If you're thinking of joining the lifetime fitness in Cherry Creek and you are a senior or Wearing black skin, plz Reconsider!! I was a member of the Sporting Club which turned into the Cherry Creek Athletic Club ( CCAC) since Apr.1979. I had been the only black female swimmer there for 47 years; well liked ! We were like a family and it was our home away from home! From the moment that Lifetime bought the club in 2019, it was obvious that we seniors Were No longer Welcomed there! They were Catering to a different demographic ; the young, the hip and the heavily tatooed! The manager there walked around the club, her nose in the air....daring any of us ' old people' to ask her a question or make a suggestion! We the seniors, the lifeblood of the previous club had become insignificant! At least three of the older members were suspended for some slight behaviour like talking too loud in the pool! Some of our friends gave up and quit, some died but I was one of the hold outs!!!! I retired 20 years ago and every year I would take a leave from CCAC to spend the winter in the Carrib. ( No Problem). I took such a leave from winter of '24 and to my distress and disbelief, when I returned from my sanctioned leave last June 1st, I was told in no uncertain terms that my membership had been cancelled!!! They said I had to start over As a New member and had to pay an add.$125. The Ass. Manager kindly tried to fix it to No Avail!! I relented and brought in a check for the extra $125. and the front desk clerk, Aaron refused to take it saying rudely....' We don't take checks!' I started crying and I said to him.....' Why am I being treated like this after 47 years?' and I proceeded to walk past him to go to the pool. He tried to block me and in a loud voice said....' I can Stop You from coming in here today!!!!!' I have Never in my life been So Humiliated because there were people milling around in the lobby! Its all on video! I reported him, after I cried for an hour in the pool. He is Still there! I quit the club this year;I cant, in good conscience go back there! I miss my friends there but I have never experienced Racism in my 78 years and not about to condone it! read more

The facility and the people that run it are, in a single word, STATE OF THE ART. Traveled from out of state this weekend and entire front desk staff (and all others) truly made me and my girlfriend (who is not even a member) a part of their own family. Facilities are top notch - 8 squat racks, 2 levels of space, full sized basketball court, sauna, steam, hot tub, massage chairs. As good as it gets. read more

Yikes! I was told by 2 locals that this was a nice Life Time Fitness. I'm not sure what their barometer of what nice means when they say nice but they were waaaay off. We came here on Saturday AM and when we pulled up the exterior seemed like we were going into a physicians group type offices not a gym. It seemed like it was a make shift gym in a building where multiple tenants used to occupy offices. The Mens locker room was piece mealed as it was part of the Spa. The locker room must have had 6-7 rooms or compartments of lockers clumped into the locker room. The basketball court is in the middle of gym which is weird. Old and outdated facility. I only have it 2 stars because of the staff. The 24 hour fitness around the corner is nicer than this for less than 1/4 of the price. To add insult to injury, it is more expensive than the other Lifetime Fitness locations. Even though I live around the corner from this property, I ended up joining the Centennial location 20 minutes away. It is a superb facility and cheaper! The former Cherry Creek athletic club was bought by Life Time. The club has undergone a lot of redecorating and have added many new fitness machines but mostly ownership had existing equipment recovered The word is out that the cost of membership is going up substantially. It was already an expensive fitness Club so who knows where this is going. Many longtime members have left due to an anticipated dues increase. It already had great amenities and excellent fitness equipment. It still has three swimming pools, a basketball court and wonderful classes. One of the best, if not the best fitness club in Denver. It's very hard to believe that Life Time would have a gym like this in Cherry Creek. It looks like they took the cheap way of coming to Cherry Creek by taking over the old Athletic Club. Clearly doing very little in renovations. Especially when I have been to their other newer sites that are beautiful with high end equipment. BENEFITS: Small community, It has all the weights & machines, basketball court, racquetball court, pools, a sauna (Currently under construction.) I get why the reviews are a bunch of outrage as this lifetime was previously the CC Athletic Club but as a new member it has been a good experience so far. Yes it is on the pricier side but honestly you pay for the community and access. This is not a dirty 24 hour fitness where you have to worry about things being broken or personals being stolen. I think it's worth the value and the fact that it is month to month if you don't like it cancel simple as that. There are plenty of gyms at a fraction of the cost but they honestly but it's nothing like lifetime. read more

