I have been a member of Life time for several years now. I wanted to switch things up and really take advantage of my membership. I decided to schedule a heated Pilates class. The class was hard but also relaxing because it was heated. The instructor was specific and knew her stuff. The class was full but you had to register to get a spot. We had plenty of room to spread out. I attend several life time locations and this one is close to work. The app is super convent and allows you to look for a specific class, locations and instructors. The facility is beautiful , well maintained and the gym environment is lively and energetic which helps motivate you. read more

Unfortunately Lifetime has declined in quality. I am not sure if their financial situation pushed them to accept just anyone and everyone but the place is not what it used to be. The equipment is not well kept and the people working out there can care less if slamming the machines will cause damage or not. I tried to take the yoga class and couldn't stand the bad smell in the class. People sit in the equipment scrolling through social media instead of working out. The restrooms are often dirty at the pool area. The end point for me was to see this guy who had an open wound in his lower leg walk in the pool. That was too much. I grabbed my son and left for good. It is sad to see what happened to this place. Nobody is there to monitor. Yucks. For the price that I was paying, I can go to Equinox and not deal with these issues. read more

Came back here again, and had another great workout! Gabby was really helpful at getting me checked in, and I got a solid back lift in. They had more back machines to choose from than other gyms I've been to. Also got a sandwich and protein shake at their cafe after my workout was done. Chris took my order and was very friendly and helpful. The food was enjoyable too. Overall, another good experience here. I'll come back again at some point when back in town! read more

The facility is nice but for the price...it is not worth it! I've been a member for 7yrs and I just cancelled my membership! Each year, the fees went up but the amenities never upgraded the experience. In fact, they went down. They are no longer open 24hrs. The classes they offer are not as good as they once were. And please do not find a class you really like. They will change the schedule of when the classes are offered and have them at the most unreasonable time. This gym has evolved into a disappointment. I have been a member since it was built. The equipment upkeep is poor yet rates seem to increase annually. The cycle studio is a joke. Roughly 1/3 of the bikes have some sort of issue. Multiple people have been informed about it yet nothing is done to correct the situation. Attempts to contact management never seem to work as management never seems to be present at the club. It is disappointing that there is always money to throw at some sort celebration but never to throw at basic upkeep of equipment. read more

Just a big scam I canceled my membership and they charged me for another month and my bank can't do nothing about it

I was a member of this gym for nearly two years. I have no complaints about this gym. However, let me clear about a few things. I got my membership right when gyms were reopening after the COVID-19 lockdown in 2019 at a special discounted rate. I never paid more than 96 dollars a month or less than 84 dollars a month. I never inquired why the prices were different but I suspect it has something to do with the days in the month. Be careful though, they will add an extra $3 for a magazine subscription. I kept getting magazines in the mail thinking wow my gym got free magazines now. Uhhh no, that was just me being naive. I was paying for every one of those magazines. The amenities are the best part. Being able to bring a friend twice a month and have twice month access to the $300 gym Downtown/Greenway Plaza was a huge perk. There's a waterpark slide that I utilized every summer. I don't have any complaints about this gym at all. Perhaps, in the near future, I'll reconsider joining but right now I'm trying out cheaper gyms closer to home. read more

I have been going to this gym for years, but today there has been a concerning incident. While using the gym facilities, someone opened my locker. Luckily nothing valuable was missing, but it makes me feel pretty uneasy. There have been a few reviews from other members about this issue as well. I reported the incident to the staff, but their response was not as reassuring as I had hoped. It would have been great if they were more proactive in addressing the issue and providing guidance on how to prevent such occurrences in the future. read more

This gym has nice stuff but when something needs to be fixed they take their time. The basketball rim should not take two weeks to be repaired. That is a timeline 24hr fitness would take to repair stuff and that's why I left that gym. I'm not happy I have to pay $120 more a month to come to a gym that operates like a 24hr fitness. They need to figure out how to operate like an upscale gym because people pay way too much to not be able to access all the amenities the gym has to offer. read more

People's vehicles are constantly being broken into here and nothing is done about it. Mine has personally been broken into twice in the past 6 months. You would think with as much as they charge for membership they would be able to have some sort of security on site. read more

