Pre-pandemic this was my go-to supermarket. The location is convenient, the parking lot is fairly easy to get in and out of, they have tasty hot-to-go pizza and fried chicken, and a nice selection of alcoholic beverages. During the pandemic I pretty much stopped shopping at grocery stores and got most of my items from Target or meal kit subscriptions. However, I have slowly started returning to the stores and this store always impresses me. It's clean, offers a wide variety, and is almost always fully stocked. A nice store with good selection. However, the constant begging from the homeless at entry and exits are very off-putting. Why does mgmt allow it? if YOU want to help these folks, why don't YOU go out there and donate some food instead of subjecting your customers to it?? I have only ever enjoyed this particular store. It has the friendliest staff, and is always well kept. As an aside, I love their pizza, which you can buy by the slice. Then they have a little Starbucks eating area where you can grab a water cup (or a latte, whichever hits the mood) and enjoy a lunch. They have a fabulous array of cheeses around the pizza stand too, if you want to try a cheese from another part of the world. Like a lot of grocery stores, make sure you enroll in their savings program, because their prices are high without that. It's free to do and you just scan a barcode at checkout. read more

Convenient. 2 issues: self check-out almost always overcharges. Check every item as it scans and again at the end to ensure discounts were received. Second, beware of stuffed chicken breasts at the meat counter. Upon splitting in half, they were FULL of bacon fat. Clear fat pieces and no bacon. Will not buy again. read more

Great customer service! I was asked several times if I needed help. The rotisserie chicken had lots of meat, was juicy and delicious.

I've seen a lot of mixed review on here about this Harris Teeter but I'm happy to report only great experiences. This Harris Teeter is a little smaller than some but they have a great selection of food and large selection of wine and beer. Harris Tetter also has a great policy that if you unsatisfied with the food or it has gone bad when you bought it you can return it and they give you your money back and then some more because they want customers to know that they care about their products. I also think they have a good layout, personally I think all supermarkets are organized so differently it's hard to comment about layout specifics. This property is slightly cooler than your typical HT. Aside from the standard fare of produce, deli, bakery and household goods there is a restaurant inside. Not just a hot-bar but a real restaurant with a half dozen tables so you can dine in or order take-out from the check-out... go figure. Like all HTs the aisles are clear and wide and well stocked with a variety of choices in every grocery category. Staff was courteous and mostly helpful as expected. Check-out was a breeze and they reminded me to use my saver card. read more

I only come to this location because I can literally through a rock and hit the store it's so close to my house. Half the time I walk here instead of drive because the parking lot is a disaster waiting to happen. So many pedestrians and cars and entrances....I've even witnessed an accident here in the parking lot. There is a lot going on here with several stores and restaurants all in one place , so I assume that's the reason for chaos. One of the managers is super nice so I appreciate that, and they have a big selection of ice cream. Something is always on sale so it's the reason I go. Not every Harris Teeter is the same which can be frustrating. This location doesn't have the noodles I like and a brand of soda I enjoyed is no longer carried here. I only come here if I have too, like I said before. Sometimes it worth the drive to the location literally 1 mile away. Never understood why there are two locations so close. Anyways, some people love this place. I've had mixed interactions with the cashiers and the one time I did the order online they messed up order super bad and I wasn't aware of it until I got home. Had to go back in person to sort it out, which clearly the defeated the whole point of ordering online. Gas points are a plus for shopping here but that's about it read more

I really tried to be a regular at Harris Teeter, but still ended up at Publix. There fresh soups are delicious, and they definitely run some great weekly specials. Overall the meat and produce seemed to be a bit expense, and I didn't have great success with the produce. Their beer selection was impressive as they sell a lot of locally brewed beer in the area, a great way to support those local businesses. I will pop in here for a thing to do, but unfortunately will not be buying my weekly groceries. read more

One of the best Harris Teeter stores in the Triad. It is a bit smaller than average, and the layout can be a bit confusing as well. The best part about this location is that It has a mini pizza station where you can order a full size pizza customized to your liking. You can also get individual slices as well. I do not know of any other location that has something like that. The parking here tends to be atrocious, especially during peak times after 5pm. Other than that, it is a solid Teeter! read more

I really like this Harris Teeter. It is HUGE and seriously so much better than the Harris Teeter on Stratford. Personally, I love my Food Lion, but it doesn't have everything because it's Food Lion. I don't think it's fair to really compare this store to Food Lions and Lowes because they are just a different class of grocery store ya know?! Well, this Harris Teeter has EVERYTHING. It even has a Thai Restaurant and a Pizza Station in it! Really?! Say What?! It's super big and super fun to go to and that's why I drive an extra 10 minutes to get here. (That and Mario's Pizza is right there!) The aisles are not double stacked where you have to walk in between two aisles just to find stuff, and they are appropriately named. I hate it when you have to decode what the aisle header says like "Mexican Food" and that's where the capers are and not where the salsa is?! SERIOUSLY?! I like this Harris Teeter a lot! read more

Second to the Robinhood 24/7 harris teeter. This HT is made better by having board's head deli, Thai Swatdee and an espresso section. Average varieties and it does have good sushi here as well. Average cleanliness. Store clerks are friendly. A huge plus that in the same shopping center there is a chinese takeout, cvs and panera! read more

