This place would be 5 star, but I'm subtracting 3 stars for a few things: 1. The so called Family Locker Room - there is a CONSTANT flow of employees and childless individuals using it as a shortcut to the pools and other locker rooms! My husband and I have complained multiple times, but the manager never seems to be there to speak with! I go to classes almost every day at different times of the day, and never have I ever gotten to speak to a manager when asking for one! The issue has not been resolved, and the person responding to these reviews says their locker rooms are consistently monitored - that is absolutely FALSE!!!! My husband and I have told more people to leave the Family Locker Room than this (Will Clayton Dr.) Lifetime staff has! It's so bad that I don't even feel comfortable going in there w/ my daughters as the majority of childless people walking through the Family Locker Room are men!!!! I have 2 sons, and 2 daughters, and I have started sending my sons into the Men's Locker Room alone to change while my baby daughters and I use the Women's Locker Room! 2. The landscaping is horrible!!!! The palm trees out by the pool look pitiful! The dead dried up leaves are just hanging and could fall on anyone! The water fountains by the outside food area do not work, and it looks like they haven't worked for a long time! They are dirty, dusty, and there are leaves and bugs in the drains. 3. I really like everyone I've met in the daycare, and I haven't had a problem until last night. My 5 month old daughter was in a swing, facing the wall, and screaming and could barely catch her breath when I walked in to get her after my class! My phone number was written, by me before i left my baby before my class, on the dry erase board for any of the staff members to call me out of class, and I never got a phone call to tell me she was screaming! When i picked her up, the woman told me my daughter had been crying for a while, as i could tell she had been! I will be speaking to someone about this when I go back tonight. It'd be one thing if there were a bunch of crying babies in there, but besides my daughter, there was one other baby in there, who the woman was holding when i walked in, and that baby was smiling and seemed perfectly fine while my baby was stuck in the corner FACING THE WALL! I don't know the woman's name right off hand, but I will catch it tonight if she's there. Other than those 3 things, I really enjoy going to the classes, and pool. It's just really sad that this place is considered to be an upscale fitness facility, but the lack of attention paid to customer concerns and landscaping makes it seem not so! read more

I appreciate lifetime for always being so clean and helping everyone during the flood . A lot of gyms just want your membership and contacting them can be like jumping through hoops , I have never felt scammed with lifetime they always treat me as a vip customer and appreciate me . I love the fact that it's 24 hours and you can swim anytime . The hot tub renovation lets people feel like they're in a waterfall I absolutely love it . Lifetime Cafe is the best at my vegan smoothies they even add vegan protein I appreciate them for replacing my stamped cards after the flood , with so much lost they were like a light at the end of the tunnel they have me for a lifetime ! read more

I've been a memeber since January I believe, and it was a really nice experience I kept reading reviews that it was bad and NOW I'm starting to believe it the women's locker room is disgusting! Towel bins are over flowing. It's always dirty, and NEVER has towels anymore. You can really tell they need to hire people. When I go to my class I just get a towel there. The instructors are the ones I see always refilling the towels. & i know it's a gym but mannnnnn the weight area smells so bad. I really loved it. But the parking lot is always full all hours of the day. And some machines aren't marked and don't even work. I understand kids can attend a gym but lately it's been a lot of them. The only reason why I've stayed is because of the classes and instructors. read more

Managers/ upper management should better trained their staff to explained that if they give a temporary pass to their guest that after a certain time they can not enter the gym. It is very upsetting to come 15 to 20 minutes out to be turn away. Especially when he gym is empty. read more

If I could rate the customer service at this location as a zero I would. Alicia Cole-Anthony's computer is apparently broke because she doesn't respond to emails regarding account cancelations and neither does their GM Jeremy. For over two months I've been emailing them asking them to resolve a cancelation issue with my account but they never respond and now charged me a prorated amount for their negligence. This review is regarding the swim lessons available for kids at Lifetime. I was talked into trying swim lessons a second time by management who stated they have a new swim director in place. Before, I hated that the classes didn't start on time but would end promptly at the scheduled time. We pay for a 30 minute lessons that is what we should receive. I also didn't see much progress. My son started a month ago with Coach Austin and we are so happy. Coach Austin is really good with kids and whatever he is doing works. We have seen so much improvement over 4 weeks. I've been a member of Lifetime for about 2 years and have really enjoyed it. From many classes, pools, and equipment to chose from you will never become bored with your routine. I also have children, so finding a gym with quality childcare is of utmost importance. They have age-appropriate and organized activities for the kids which they enjoy. My younger one gets to do songs, bubbles, parachute and free play while my older child gets to do the rock wall, bounce house, I Pads, inside and outside play, ball games and more. They both beg to come to "camp" so they can play. The staff is usually very attentive and know many of the kids by name. I've seen them several times working to calm down a scared new child, or gently redirecting a child who has gotten out of hand. During the school breaks, they open the outdoor pools and waterslides which is always a treat for my kids. They have life vests provided for non-swimmers and older kids can take a swim test to be allowed into certain areas. Both my children have taken swim lessons here and enjoyed their teachers. Their favorites are Mr. Austin and Ms. Stacy. My son loves Ms. Stacy so much that he even picked out a gift for her the last holiday. She is always very positive and encouraging of the kids and pushes them to do their best. read more

