the time frame you need. The dentist's we've had there have been fine, but with such an incompetent front desk and office staff it's a wonder this place is still in business. I've just had it with this place.