This review is only about the outdoor lap pool. It is always disgustingly dirty. There is sand and leaves at the bottom and old band-aids and tissue floating around the water. They literally go months without cleaning it. I've complained several times to several people and they just tell me that no one really cares about keeping the pool clean. Two of my swimming buddies complained to the manager and she just told them that maybe this club isn't for them and they should consider going somewhere else. WOW what arrogance. read more

This is not a gym it's a health club. It works with the mind , body and soul, it has wonderful open people both staff and members.

I checked out this gym, for someone who has been training for as long as I have - I have had memberships at so many gyms all over the state. Although the facility has some amazing amenities - the energy in here is horrible. Barely any natural lighting, the air flow is stuffy - it honestly felt like a prison. I would rather drive to the Parker or Centennial location; for a better price, better service, better energy, and genuine customer service. (Front desk was super nice this isn't anything against them). Just not a gym I would invest into. read more

This Lifetime has taken over CC Athletic Club, and while the major renovations haven't been implemented yet, it still offers a strong value for those who are looking for a gym that has all the weights, machines, and deadlift platforms you can ask for coupled with a basketball court, racquetball court, pools, saunas, and studios including yoga and cycling. Even there personal trainers, shout-out to Alani, are more than certified, well-taught, and equipped to help with what your looking for. The place has it problems, like deflated, crappy basketballs, slippery courts, people who refuse to wear a mask, and people who like to be nude in the locker rooms and create a commotion. Yet, the biggest problem is it's price. $200 monthly for a gym that has no where the prestige of other Lifetimes, which are 10x more beautiful, is outrageous because that price is more costly than other Lifetimes. I am positive change will come soon, but with how busy this location has gotten, it might not be for another year. read more

Warning! Think twice about going to LifeTime Fitness in Glendale, their parking lot is outright dangerous. My wife got her car brutally smashed in and her purse and other valuables taken in the middle of the day. This is where the story should have ended, but the GM knows that the parking lot is dangerous and has a lot of break ins but has chosen to do nothing. Their corporate headquarters does not care about safety, only the almighty dollar. Choose another of the many wonderful gyms around, not LifeTime. read more

I've only had good experiences at this gym. Staff has gone out of their way.. The only downside I see, is the layout is a bit funky. The outdoor hot tub is fantastic, I occasionally have the Jets stop working, and will not be repaired on the weekends. But these above complaints are minor in the whole realm of things. read more

Love this gym! Offers everything you are looking for. The price point is the only reason I took off a star as it also gets very crowded.

I think lifetime definitely has its value but with this location I wouldn't call it a "diamond" club. It's awkwardly laid out, and lacks the "premium feeling". This lifetime is dusty and old. They're rude and understaffed. I've had multiple occasions where the front desk is not welcoming at all and rude. I live downtown and make the drive all the way to Parker lifetime because it is actually a nice location, always has their life cafe open (its only open until 3 at cherry creek and they always seem to be on "break" when I try to get food) plus the facilities are nice and cleaned and the equipment is in better shape. This place even has a odd smell in the weights and machines area. Definitely needs some serious upgrades. I'll stick to the other locations read more

I have been a member of this club for more that 20 years. Under the Lifetime transformation of the club, staff and classes, it is the best it has ever been. Everyone is so friendly and positive. The classes and coaches are AWESOME. There is something for everyone at every level of fitness. In fact our teenage daughter has many friends at the club. So been here a month, to the person complaining about paying a month in advance to leave, well they clearly tell you that when signing up. To the guy with the swim suit in the lockers... that's false too. Now there are some frustrating things and yes it's 200 a month, like not enough beginner yoga classes and no one to vent about it too. But overall the trainers and instructors are really there to help. And the palates ladies are Awesome! So what it's worth it's cheaper than DAC more expensive than CAC and price reflects it read more