Amenities are 5 Star, service and upkeep are 1 Star. Family locker room is a thoroughfare for meatheads and employees. Imagine being in the family locker room, (designated for CHILDREN with their parents mind you) while trying to get your daughters ready for the pool or wherever it may be, and there's a constant flow of male members and employees passing through just to avoid having to walk around through the adult locker rooms. I've raised the issue online and in person to multiple levels of management continually since last year and have gotten no response or action taken. To me this is a safety issue, as well as an infringement on the additional amount I pay each month for my children; the children's facilities are THEIRS, not the employees quiet place to take a dump or a shower, or the meatheads to pass through for a shorter route to the men's locker room or pool (guess they are worried they might accidentally work their legs out or get their heart rate up too much taking the extra steps)l, or MAYBE they are creepers taking a peak at children and moms getting changed. Step it up lifetime management, your attention to an important matter like this is a shame. In addition, the gym floor is littered with bags even though signs are all over the place stating no bags allowed. Further, spend some money on upkeep... the landscaping outside should not be in the condition it is considering the fact that this chain is what anyone would consider high end in its market space. Almost $200 a month for my family and get no consideration from management, I can't even get to the general manager, he seems to never be available no matter what day or time we are here. read more

I'd been a member of The Q Sports Club, back before 24 Hour Fitness took over, so I'm used to the welcoming decor and cleanliness of a gym such as this. I've pretty much been a member since the first weeks of its opening and can't see going any place else...uh, it's five minutes from my house. Duh! LOL. But really...it's a far cry for working out at other gyms that look and smell worse than the locker rooms and gyms I visited in high school. Not to mention that they try and keep the machines up and running. My only thing is that, other than Summer Camps, there aren't a whole lot of activities for children, other than the movies at the pool. It's a great place to work out, none-the-less. read more

We just joined this club about two weeks ago. And it's safe to say, we love it. We got our kiddos memberships too and they are enjoying it as well! All of the trainers and class coaches are amazing and super personable. The lockers rooms are really nice and make me feel quite fancy, lol. There's so much equipment and I've never had to stand around and wait for something, there's always one of something available. We love the life cafe! Right now you can by an insulated cup and get free refills or tea or cold brew and it's a great deal! We love to sit out by the outdoor "resort style" pool. Also, Bernabe Castro is a great account manager and made us feel so welcome and we signed up on the spot! read more

have been a Life Time Fitness (LT) at Lake Houston for years. I pay for a regular membership, Pilates classes - ~$205/month. I have tried for years to get the LT app to work on my phone - 3 long calls with LT support (who referred me to the club), Lake Houston support (who referred me to LT support), and personally install / deinstall / install the app multiple times. I recently was charged $100/month because I could not book via the app that LIFE TIME SUPPORT COULD NOT MAKE WORK. The when I talked with the club about it the bottom line was 'too bad'. Enough is enough!!! After looking around, I have been a fool to stay as long as I have. Other clubs have monthly fees of $10, $22, etc. Not $82. LIFE TIME IS UP TO 8 TIMES AS EXPENSIVE. If you you all the facilities it is worth it - outdoor/indoor pools, tennis courts, basketball courts, rock climbing wall, 30+ classes, cycling studios, etc. If you do not use all the other facilities - WHY ARE YOU PAYING FOR THEM??? My research showed that I could have the same experience at 20% of the price. I then had $180/month left for specialty training of my choice OR I just saved the money - $2,160 saved in one year!!! Why have I been so blinded???? If you are a member - LOOK AROUND. Look at what you use, NOT EVERYTHING - just what you use. You will be happy and save lots of money. Michael P. read more

I really love going to this gym, but recently I feel not as valued as a returning costumer. We joined again last week bc of the virus and we asked if we can join back to our old rate. They said no and there were no specials. Then my sister in law mentions she gets emails about returning and getting the same old rate back. We never got any of these emails for any incentives to go back and when we inquired about possibly getting our old rate back, we have get to hear back from them. I feel like the sales manager took advantage of our eagerness to come back so he didn't offer us any incentives, which make sense, but shady. read more

