I love this store since day one. They sell awesome things for the home, as well. They carry dog food my dog lives very affordable

I'm a huge fan of Lidl, and this one did not disappoint. It's even bigger than the Greensboro location I frequent. It felt open and airy--aisles on aisles of possibilities. They had a fantastic selection of fun snacks, fresh veggies, wine, and, of course, the danger aisles filled with knick-knacks and random stuff you suddenly must own. I really want to like Lidl but they are doing their best to stop that. They have ever-changing return policies, depending on who is the cashier at the time. Some will let you return an item without a receipt, some not only exchange it but give you the price in cash (the 200% "Lidl guarantee"), and others will require both the original item + receipt. It's so frustrating, especially since 1-2 times a month something we buy from their produce section is wilted, rotten, or sours quickly. They are close to my house and offer a wide selection of organic produce, but suck at customer service. read more

For some reason every time I come here I encounter a cashier who is like a robot without any customer service skills. Today this young lady found it more important to check her messages on the phone then to say hello or make any eye contact for that matter. She did mumble something like have a good day through her mask and went right back to her phone. A very unpleasant experience once again. I really like Lidl. Gallon of milk was $1.25, and a gallon of chocolate milk is the same price. A block of cream cheese is only 65 cents. Right now, canned green beans and corn are 19 cents a piece. Wide aisles and a clean store. You won't see some of your favorite name brands, but you will find some great prices. read more

I've never been rich enough to be a food snob. I've tried to be as frugal as possible when the situation warrants it. Lidl! Where have you been all my life? Sams Club was packed crazy and we decided to try this place. Saw it advertised on tv so what the heck, what did we have to lose? Man, am I glad we tried them. Their fresh rolls and bakery area are worth a look. We bought some hard rolls that were as good as any bakery rolls we've ever had. Their fresh produce section shows quality products at great prices. We picked up some avocados for $0.69 each! Delicious! From individually wrapped grass-fed beef steaks to soup, this place can save to some serious money. College budgets can feast on $0.25 Mac and cheese! We also love the flavored sparkling waters in some very cool flavors including blackberry cucumber! Lidl has become a regular stop now on our grocery shopping tour. A remainder, bring your own boxes and bags to save even more. If you haven't tried Lidl, you need to. I'm not happy with the customer service today, I wanted to buy a product from a sale rack, the cashier told me to go back to the rack to find the price. I'm not going to do the store's job, she wasn't friendly, apologetic, or likeable. I love the staff here usually because it's transactional, and competent. I went to Lidl while travelling through Winston Salem. We do not have one built just yet in Greensboro but there is one in works. The new Lidl building is about 4 times the size as a renovated Aldi plus has more product offering. They offer everything from back to school items (bookbags, pencil sets, etc), some clothing, housewares, small amt of home and garden tools, Beer, wine, (a must) . It has a in-house bakery with affordable prices which was a nice surprise. They have great prices on fine european chocolate bars for few bucks, non-organic milk for $1.25/ gallon, etc. There is a small charge if you have to buy grocery bags so Do not forget to bring your reusable bags. Ps just like Aldi - you have to bag your own groceries but it is not a big deal- you are saving $$ over Harris Teeter or Lowes Foods. Also, you do not need a quarter to get a grocery cart like Aldi as well. If you have a Lidl close to you, give a try. I think the prices are similar to Aldi. You will save some $$ as compared with a large grocery store. read more

My favorite new Grocery store! The selection and prices are awesome here, and I love how it is geared towards organic produce and meats. They sell grass fed organic beef, pork, chicken, lamb, etc. The seafood is very good brands and always seems freshly frozen and not fishy like alot of frozen seafood I get at other stores. This is one of my favorite grocery stores because of their high quality products at very low prices. Any of that goodwill is gone, however, when you get to the checkout line. There is consistently a long 5 person deep line and only one checkout open. I don't know why they installed 6+ checkout lines if there is only one open at any time. If your operating mentality is to keep prices and overhead low, why don't you have self-checkout lanes? The wait here is beyond frustrating especially when I know it could be an incredible experience. read more

The customer service is terrible. I left an item at the register and didn't realize until I got home. I try to go back and get it and I'm told I have to call an 800 customer service number and they'll call the store. Even though I paid for it, there is still a chance I either won't get my money back or I won't get my item that has been paid for. Only one register is open all day! And there is never any one that works at the store is visible sight. It's unorganized and it's quite frustrating! read more

I tried giving Lidl another chance but they just keep disappointing me. every time I have gone in to buy products on sale, they charge me the non-sale price. Like today, salad dressing was supposed to be 99 cents but rang up $1.48. You can't tell what price you're being charged by the retail/discount methodology of their printout receipt. Won't be going back again. Too much of a hassle to try and get a refund. read more

The groceries and prices are good but customer service is lacking in a big way. You're lucky if there's more than one register open and the majority of cashiers don't say one word to you at the register, not one. I guess you get what you pay for. read more

Decent selection. Good place to pick up basics. Always plenty of parking. Easy to get in and out of.
