Have wanted to stop for a long time and finally was in area and did. Very cool European feel and fun to browse the items you can't find elsewhere. Clean, spacious aisles. We picked up a good amount of items. Found some prices to be good but not all. Also some packages were smaller portions than accustomed to which makes price comparison important. Decent gluten-free selection but not expansive. We'll likely stop back periodically when we're in the are with the understanding we can only get select items off our weekly shopping list, and will need to stop at our normal store to find many items. I love Lidl. Their FRESH portion pack vacuum packed salmon is so good. Both Chilean and Norwegian same great quality Fruits and vegetables are good and they carry a nice variety. Store is clean and so easy to maneuver. I save time food shopping. Every Wednesday there's an interesting changeover of merchandise in the middle square of the store. It's an adventure every time. I was there about two weeks ago and the only good thing was the guy at the check out. I bought a frozen shrimp ring and it was terrible. The shrimp was rubbery and it's clear it had thawed and was frozen again. The non-food "goods" in the center of the store is mostly knock off crap. The dry goods are all strange brands produced outside of the USA. I didn't purchase any frozen boxed brands or dairy items but looked at the prices which were similar to a regular grocery store. Beautiful building, great parking but wasted on the store contents. No need for me to go back. read more

Lidl, the competition to Aldi, only they are a bigger store with more to offer. The in-store bakery is a real asset. I our croissants there. They are the same quality and better shape than Wegman's, yet less than half the price of that store. Salmon, shrimp, cheeses, eggs, produce, frozen foods and of course the German chocolate are all wonderful. I've never seen issues of dating or freshness here. Also their premade foods are so handy and delicious. Lidl being a German company like Aldi, offers EU quality foods and selection, and you can enjoy some foods you might not normally see in other stores. The salmon crostini comes to mind. They also used to have this wonderful Bolognese lasagna but it's been gone for months now. Floral and plant department deserves mention, nice offerings there. Also the Deals aisles in store center. Power tools that are inexpensive and very functional, portable greenhouse, benches, some clothing and much more. Check it out. It's fun to walk through and wander around. read more

I liked that it felt like shopping at a European super market and the imported products selection was pretty decent. The prices now 2021,for food aren't really that great anymore . Definitely not worth it if you like high quality . You could do much better in upscale supermarkets like Wegmans or Whole Foods read more

I had given a 4 star review back in May of 2020 but since then knocking it down a star. I used to go weekly but now bi weekly. Here is why in the last year in a half I have become less of a shopper here * the savings are not there like they used to be. I understand prices are through the roof everywhere but I used to save on most everything. Now I try to buy only things that are in the flyer or rewards items. So, the shopping here has become a 1st stop before going to a regular store. Shoprite for me. * Meat quality has gone down. The ground meat display usually is 5 shades of red to brown and I have had to complain about pork coolers smelling. Just look over well what you are getting. Occasionally I will get something * store has been disorganized. Many prices missing off of items. Freezer sections in disarray. Some freezer units not working properly and items covered in ice for weeks * watch expiration dates and inspect items well. Recently brought home presliced cheese that had mold and milk with an expiration date 2 days after purchase But, with all said, the employees are very nice and there are savings to be made if you shop smart. Produce sales are great. Just stick to the specials. I believe if you buy $80 in specials it would exceed $120 in regular market. This stop is still worth it to me. For not being lucky enough to have a Trader Joe's in the Lehigh Valley, Lidl is the next best thing to it. I don't know why anyone would go to ALDI across the street, if you could go to Lidl. Decent array of organic and specialty items. Wish there was more gluten free, but they did have some items. If you're a very brand-centric shopper, you might not understand this place because it's a German company with its own store brand, but everything is very good and very well-priced. I hope it does well! Also, bring your own reusable shopping bags! Just like in Europe and more environmentally conscious US cities, you can purchase bags (but they aren't given out). read more

The bakery is wonderful, they have pretzels rolls and hazelnut croissants. They have a pretty good size produce section and a wide variety of organic products. I really liked it, you could do all your shopping there. read more

This store is awesome! They have name brand items, their own brand, and unknown brands. I've liked everything of theirs so far. The prices cannot be beat. The bakery is also very good. They also have home goods and decor. Bring your own bag to avoid the very minute charge for bags. They have an app with coupons. read more