If you're a gym geek, freak, or rookie, there's something for everyone at Lifetime Fitness. I had previously read Yelp reviews about the place; although the amenities sounded tempting and interesting, I figured the membership was out of my budget, so in the past, I didn't bother to check it out, but my recent issues with another franchise gym provoked me to check Life time out and see what I am missing. Quite frankly, a WHOLE LOT! Once I filled out the online form for a free trial run of the place, I received a call and an email to setup an appointment to visit. No time like the present, verified my appointment, drove out the same day. When I pulled up, I was awestruck by the size of the building It does remind you of a spa with an interior that I would describe as sleek and chic. Quite frankly, once you're there, you probably don't want to leave as if you were enjoying a visit to the spa! You wouldn't know it was a gym if you walked in with your eyes closed! At other gyms, you KNOW it's a gym (which I affectionally call gross yucky musk) soon as you walk in the door. I had to wonder, "How in the WORLD have I been able to breathe through my nose and exhale from my mouth all these years in a g.y.m. and worked out?" because my visit to Life time really opened my eyes to a brand new world of fitness. From the various group classes available seven days a week (morning and evening) to the numerous WORKING cardio machines for one's usage, Life time caters to clientele of all ages. It even has a rock climbing wall, two basketball courts, several pools and Jacuzzis inside (as well as an outside pool area complete with slides), with the addition of saunas and steam rooms in the pool area as well as the locker room. Simply put, you have to see it to believe it! Just reading about it DOES NOT give Lifetime justice for its innovation. It is truly a one of a kind gym--complete with complimentary towels to sweat as much as you heart desires. And don't worry about working out and not looking good when you come out because the spacious showers and salon services can make you look and feel like a million bucks after working your body out the max. They even have a café to satisfy your appetite if so desired. Once more, the training approaches are quite diverse to meet the needs and preferences of the client. Most gyms only offer personal training, which may be great for those who like one on one attention, but honestly, some people work better with others. Life time offers small group training as well with groups of 10. Clever concept, but most importantly, effective. Whether clients were being trained singularly, with one other person, or in a small group, the trainers are really passionate about their job and the clients reap the benefits of their passion. I've never seen so many people with bulging muscles, flat abs, and so much stamina in my life! A little intimidating at first, but then it becomes motivational and encouraging. Honestly, I could have stayed a this gym all day because it's not only nicely designed, but provides so many activities and equipment to sculpt your body into shape. To say I enjoyed my visits to Life time would be an understatement--I fell in love with it! If it wasn't for the anticipated hour long commute to the gym from work, I would have joined this gym, but I do not have that kind of patience anymore. However, if you're fortunate enough to live and/ or work in the area, Life time is the best gym to join--hands down! It's worth the investment for yourself and your family if you have one-- to enjoy a lifetime of fitness and fun. read more

Me and my partner have been members at this gym for over a year now and I feel it is time to give a fair review highlighting my likes and dislikes of this facility. Pros: -The lifetime spa and cafe are awesome and the staff in these areas are extremely professional friendly and good at their jobs. I am a VIP member at the salon and get my hair done by Jenna regularly(she is amazing). -The facility itself is wonderful. They have a large areas, with lots of equipment, sauna/steam room/hot tubs and several pool areas. All equipment is maintained and new. Cons: -Several encounters with the female trainers and sales/service members at the gym have been LESS than professional. There seems to be a serious attitude problem with these certain employees, I would personally suggest an orientation on professionalism and proper gym etiquette (I would assume a trainer would already know this but clearly not at this facility). -The gym is usually quite crowded and during peak hours trainers will claim large sections of the gym with multiple major machines (that several people frequently use as part of their core workout) for one singular person for hours at a time. -Equipment wise, we sure could use some more sturdy foam rollers. -Locker rooms could use more frequent cleanings. - I have tried in the past to politely raise my concerns about an unprofessional or rude employee and have repeatedly been told that there is a 24 hour fitness down the street as their general response/ remedy to concerns raised. **I'm sure corporate does not approve of this customer retention tactic** I won't list the names of trainers or employees on a public forum, as it is not professional regardless of how rude they may have been. The gym is great, organized well and clean. My issue is with the staff, I feel the dress policy for employees needs to be readdressed. Front desk, member management teams look as they going to club. Completely inappropriate for gym. I employees in just the plain black polo shirts I feel are more approachable, someone constantly adjusting an outfit that should not be worn. We all come in workout gear, why is not the same for "Front Girls" and membership staff. I am member and this my view, to do not recommend any of friends here or ever will. The employees created an environment that does not provide adequate customer service; the customer service has declined during the last three years. You enter the gym to an angry faced representative who acts like I am bothering her. The worst one is Holly. I spoke with the manager named Bailey Simpson and the way she didn't care was all the interaction I needed to make my decision. How can any business have a manager who lacks the necessary characteristics? She is rude, non-empathetic, and does not care about the members. I decided to cancel because there was to many kids around using the machines, I am talking about 10 years or under, running around makes feel that you were in the day care with playing do exercises. plus when I did my cancellation still they charge me with the full month (it's was okay because it was in the contract) but it was incredible that still they changed me with another month. and still they got mad because at front desk. expect for one representative that said that wasn't right they over charged. but still they over charged me. be careful when you cancel. save your cancellation receipt that proves the day was canceled. my mistake was that I lost it and I was no able to prove it. read more

