I was told that they do take walk ins but it appears those are taken when there is an opening. So, you really want to have an appointment to keep your waiting time to a minimum. My regular stylist is out due to surgery and some medical issues so that is why I was looking for an alternative. I still felt like I was cheating on her, even though she is unavailable to see me at this time. I had a 9:00 appointment (when they open) the following day and I had to wait about 10 minutes before Caroline, my stylist, came to get me. I found Caroline to be very pleasant and eager to please. She was very concerned about my comfort and was so easy to talk to. Other Yelp reviews that complain about the length of time, need to remember that this is a school and you are receiving services from a student that is learning how to provide the services you are receiving. The price reflects this. Where else can you receive a shampoo, haircut and blow dry for $12.00? I thought that Caroline did an amazing job and took great care to give me an excellent haircut. My hair is very thin and fine, so it usually takes awhile to get all those layers cut. I found the instructors to be very kind and helpful and provide instruction without being condescending to the student. One thing that tickled me was all of the mannequin heads that the students work on to learn from. They are a rubber head with various hair types that slip into a tripod holder. They even wear a cape. Every time I turned my head there was another one! I asked the girls next to me if they named them and one said "Manny Quinn"! :-) I was there probably about two hours, but the time went by so fast. She took great care to put into action what she just learned in class that week. She was very open to learning from the instructors that shared a technique to try. How awesome to be able to help someone gain skills and get a great haircut in the process!?! She will no doubt become a little faster with more practice and experience. We all start out doing things a little slower in the beginning and become more efficient with experience. Please show some patience and grace with the student stylists. I also bought some product, if you bought 3 items you received 20% off their price. So the total charge for my haircut and 3 products came to $40 plus tax and tip to the stylist. I had a wonderful morning and was glad I chose Ogle School for my service today!

My daughter had a wonderful experience at Creme. She graduated from Ms. Nazima's PK program and we…read morehad a 4 year old who could read and do math with the best of them. When she graduated PK in 2023-2024 class. She made amazing friends in that class and going into public school, she was leaps and bounds ahead. Her teachers were amazed and commended her PK teacher for preparing her so well. The staff, administrators and teachers care about their students and they try to make learning very engaging. She experienced music and art and computers and be able to tell me about how the self portrait was in the style after Picasso. Ms. Nazima herself is a jewel and should never be let go at all costs because she loves kiddos like they are her own. The extra events and parties that Creme holds are also very special and fun. The Halloween party was so much fun we all still talk about it. I highly recommend them. We also have really enjoyed the second year of Camp Champ in the summer.

In fact the routine of wearing a uniform actually helped with his organization skills. We could not be any happier. The student to teacher ratio is ideal; on average, there are about 10 kids in each class. His previous school had 800 students in his whole class. At Newman, he has about 60 students in his entire class. Newman really is private school experience without the expense. Teachers are very genuine; it's really about the kids. My son's GPA went from 2.3 to a 3.4. He is involved in sports just as he was at his previous school with the exception that he is actually being coached. It's refreshing.

I'm taking off a star because I waited in chairs for about 15 minutes after my appointment time. Also at the end they asked if I wanted to get cash back for my stylist & I got confused & the girl at the desk acted pretty impatient. Their package for birthday party was great including fun activities, food & drinks supplied and also taken care of goody bags. I took around 20 kids from ages 4-14 both boys and girls. Each of the kid enjoyed making pizzas, decorating cupcakes and coloring their chef hats. They have engaging activities and even the older kids weren't bored either. My birthday girl felt very special as they had given her the attention specifically as well. We adults were 7-10 in number and had a good room to roam around and have pizza & drinks(which I purchased separately).

Over these last months, my daughter's cooking skills have really blossomed. She's been doing great with listening and following directions, as well as cooking skills such as safely cutting food and measuring ingredients. Every month there are different themes as well. It's wonderful thing to watch your child prepare and cook the food, and then at the end watch them eat happily and proudly that something was made by their own two hands. One math teacher I had screamed at me and other students constantly and taught with fear rather then patience, I used to cry because she would pick on me over and over again in class because I have a sleeping disorder and mental illness so I wasn't preforming well. Do you like being discriminated against based on how you act and dress? Fear not this place will do that to you! If you wear a non normal fashion they will target you and follow you around in the mornings to make sure you don't have anything thats not allowed in dress code. The rules are made up. by the teachers half the time It says so in the student handbook. Most teachers were great but the disciplinary department is so awful. If you want your kids to cry every night because they don't think they're good enough then send them here. She actually whispered "box" to me. I will not ever be going back and feel that along with teaching the kids how to do hair, they should provide the example of what service should look like.