I've been a member of the club previously known as Cherry Creek Athletic Club, now Life Time, for 20 years. I'm appalled at a recent policy change that requires swim attire in the locker room spa. I've never belonged to a private club with that requirement and find it very unusual. If it's about hygiene, than they should clean the scum line off the tile of both the spa and indoor swimming pool as a first step. I've been able to roll with the other changes but am now researching other options. read more

As a former member of a few lifetimes across the nation, this club is awful. The weight room is insanely small and doesn't even have half the equipment most diamond clubs have. They will need to do a BIG rehab to get even close to as nice as most diamond clubs. It's honestly a shame:( such a great location. One yoga class Saturday, 1 yoga class Sunday. The weekends are where people need yoga and relaxation. You have to sign up a week ahead of time, while there are also 11 people on the waiting list at the Glendale location. Why aren't they adding yoga teachers? !!! Biggest sham gym! They have a facility and they are not using it to their best ability. Try going into the dry sauna, it's freezing cold until you go tell them and then they apologize for having to trip the electrical system to turn it back on. I don't have three hours to figure out my day around their lack of attention to important details. Join a gym that has ridiculous hours for group classes and not enough-you're giving your money away. Don't you dare get locked into a Pilates contract. No classes available, no room available but they still sign you on. It appears to be a desperate money grab. Weight facility is nice, every employee is wonderful -their business model sucks!!!! Don't leave the yoga room empty for one class a day, stream from another gym do some thing and fix it. read more

Canceled my membership back in November of 2021. Noticed that they have still been billing me for the past 6 months. At $91.25 per month that $547.50 they owed me, they looked at my account and could see I have never used the facility for the past 6 months. Best they could do was to credit me one month. Club puts it profit motives over customer satisfaction. Outdoor adult swimming pool is reserved for kids swim lessons from 4:45-5:45 M-TH. If you're a working adult who wants to swim after work, you're out of luck. Kids could be using the more appropriately sized indoor pool. I will be dropping my membership. read more

We have been members for 25 years to the previous Cherry Creek Athletic Club before Lifetime took over. After the change of ownership only my husband remained as a member. However, when we were in Boca he temporarily added me as a member too. We were told we have to let the club know a month prior when the additional member needs to be taken out and we exactly did so. That was way back in December of 2021. Then we returned to Denver and realized that we were still being charged the extra additional member's fee. As of now, this have been going on for 3 months. Instead of $160 we have been charged $251, on-going basis. I tried to talk to Chris at the Denver Cherry Creek Club, let alone getting any help, he was not even able to properly spell our names. I left a message to the GM, Dwayne, we will see when there will be a call back. In any case, I am extremely disappointed because the unethical charging the customers is obvious. These kinds of practices eventually lead to class action lawsuits. Lots of people may not follow their credit card charges properly but eventually, if this is an ongoing practice, someone will make sure it is out in the open. I am the kind of person who will not let go. Right now, Lifetime owes us $90x3=$270+tax. Anyone who is a member better check your credit card statements carefully, who knows you may be over charged for various reasons by Lifetime Fitness. read more

Recently I took a tour of this location. I was surprised to find out that they are asking $220 a month more then our current membership at their Dry Creek location. The Cherry Creek Location is out dated, under going renovations, does not have a children's pool area and is in a much older run down building. Despite being hesitant I still sat down with one of their sales reps who was remarkably pushy to sign me up for $0 that day but unable to get me basic pricing for swim lessons (despite my email follow up to ask again, she didn't respond). She proceeded to tell me the price difference was driven by location. read more

I am genuinely surprised by the negative reviews here and feel compelled to offer another opinion. My family and I just joined a month ago, and we love it. The facilities are excellent, there are always plenty of towels, it's clean and the pool is great. Kid watch is fantastic and my kids love going there. They also love the kids swimming classes. All the staff are amazing. There are so many great classes (Pilates, yoga, barre not to mention spin, etc). For the price, I think it's excellent and we are so happy we found it. read more