Gym is local and has all the amenities, memberships for a family of 4 is over $200 p.m. Staff are not very friendly and it seems they are more interested in the money than anything else. I have $100 stolen out of my locker on 2 separate occasions, I would suggest to leave your valuables in your car. Hands down the best gym i have ever been to my entire life!!! I came here in hopes to find a gym that had everything i was looking for, and i have to say i hit the jackpot! This place is not just a gym. It's a health facility. Anything you could quite imagine that goes along with fitness they have it. Lifetime Cafe, Lifetime Spa, yoga, Pilates, group classes, personal training, and everything in between! The deal breaker for me was yoga. I was tired of going to other gyms, and them not offering a wide range of yoga classes. Before i signed up, that was one of my questions, and concerns. I'm happy to report that not only do they offer A LOT of different yoga classes, but they also have a designated yoga room! I can't even begin to explain how excited i am for that. Hands down the best gym in the area. The pool is outstanding and while it's always busy, you never really notice because there's enough space. The Life Cafe is a great place not only for the post workout smoothie but for an actual meal as well. I've been a member since they built this location and my only gripe is that it is overdue to get a refresh on the equipment. Cardio equipment has come a long way in the last decade and I'd love to be able to plug my iPhone into the treadmill or elliptical like I can at most hotels... unfortunately all the equipment here is the same as it was on day one. read more

I joined this gym in October and have been ok with the level of service, not great but not horrible. However, this has been the final straw for me. When I joined they referred me to a guy I'm not sure of his name, Mike maybe, he has an office the third from the top, and he made me feel like I was joining a gym where the people were friendly and ready and able to help. Everyone was so nice when I joined and I feel like I was greeted with smoky mirrors. After joining no one was as friendly as before, the willingness to get help from employees - good luck. Customer service, especially at the front desk is non-existent. And it always seems as though they are rushed. No to top everything off, the guests have started stealing! I got my $50 hydro flask water bottle stolen within hours of leaving it in the pool/locker room area. And none of the staff seemed to care. This is the end of the road for me with this gym. Highly recommend lifetime. My sisters and I came in to take the tour with Doc Ward. We loved it but not so much the price. A few weeks later Doc contacted me with a special they were running which made the choice of joining much easier. After a few weeks we had complications using our lifetime points (points earned for signing up plus points from the sign up special Doc had recommended) but after the manager on duty was informed the problem was quickly resolved and while talking with the manager Doc heard what was going on and came in to make sure we were taken care of. They maintain the facility very well. They are constantly cleaning locker rooms and the fitness area. I've never had to wait for any machine, even in peak times. They have enough of the most popular equipment that you don't need to wait. The trainers are great. I lost over 50 pounds in the first year of membership. read more

Tried calling them and they said I have to come in to the facility to cancel. I MOVED about 45 min to an Hour from the nearest location & unable to come into location to cancel. The phone operator didn't have anything else to say but bye. Also they will still charge you no matter what. Be aware of this. Have a great day. read more

First of all lots of people think this gym is expensive and it is. But...the value for the money is worth every penny especially for families. The outdoor pool as well as the daycare is amazing if you have kids and I am very high standards. They also offer free classes for kids and at least for the summer, the 150 bucks we pay for a family membership is absolutely a deal.
