I just joined this gym. Really good facility, nice staff. I like the pool and hot tub, Zumba class, rock climbing wall. The price is worthy.

Ask the Community - Life Time

Do they keep the saunas, indoor pool, whirlpool and outdoor pools open until midnight?

I doubt the outdoor pool. But everything else mentioned yes.

I love that the café is spacious and if you choose to do work here, you can do just that (btw, just reminded myself that I forgot my Mocha Smoothie, don't be like me.

We came to him with…read morea lot of pain, discomfort and limited range of motion resulting from number of persistent injuries, and exacerbated by the physical demands of a thirty-pound toddler. After just a few short weeks of intensive work-outs with David, we experienced a level of relief from joint problems (affecting knees, hips, shoulders, ankles and wrists) that had seemed unattainable despite several rounds of effort with physical therapists and consultations with orthopedists. David clearly has a keen understanding of joint function and inter-relationships among different parts of the body and nervous system, and a skilled eye for subtle signs of injury, muscle imbalance and misalignments. He not only designs the customized workouts to solve the problem, but also is passionate about educating clients on how to move with greater agility, flexibility and strength in ways that minimize toxic stress and build resilience to injury and the effects of aging, making it a great investment that goes well beyond our short-term recovery goals. He has a quirky and humorous style with enough "drill sergeant" to help you move beyond your comfort zone and accomplish things you wouldn't have thought possible or even worthwhile (like dead-lifting 150 lb), but balanced with enough support and encouragement to keep you from getting pissed off and discouraged. Absolute Fitness is a very positive, welcoming environment. The other trainers are also extremely friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging, and they foster good camaraderie among each other and their clients. It's fun and inspiring to cheer each other on as we try new things and struggle to build more strength and skill.

Coming from Equinox, I was impressed by the similar modern vibe and high-end amenities they offer, though the products are not identical. The facility is exceptionally clean and modern, featuring a great selection of classes, a dry sauna, and even a convenient juice bar. I particularly love their flexible membership options that don't lock you into a long-term commitment. It's an excellent value proposition and a fantastic option for anyone seeking luxury fitness without the heavy price tag.

For some reason Drop Fitness doesn't open until 7AM on weekends! So you lost me there. I also noticed they close very early M-F and even earlier on the weekends. So I took a couple of classes and the yoga room was enormous- for such a small gym I don't see why they need a yoga room the size of a basketball court. Then I took a class with Joanna "JoJo" who might have been having a bad day or is just not well mannered but either she was unprofessional and her attitude was very unattractive. Came across like she is better than everyone else and snobby- not my cup of tea. Pro's- the gym is pretty clean, the locker rooms are nice (but no steamer) and the members seem like they have a nice vibe. I joined LifeTime instead as operating hours are very important to me and I can't take classes with instructors who carry themselves like that.

The main issue is the deterioration of benefits without any change in the premium price point. Ever since Equinox decided to leave the partnership with Kiehl's and focus its expansion on the California network, the benefits of the gym have not improved; in fact, they've noticeably deteriorated. While the facility is still attractive, the value proposition has plummeted. I finally made the switch and decided to seek better value elsewhere. The high price no longer justifies the reduced perks and benefits offered at this location.

Personally, I don't care much for eucalyptus towels and I don't care much for the showers as I prefer to shower at home. They have 3 racks and tons of treadmills/ellipticals, etc. They have the basics to do a decent workout but they need some extra cable attachments and some additional benches imo. The overall layout of the gym didn't make much sense to me either. The racks are upstairs and the leg extension and hamstring curl machines are downstairs. I think the overall placement of the equipment can use some work.

I took the Ignite Express class which is essentially the same as a HIIT class. Crossfit Ignite offers your first class FREE! You've got nothing to lose! This location is slightly difficult to find... there was not a ton of signage outside. So keep a close eye out for it! There is a small check in area to sign in. Note: There was no one there to guide me through the check in process, but just find your name and check in... simple enough. Next up is the shared locker room with cubbies to keep your belongings. Then onto where the magic happens... is only one spacious work out room which has a cool street vibe with graffiti on the walls. This is where I was greeted by an employee. I def stood out as a newcomer it seems to be a small studio where everyone knows everyone else. Throughout the class she made sure to check on me/demo moves. The people in the class are good vibes too. Almost everyone in the class came up to me before, during, or after the class to introduce themselves/chat. It was also a huge age range. That is one of my fave things about HIIT you do as much as you can at any variation within the time frame given. Again, I did really enjoy the actual work out. I felt challenged and v sore the next day. Two improvement items would be more pump up music... The music was kept at a p low volume throughout the entire class.. I don't need blaring music, but I like it a little loud. Basically worked out to the sounds of grunting, heavy breathing, and dropping of weights. Also I wish there were more Ignite Express Classes. There are only 3 each week and 2 of them are in the middle of the day so if you have a normal 9-5ish job... you can only go to the one on Saturday. This is the only thing keeping me from buying an unlimited specialty classes membership.
