The staff is super helpful and take the time to actually get to know you and understand what your path/needs look like. Some of the classes weren't offered at this campus so I had to go to Stillwater. I never got the chance to take the Big Orange Bus (BOB) but it's a great thing that's available for those that need to make the commute but don't want to drive. I hear it's very comfy and even has wi-fi so you can be productive while you're on it. I noticed a huge difference between the classes I took in Stillwater and those in Tulsa. Mostly that the experience is completely different, even in graduate school. At the Tulsa campus, most classmates are what we'd consider "non-traditional" students, who are full-time professionals, have family responsibilities, and might be taking classes part-time. I think that's why most professors don't assign "busy-work" but actual valuable learning opportunities. Furthermore, I enjoyed class discussions that connect real-life situations with the academic theory at hand. Loved my experience on this campus! Highly recommended.

I have always had great experiences with all of them. Unfortunately, I have been to this location at least 4 times with my daughter, and every time we had to go get it redone by a professional. I have another chance a couple of times due to knowing they are students and that's the chance you take. Today my daughter went for a haircut and I'm not sure what in the world happened she asked for a trim and for the worst botched job I will most likely have to cut her hair all the way to above her shoulders just to make it even. She is not thrilled about it. At this point, I must say it is definitely in the teachings and not enough guidance or overlooked by the student's instructors. It's very unfortunate.

My perspective: Emily was our doula for our (breech) home birth. I also had 3 massages with her…read moreprior to labor. I have no words to explain how wonderful Emily was or how much she improved our birth experience. She was always available prior to the birth by phone or text and our in person meetings with her felt relaxed and added to my excitement. On the day of our baby's birth she kept in touch and then came over as soon as I said maybe I wanted her. Prior to and during labor her massage skills were amazing and her voice through contractions kept me calm. She even gave my husband a massage to calm him a bit. Our home birth was everything we hoped it could be and I credit a lot of that to Emily. It is hard for me to find the right words to exactly describe how amazing and gifted Emily is so I will share the email I wrote to Emily when my husband and I were still glowing from the experience. I hope she won't mind! "Emily, Chris and I are still on a high from how absolutely incredible and perfect we view Dahlia's birth. We feel so lucky that things went exactly as we envisioned. That seems to be a rare outcome these days and we are truly blessed. Seeing your doula skills in action made me realize that some people truly do have a calling. I saw an article today titled something like, reasons you don't need a doula and I just laughed. There is no way I could have had the birth experience I had without you. I think we need to discuss you canceling this silly move to OK." When we met for my postpartum visit I talked to Emily about flying her up to NYC for subsequent births. I think it says a lot that with all of the talented doulas in NYC, I don't want to mess with success and really need Emily by my side. NYC has suffered a great loss with Emily's move to OK. My husband's input: Emily just gets pregnant women and knew exactly what my wife needed during labor probably better than my wife knew - counter pressure, massage and encouragement. She even rubbed my neck when the stress was getting to me and made it easier for me to get in a nap. I don't even want to think what the experience would have been like without Emily. That's why we need her back for the next baby.

Watch out for the run around from Financial Aid, Bursar's Office, and Housing Department on campus. All three offices will attempt to place incorrect charges on accounts to try to solicit money. When calling to get in contact with admin at these offices they regularly give the run around and say that there is "nothing they can do to help" or "they do not have access/communication with that office on campus." Both responses are inexcusable from a supposed Top University and there should be training for administrators on how to help students instead of trying to "deal" with them. The cost of attendance is a complete rip off, and it reflects in on-campus food, student diversity, school spirit, school resources, and campus life. I will never advocate attendance until serious admin and diversity changes are made and when the cost of attendance reflects what the university ACTUALLY has to offer. Do not take this review lightly, I don't review often so hopefully this stops others from repeating mistakes, I would give zero stars if I could. The University of Tulsa is more of a business than a university, sadly they are not the only school that functions and prioritizes in this manner.
