Ive been a Signature Level 2 member since 2022 and to say my experience was underwhelming is an understatement. I remember going to the other location and it was fine. Then I heard about this location opening up on this date, on this date etc. I reached out to check on additional costs since originally it wasn't "included" on our member level. I believe they wanted $300 more on top of the $359 monthly. I told them they can pound sand. Then mysteriously this club was included in our membership. I was pumped to find this out. So I came here for massage today which Bailey did a great job but there are some key things missing with this club. First, no steam room in the Men's locker room? The Kids Academy? All of the kids are in one room together and it's a rather cramped room as well. I asked if there was plans to expand but there is not. I can't imagine brining a baby there because it's loud in there. I went to the Cafe and they were out of 3 types of Shakes - one I asked for before I was told they were out. Also, when I got my message, there was no Hot Tea available. I counted 12 trainers on the floor but only 2 were busy. I felt bad for them. The layout on the gym floor seemed very cramped between equipment. I'm glad they opened but some changes need to be made with this layout if possible esp with all the kids in one room. read more

I've been to probably 20 life times, this is by far the most expensive and the least nice one I've been to. Mediocre at best, definitely lacking on amenities all around. Also can we talk about the taste and temperature of the "filtered" water fountain? I want to gag every time I have to fill up my water bottle here. Please do something about that. The cafe is consistently below par. The smoothies are never blended and always full of large chunks of ice and whatever fruit you add. Nobody wants to have to chew their smoothie. read more

Disappointed with Inconsistent Policy Enforcement I usually don't leave reviews, but I feel like this needs to be said. I drove an hour out of my way to come to this Life Time location today, only to be turned away at the front desk because my membership is with a different location. What frustrates me most is that just a few days ago, I came to this exact location and was let in with no issue. No one mentioned anything about a restriction or location-specific access. So naturally, I assumed it wouldn't be a problem again. I completely understand that there are different tiers of membership. That's not the issue. The problem is the lack of consistency and communication. If it's not allowed, fine -- but why was it allowed earlier? There needs to be clearer policies and better training for staff so members aren't misled or wasting time. For a company that prides itself on premium service, this experience really missed the mark. Pool is disgusting. Looks like it is never vacuumed. Dirt in the same spots for weeks. Horrible pickleball courts. Deadspots everywhere. Lazy staff. Stand around talking while equipment lays around on the ground. Quickly turning into monkey jungle. read more

This place is extremely underwhelming. They claim to be "luxury" but feels like a planet fitness. The waitlist story varies on who you ask. The pool was out of order for over a month, but no discount to the already to high rates. There is also an initiation fee that varies per person. Currently over $1000. What a waste considering I am canceling after 2 months. The club has many rules and an overall bad vibe. Lots of wasted space. Tiny spin room, yoga next to the loudest kids club I've ever heard. Sauna is constantly broken. The instructors I took were all good. But this was a big miss. I wish Tampa got an equinox instead. read more

This place is not worth it. If you are on the waitlist and get off, don't bother touring. Save your money, I mean that. You will be so disappointed. The rates are only increasing and the initiation fee is up to 1k. Nothing ever works. I am not kidding I go to the gym to relieve stress. This place causes me more stress because nothing ever works. The sauna is down at least every other week, it took almost 2 months for the pool to open and the cold plunge also goes in and out of phases of when its available for use. Every time you ask someone when things are going to be fixed they come up with some bogus lie and act as if it's not a massive inconvenience to being a member. Lastly - the trainers walk in circles and look so bored every single day, god bless them and their sanity. Stay at your current gym. I promise I am saving you time, money & a headache. read more

After being a member for several years and waiting through all the construction delays and false starts, to pay these type of rates for just above average amenities, it's amazing to me that the employees are so rude. It starts as soon as you walk in the door. Instead of a "good morning" at best, you're snubbed. Thats fine, but today the front desk lady "Lonna" rudely yelled at me for coming in on Thanksgiving. With such attitude. As if she's had to tell me this time and time again. Yet, I've never seen her before, and the club was open, full of customers. What? On my way out, I asked another person the lady's name and got a big run around, he didn't know who that person working the front desk could have been, and apparently there was no manager on duty today. I don't go there to socialize, I'm not part of whatever clique they have going on, but I'll be damn if I'll be talked down too and disrespected. I live 2 blocks away and watched them build the new facility step-by-step for months. Barely any progress was being made. Then a week before the opening they started announcing delays. Duh. Morons. When I started as a founding member, $300 initiation fee + $300/month, the pickleball courts were HORRIBLE. They messed up the installation. They are borderline unplayable. I asked for a full refund, denied. I asked to pay HALF of the monthly fees since they're only delivering HALF of why I joined. Denied. They have taken ZERO financial accountability. Nice people but horrible business practices. Lifetime is an amazing brand nationwide. This "signature club" does not live up to this standard. Cancelled. And they are still trying to get me to stay on for a paused membership fee of $15/month for no access, but can rejoin whenever. What a deal!!! HARD PASS read more

It's been a month and the pool still isn't open. They keep blaming the inspector but I call bullshit. The parking lot still has construction debris and dumpsters in it. We shouldn't be paying full price but they offer no concessions, only a stiff arm. The sauna is too small and the floor is tile which makes it really dirty all the time. The Harbour Island facility, although not perfect, is a great achievement by Lifetime! I've seen many negative reviews about the gym and memberships, but that has not been my experience. Upon walking in, you are welcomed by super friendly staff, whom check you in and make sure you belong. They will not let you in if you are not a member or guest of someone. My favorite part of Lifetime is the tennis and pickleball courts. The lead tennis professional, Coach Alex is the best! Definitely ask for him if you need lessons or anything! The pool is not open yet, but I have faith that they know what they're doing, and it will be amazing when it does open. The gym is beautiful. Has everything you could possibly need in a gym and more. I'll wrap up by saying, don't listen to the negativity and check it out for yourself. Lifetime Harbour Island is a wonderful facility, and I highly recommend it to anyone! read more