I was so excited about joining this gym! I have been feeling down about myself emotionally and wanted to workout and gain confidence in a positive and uplifting environment. I had a great interaction with the Sales Staff and the sign up was easy and clear to understand. Everything went downhill after my interaction with the Personal Training staff. I was approached by an older man with long dreads named Jeremy Phillips. He appeared to be under the influence of some sort and the interaction was very uncomfortable and awkward for me. He touched me to correct my form without my consent and was very close to my body. He then tried to sell me Personal Training sessions at a discount because he truly wanted to 'help' me. Being that I am a younger woman, the interaction was inappropriate. I have since then seen him on the fitness floor and the way he stares at me while I work out makes me feel very tense and sick to my stomach. I will be cancelling my gym membership because of him. I brought this to the attention of Kat, one of the PT managers, and she seemed very uninterested and did not care to correct her employee. Why is he able to treat women like this? read more

This club cheated us from the 1st day when we signed up, we kept telling the club's representative, Terry Torres, that we want to pay month-by-month plan because we do not want to be stuck with one year contract if our kids do not like the club, and we were ok paying higher monthly fees. The club's representative set us up and told us we are on month-to-month basis as requested. 6 months later, we decided not to use the club anymore and called the club to cancel it, they told us we were on 1-year contract, not month-by-month, how it is possible? We talked to the same representative,Terry Torres again, he said he is sorry he did not know what happened but nothing was done. Apparently, they have been doing everything they can to have customers signing up and be stuck with the 1-year contract without informing customer about that. A year later, when we meet the contract term, they still did everything to delay our cancellation and keep charging us ridiculous fees. Please do some research regarding customer experience, their customer service before signing up with Life Time Fitness. read more

I use 3 LT locations in the Houston area depending on the day or timing. All of the locations can be a bit crowded but there is not shortage of equipment. The Atascosita location in particular has managed to attract every self important arrogant muscle headed man and woman in Houston. Basic gym etiquette is out the window, maybe the plethora of personal trainers should add this to their curriculum? I have even been threatened just for the perception of being in someone else's "space. Who needs it? You go to the gym to de-stress, not to add to it. If this location is your only option then look for other options. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE. It's not just a typical gym, but activities that not only you, but children or the whole family will enjoy. When I came for my tour, I fell in-love with the whole place that I knew I had to be part of it. Membership fee is $150 and monthly payment cost about $68. It may be a lot, but you know it's worth every penny when you come see it! They have a fully loaded gym equipments, indoor and outdoor pools that has water slides that the children will enjoy. Outdoor mini bar/cafeteria is also available when you get hungry and want to grab something to eat! and oh, they also have lap pools. Life time offers Jacuzzi s, men, women and family locker rooms, dry and regular wet sauna, cafeteria that serves healthy meals, Spa and Salon that gives you a great service inside. Personal trainers are great, and the whole staff is friendly! The whole place is well organize, and it is very clean which I love! They have basketball, volleyball, outdoor boot camp, and even rock climbing available for you. Full yoga, Vinsaya or hot is available and Pilate classes that offers you great results with very pricey and expensive machines available. Don't forget a great, clean and roomy day care center where you can leave you children if you want to workout for a few min or hours. The place is big and mostly everyone looks fit and healthy which is pretty motivating for me. I will continue to be a part of this wonderful place. read more

I have been a member at Lifetime Fitness for over one year. It was a pleasant experience until game 6 of the NBA finals. All downstairs TVs were tuned to college baseball. Numerous customers including myself requested a channel change to watch the historic game 6 of the finals. The operations manager Corey refused this request, stating it is a difficult process and he could not accommodate 15 customer's request. When I talked to the sales staff they also would not help. This was a small request considering the $120 per month I pay with no complaint. Bad move Life Time Fitness. Corey you need to leave customer service. read more

The facility is as good as it gets, however the employees are sub par. Everytime I have ever talked to an account manager or anybody with remotely any power at all, I feel very rushed as if they are just trying to get me out of the door. It's quite obvious, if you don't like dealing with people get a job to where you don't have to interact with people. On a second note their contract is ridiculous. There are so many things that their club representatives will not tell you, and on some of the notions I have even asked a direct question only to be lied to and have to find out later that I'm screwed. Also one of the big reasons I joined was for their lovely rock wall, I can only work out later at night because I am very busy and I have yet to climb it because it is always closed. Overall the gym is great, the business SUCKS! read more

