I had blood work to do which I was suppose to ship it to U.S. I went to this particular location twice showing everything to them from my paperwork to my blood drawing kit and they agreed to draw my blood. Due to certain medical issue my doctor advised me get my blood work done on certain day. Therefore, I went to their location on that day and it happened to be Saturday. The lady on the counter upright refused to do my blood work and said since it's Saturday and they close at 12:30 so she cannot do my blood work and moreover they had lot of people sitting to get their blood work done. I was at this place at 11:00 but since she realized that she will have to do some work she said no to me and told me she does not care whom I have spoken to earlier but my blood work cannot be done in spite of me bringing in everything they required for my blood test . Her unprofessional behaviour surprised me. She was not even talking to me properly and was busy looking at the people behind me. Really wanted to ask that's how you take care of patients especially when you are in the business were your primary job is to do your best and help take care of people? All the big claims these companies make look good only on their paper and on their websites and when it's actually time to serve people you get to see totally opposite of it. I was so stressed out and I had to go around looking for another lab as it was really crucial to get my blood work done on that day. Found another lab who also happen to work till 12:30 too but since they knew their job well they did my blood work. This was height of unprofessional behaviour. First of all they should not make false promises to patients. Second have some sympathy and consideration for patients.They are not their to make your life hell. Third do your job and be professional. Don't start turning away patients who were their way before your closing time just because you anticipate that more work is involved in it.

They're open Saturday and Sunday. They can send your blood work to your doctor's office when they get the test results back. My first experience with this place was pretty good and I would go there again if I had to. I got there in the morning on Sunday and there was only one person ahead of me. The nurse and staff was very friendly and personable. I told her I had a thyroid condition and ITP, which makes me bleed more then a normal person. I also have an under active thyroid which I think has been making me feel more sluggish, so my doctor wanted to run a thyroid test on me. I'm also frequently low on Iron and B 12. The nurse told me to wait a few minutes until the bleeding stopped after doing the blood test (I know it's gross but you don't want to know what happens when I cut my self badly) and checked to see if it stopped. Once the bleeding stopped I was good to go. I would rather go to this place, then have to wait for ever to get blood work done at my regular doctor's office and it's close to my home so it's convenient for me.

They take care of you here, not the "in-your-face" kind of help you get from a salesperson at you clothing store. But they try to make the needle process as painless as possible. And this is what makes me happy here, they're not rushing. I've found out the best time to go is 4-5pm as most people try to go early in the morning as some tests require fasting.

First time the wait was annoying but a little more tolerable due to warm weather. Second visit, just like the first, I arrived 10 minutes early as instructed. After 25 min waiting outside I finally got in out of the cold and was able to sit down. I'm a left leg amputee and standing for long periods is harder for me than most. There are no chairs or anything to sit on outside their office. Most disappointing is that the staff couldn't have cared less. I'm not looking for 5 star concierge service at a blood lab but I would have thought someone would have been concerned about the issue I raised. I just got silence and a too bad so sad look. It's conveniently located but for me that's all it has going for it. And be prepared that they will be well behind in their schedule.

The lab technicians do not update them real time. It might 7 mins wait , 15 mins later of your check in , it will still be 7mins or might go back to 10 mins. and for another 30 mins you will still be waiting for your turn. First, reflect the true wait times and appointments wait, do not fool the customer. Either have a tool and respect it or don't use the tool if you are can't work according to the tool rules. It is just fooling the customer, attracting them based on false wait times and not respecting to what you are promising.

Alpha Laboratories opened up here just a couple of years ago when the plaza was developed. There are a lot of parking spots that get filled up quickly, but I've never had a problem finding a spot. The lab is fairly small inside. The waiting room seats several people, but it's not particularly useful since the wait is extremely short. I haven't seen more than 2 others waiting when I come by. When you walk in, they give you a slip with a number on it. On the other side is a sudoku puzzle to help pass the time. How thoughtful. However, I rarely have to wait longer than 10 minutes. This is a huge contrast to some of the more popular labs, like Life Labs. I've been to multiple Life Labs locations in the past and there's always a line out the door and the wait can be an hour or more. The phlebotomists here also work the front desk. They're both skilled and caring. They get the job done quickly. Alpha Labs is my go-to place for blood work because I value my time.

Was told that my doctor had not given me the correct paperwork. Had to call my doctor's office, only to find out that the paperwork I submitted was accurate (AFTER the lady on the desk checked with her colleagues). WTF. 2. I asked if I had to pay for the test. She said "no", then asked a colleague who said "yes". Okaaaaay. 3. I handed her my card, assumed she was swiping it (couldn't see beneath the counter top), she handed me back my card and said I needed to pay. WHAT. I thought I just did. No, that's done by someone else. 4. Constant, incessant interruptions by her colleagues left me waiting and waiting and waiting. Finally, I had enough and suggested she focus on completing my transaction to which I received a mouthful and to which I responded accordingly. They need to train their front-line staff AND they need an additional person on the front desk. All I wanted to do was hand in a specimen and it took waaaaaay longer than it should have with a lot of aggro. Go to another Dynacare if you can. Had to get blood work done so as per the websites request to make things go quicker, I uploaded my…read morerequisition and 'checked in' online. This allows you to wait at home until closer to your time so you aren't crowding a waiting room. Wait time was 60 minutes so I waited 40 and made my way down only to be told once I got there that the check in doesn't work. So I had to wait in line for another 55 minutes. If you know it doesn't work then maybe take it off the website ‍. And then when I let the staff know I checked in before they told me it doesn't work the response I got was 'the check in doesn't work so if it's a problem come another day' which is sound advice for someone who doesn't have a full time job that they had to take time off of to come here.. 55 minutes later staff comes out with my uploaded form from their website only to be told they can't take it like that because the website seems to change it when they printed it. Luckily I was able to forward the email from my doctor directly to them otherwise I would have wasted over two hours of my day and half a days pay. They really should have one day dedicated walking and the rest of the week done by appointment. But to clarify, the staff were friendly, clearly frustrated with how busy it was but they were nice. And the service was as expected. I got the blood drawn. My issue is that the mother company tries to be online with checking in and uploading requisitions but there seems to be a lack of communication and organization when the online communicates with the actual centre. I did not need to waste over two hours of my day.
