I can't believe I have missed this place for so long! I actually heard about this place from a good friend of mine who eats here 3-4 times a week lol. I decided to try it yesterday after work as I was starving. The place is basically a chicken shack within a gas station, but it's totally legit food! They have all their items displayed as they have see through glass covering them. They are mainly known for their fried chicken and potato wedges as that they refer to as "taters." The chicken is perfectly seasoned and they offer all pieces of the chicken at various prices. He taters are HUGE! You get 6 if then whenever you get a "snack meal" but trust me that's plenty! You also get a roll as well with your snack. They have various "snack" meals and I went with the 2 thighs and a leg snack. The problem was they were out of kegs and breasts, they just had thighs. This told me that their chicken was pretty popular, and if you want a broad selection you better get there early when they start serving lunch! The taters were hot and very filling, I also got some packets of hot sauce to top of my meal to add a little kick! They have a variety of other items from corn dogs to buffalo wings as well. Another note, they serve breakfast as well! I was even told they have bologna sandwiches for breakfast there. I'll have to give an update review about that the next time I come by! Come here, you won't regre

    3 Piece Chicken Dinner

On the way to a friend's house, Jerry saw a sign for the 1 Stop #6. The extensive chicken options had us in a quandary for a few minutes (The Eagle, Snack 2PC, Dinner 3PC, Just Chicken, Tenders, Livers, Wings, The Wife Saver, The Whole Thing). The friendly person working the counter that Saturday told us not to worry, pick whatever items we wanted, and he could ring it up. We went with an order of Hot Wings and a 3-piece chicken meal. (I confess. The Sides of Corndog and Eggroll intrigued me and are at the top of my list for our next visit.) Usually Jerry and I take notes on each item as we eat while everything is fresh in our minds. We want to capture the details so we can give readers a full accounting. I said I had "chicken fingers" and didn't want to get food on my phone, so I couldn't type in the notes. The truth was, the chicken was so good; I didn't want to stop eating until every bite was gone. All the chicken was pull apart tender and juicy. The crispy skin on the fried chicken was nicely salted. The seasoned large potato wedges in the dinner were fluffy and tender on the inside. Soft rolls and packs of Texas Pete hot sauce completed our combo. The wings were tossed in a Texas Pete Wing Sauce with sliced jalapenos. Best chicken anywhere. Perfect "grab dinner on the way home", or just a snack on the way to your destination. The taters are amazing too.

I've had the fried chicken here and it is quite good, much like the Krispy Krunchy brand. But today I just wanted a hot dog and a cheeseburger. The burger is cooked to order so it took 10 minutes or so to get my order. The hot dog, with mustard, chili, and onion was very nice, not quite at the level of the very best in the area, but for $2.69 this is a real value, most in the area are between $3 and 4$! The cheeseburger was also nice, and at $6.90 it is not a real value, especially when compared with the Wakeburger which has double the cheese and meat for $1 more - didn't see this until later! I remember the burgers were good and they definitely were. Based on just the shape of the Patty. I could tell that they were not hand padded but that's okay. They were seasoned perfectly and cooked perfectly. I definitely would recommend this place, the people are super nice and the food is really good. Or at least the burgers are because that's the only thing I've had.

I explained to the girl what happened on Friday she just said not ready come inside and they would get it ready for me. That was non sense because it was ready on Friday. Two last times my Dr. Had called in some medicine like at 3:00. and I kept checking and it was always in progress. From 3 in the afternoon until 9 at night i finally got in touch with the pharmacy and was told it was just then coming out. Wanted to know if I was coming to pick it up and I said no not at 9:00 at night because I'm 81 yr old So after this time I'm not going to use this Walgreens anymore with that kind of service This was at the Walgreens on Cloverdale and Miller in Winston Salem

They forget without customers there isn't a job and people have options, i.e. there are other locations and other pharmacies like CVS which is not even a mile away. I've decided today to switch my prescriptions over to CVS, I'm tired of dealing with rude snippy disrespectful clerks, who pick and choose who they are going to be polite to. If I have to get anything from Walgreens it will not be at this location!

This is a convenience store on the northern edge of Kernersville, with a small grill, and four small tables for seating. The place is busy and noisy, people in and our constantly, with a buzzer sounding each time the door opens. The sandwiches we tried here were very, very good - a Hot Dog with mustard, chili & onions, a loaded single Cheeseburger, and a Philly Cheese Steak. We got 2 of these as combos, and the fries are very good, though not salted nearly enough. Our drinks were fountain Diet Pepsi, and these were just awful, the mixture is definitely off here. The Hot Dog was loaded with a tasty, meaty chili and a decent wiener. The Burger was well sized, nice flavor, good outside crust coming off the grill. The Cheese Steak was exceptional, filled with beef, cheese, onions, peppers, and mushrooms, in a nice bun. We'd order all 3 again, and probably will. Jose was great - friendly and helpful. We chose to eat in, and he brought everything to the table with a big smile. We probably will get our order to go next time - the place was hot and noisy, not making for a comfortable meal, even a quick one. But if you are looking for a quick bite on the run in Kernersville, you can find great choices here.

We started with a Philly Chicken Cheesesteak. The crusty roll could not contain the caramelized onions, charred chicken, tender mushrooms, sautéed peppers, and melted cheese. The well balanced condiments on the Hot Dog all the way complimented the meaty dog and still emerged on their own right (bold onions & yellow mustard, sweet slaw, and a seasoned zingy chili). Every single slice of potato in our order of Homemade Chips was golden brown and crisp. The sweet Onion Rings had a wonderful crunch, and their potato wedges are on my radar for next time. When we saw the Double Bacon Cheeseburger, our jaws dropped which was actually a good thing because I don't think this gargantuan burger would have fit into our mouths otherwise. So much bacon! I'm not complaining. That was a happy chant Jerry and I kept saying over and over as we ate our lunch. The burgers were moist and juicy on the inside with a good char on the outside from the flat top grill. Topped with American cheese and stacked on a sesame seed bun, we enjoyed ours with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayonnaise. The next time you're on the road, set a course for The Grill and fill 'er up.