LifeTime Lake Houston is pure perfection. It has EVERYTHING! Every bit of the staff is incredible; from the greeters at the door, to leadership, to fitness instructors, childcare, etc. I am in LT Lake Houston A LOT, every time is a top notch experience. They have tons of wonderful, clean equipment. The classes are wonderful. The spa and cafe are top notch. My children are in swim lessons there are have progressed extremely quickly. Today I am here as a guest with my best friend. This place is like a hotel lobby without the rooms! There is a spa, cafe, full sized pools indoor and outdoor. When it comes to gyms, you definitely get what you pay for. Lifetime fitness is the best commercial gym I've ever been to. Been a member since 2011 and have loved every location I've ever had the pleasure of using to get my jack swoll on! From the moment I walk in, the staff greets me with a friendly hello and smile making me feel comfortable and ready to kill it with the weights. They have a great sauna and steam room as well as pool, hot tubs, basketball courts, child care, and party rooms! The best part is the upstairs where the magic happens! I have been a member of Lifetime fitness for 8 years. Through three pregnancies and three post pregnancy slimming down period. I love love this Gym. I love the kid enter and all the extra activities. I love the salon and the cafe. I love the father daughter dance and the breakfast with Santa. Never once been unhappy. we love the pools and the staff. Its pricey but its been worth it. LifeTime Fitness, Lake Houston: I have been trying to get my membership cancelled for over a year now. I even supplied them with a doctor's note (2011) and they still have not cancelled my account they put it on "FREEZE". I've spoken/emailed a total of 3 managers since: Ryan Brister (which conveniently no longer works there), Nicole Artavia (never responded to my emails), and Haley which refused to give me her last name or last name initial when I told her I would be reporting her very rude and belligerent attitude to her corporate office. I am no longer dealing with them and have filed a claim and a stop payment request with my bank which costs me $30. Sad to say this is how they treat you after spending over $2,000 in membership fees plus bootcamp (which is an additional cost). read more

.The gym is nice and clean, but TERRIBLE front desk service due to having young kids working at the front, so long story short I had brought two guess with me last night and this was before 9pm, The three guys working at the front desk checking people in was just being rude to my guest. My guests were there before I got there and they were going get a memberships there that night the guys at the front desk said that they had to pay $20 to get in after letting some other people in since they knew them and had no membership, because they knew each other. So after all that we drove 30 mins or so for a bad service like that to get to the gym we had to leave. So I canceled my membership and my fiancé, and will tell my other family members to cancel there membership as well due to bad front desk service. I pay about $130 a month and get bad experience like that is a major negative and big impact on the place of business especially in sales area. read more

The place is nice but the staff are NOT(Nicole &Cory )!! We live in Houston and we usually go to the lifetime by city center,the staff there is great. I have a big family and they live in humble and they go to lifetime on will Clayton, we got the Elite membership so the kids can play basketball with there cousins at life time when we come visit the family on the weekend .The last two three times the lifetime management have been very rude to our kids and we felt like we are not welcomed and that we got treated very poorly because of our race and color . The place is run by white people and I guess only white people are welcomed here !!! read more

I love the facility. The place is huge and usually mostly clean. The child care center is awesome and I particularly enjoy cycling with Lindsey, David, Henry and *James!! They are awesome!! They have a variety of classes, activities, and several pools. Lots of equipment, I never have to wait. Like any club, some people are friendly, some are snobby, some are quiet, some are gossips, you know how that is if you live on earth. I ignore those I don't like and enjoy everyone else. I work out and I have seen results. Personally as trainers go I like Mrs. Shannon, she is super nice, James is awesome and Danae is very friendly. I really love this place and I have found that most people here are super friendly. I know the employees have lots of rules to follow and so sometimes they might not know all the rules and probably couldn't possibly go over them all at sign up. I have tried to get my friends to join, this place is not just for the wealthy as I have met a variety of people with a variety of income levels and all age groups. If you think you want to join ask for a weeks free membership they give out cards for a week periodically. read more

I use to love this gym and had nothing but good reviews for it. HOWEVER the second i put my account on hold due to the fact that I will not be in town for the next upcoming months IVE HAD THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER , The hold time frame on my account was close to expiring on 11/1. I actually made time to go up to the location and request an extension on the hold on 9/30, 30 days before as the their policy request. I was assisted and was told everything would be fine. Now it's 11/1 and I'm being charged the regular monthly fee and told that since nothing is notated on my account I never went up there. THIS IS ABSURD. I know i went up there, I know who i spoke to, and if they EVEN LOOK ON CAMERA RECORDINGS I WILL BE ON THEM. I'm being treated as a liar and now keep getting annoying collection calls because my payment has not been received. I WILL NOT PAY FOR A MISTAKE THAT WAS DONE BY AN EMPLOYEE WHO CAN'T DO THEIR JOB CORRECTLY. I was told that only the General Manager could help me, that's a joke. He is never available to help and always at "meetings". I've left him several VM and not one has been returned which is not surprising. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN. IT HAS BAD BUSINESS MORALS. NEW CUSTOMERS BEWARE. Don't get me wrong the actual location is great but the employees and customer service is horrendous. read more

great club, looks real nice and is clean, what bothers me is the amount of kids to adults ratio, pretty much all you see is kids working on arms or in "groups" just hanging out,. now, this part isnt lifetimes fault but the people in the basketball have no manners or recpect, and some of the employs are annoying.