If you are picky or like to get specific things/brands, you will have to pay the price! Otherwise, this is a good place for weekly grocery shopping as a bargain hunter. Some of the sales makes me wonder if it was marked correctly (buy two taco seasonings, get THREE free, really??). Seeing a variety of meats on sale is also nice. read more

I have always like coming to the Harris Teeter on Cloverdale. It is one of the bigger Harris Teeter in the area. I love going for the hot fresh food they offer as it makes shopping easy especially with kids. As far as the comments about the prices, yes they can be a little more then other stores. However the double coupon and specials are what have me coming back! My family and I eat dinner in the store. My favorite is the hot pizza bar is a hit with everyone. I HATE the fact that they put tomato sauce on the bbq chicken pizza. Kind of gross to have tomato sauce then bbq sauce. Bbq chicken pizza is my favorite type of pizza but I won't get it at harris teeter because of how it's made. I have spoken to staff about it and they agree but say it is how they have to make it. If you call in an order you can have it with out tomato sauce. But the pizza by the slice will have it...yuck! I love the pepperoni pizza or the works. The crust is the best part it is a little doughy which I love. Today was like no other day the pizza was great. They made to order sandwiches are great too. Today I gave Harris teeter a 3 because of the sushi bar. My wife wanted spicy tuna with brown rice but none were made. In the past the staff have been overly helpful and welcoming to customize an order. In fact there is a huge sign across the case were you can watch them work that says we are happy to customize any order. And to the side is another sign with the hours 9am to 7pm. It also says they will custom make orders during business hours. So we asked and...he was cleaning up for the day. Hours of operation 9 to 7, it was a little after 6. Amazing! So they are happy to customize your order only if they feel like it and aren't rushing to leave for the day. Apparently making the customer happy and making a sale was not a priority. It's a shame as the sushi sold in Harris Teeter stores is some of the best in town. read more

Although this Harris Teeter is clean, has a speedy checkout, and even a small student discount, I'm a bit bothered by its high prices! Unless something is on "sale," it feels almost as expensive as the Whole Foods just up Miller St! Yikes! I primarily shop at Costco and at the Saturday Farmer's Market so I guess my perception of price is askew, but I also go to Whole Foods about once a week and when anything approaches Whole Foods price, I start to worry about its value. It's very interesting that there's both a Thai Restaurant and a pizza place inside this particular store, and while I have never tried either, I've only heard good things. Perhaps I'd rate it higher if I did try these mini-eateries, but based on value, I can only give Harris Teeter 3-stars. read more

Not very big in size by Harris Teeter standards but prime opportunity for people watching! Produce department is great with many organic options. Deli folks are great and always offer a tasting before you purchase. Pharmacy and non-food options are convenient too. I rarely have to wait in line to check out and the cashiers are neighborly too. This review is specific to the on-line order program. I have ordered on line and picked up orders for 2 years. The quality and accuracy of the service has diminished at the Cloverdale location to the point that I can not use it. Orders are never complete and this location is missing the promised pick up time. Produce is bruised occasionally or on the verge of being over ripe. This has led to return trips, wasted time and money. I also place on line orders for the Mooresville location without any of the aforementioned issues. This is a training and leadership issue at Cloverdale. read more

I bought 2 dozen clams from the seafood dept. today. When I got home 7 of them were dead and unusable. I called and the customer service woman was very nice and she told me to come in and she would refund me. When I got there they not only refunded me but they doubled the refund and gave me a brand new bag of clams (12 clams). So I technically got 29 clams for $6. I have been living near this store for over a year and it seems that's 9/10 every time I shop here there are ridiculous wait times for check out. It is clear that they do not have enough staff on hand, the staff are overworked, and poorly trained. I have complained multiple times to management, they have demonstrated that they do not care about their customers, I will not be back. read more

After waiting for the "you scan" attendant, Winston, for several minutes because he was not available, to check my ID to purchase a 4 pack of beer, he quickly took my license, without saying a word, and brought it to his manager. Perhaps he was not seeing clearly, but once the manager arrived, I was sure the issue would be resolved, I'd pay and we would be on our way. She took my license and held it up, as if to compare me to the photo and said she could not take it. To my disbelief, she then begun to tell me that the ID was slightly worn out (NC licenses are valid for 8 years, mine is 7 years old) and that it was not valid. I eluded for her to call the police. She quickly reverted to my wife, and asked if she would be paying for the items - not just the beer. She then proclaimed that my wife would have to purchase the beer for me to leave with it (which by the way is also illegal so her point of not selling me the beer is moot). My wife was forced to use her money to buy our basket of products. I then grabbed the "paid for beer" and left (which again, if she wouldn't accept my ID then I shouldn't have been allowed to hold the beer either). The manager made something an issue that never should have been one. I am incredible frustrated that just because I look young, I was not provided my legal right to purchase. I am 28 year old, married, and responsible. Her actions will force me to consider shopping at Publix. read more

This is MY Harris Teeter. Aside from Whole Foods, this is my favorite grocery store in all of Winston Salem. I would drive by ten Food Lions to go to this store. The customer service is great. Their return policy is excellent. The meat, deli, and produce departments in particular have fantastic customer service.
