I ran into this Lidl because I needed one thing. As I approached I realized I could check on my app to make sure they had it and it said out of stock. I was already in the parking lot so I decided to go in and check anyway. I love the fact their stores have fresh bakeries! The smell of fresh bread or croissants baking always makes me want to grab a dozen. I didn't because I only take them when they're fresh off the rack so I searched the store for a snack and didn't find anything. I did find my rosemary plant I was looking for so I was happy I decided stop although they said they were sold out. It doesn't appear to be in the best of shape but I feel like with a little extra tlc, it will be good to go. Wish me luck lol I think I just had good timing with when I visited because the store wasn't very full and there was no one in check out so my check out was extremely quick. This shop was just incredible ... we went in to buy few basic stuff - like water , snacks etc but were amazed looking at all other stuff . They had sale on some products and it was worth the price . We got a hammock for 30$ which is a steal . Also got many other home stuff .. also saw vegetables were really cheap. Tomato was less than a dollar which was good . Lots of parking outside . Service could be better but this shop is worth a 5 star ... thought of giving 4 stars but gave it a 5 !! Lidl is my go-to grocery store. Produce is always fresh, a lot of times more so than Whole Foods's, and the prices are so reasonable. I also get all my meat and frozen seafood here. If you shopped here before and did not get the customer service you hoped for, this has changed. The new manager has great emphasis on customer service, and it shows. Last time I was here (January 2025), all the staff I encountered were helpful, courteous, professional, and friendly. While the floors are very outdated (still a leftover from the previous store Shoppers), the store is very clean and bright. And in the non-food bargain sections, I always find something I did not know I needed. :-) From gardening supplies, to clothing, to toys and cookware, to name just a few. Some foods are seasonal, so, if you like them year-round, stock up on them. That includes all the Germany Christmas and Easter candy! Such a great variety of all the wonderful Christmas foods that I cannot find anywhere else, such as Lebkuchen and Stollen. As a German, I am very grateful to have all the varieties available to me. I have been shopping at Lidl for over 2 years now. I truely love this store. It provides all the friendlyness and ambiance of a real grocery store! Not some glorified boutique. Its staff is friendly, sincere and go out of thier way to be helpful always with a smile. These people do not change weekly or monthly. You get a true sense of knowing the staff who help you. Also , i never wait on a long checkout line. The minute a line is more than 5 people, another checkout station is immediately opened. On to the next topic. Important to all of us especially in these times, price. You can not find a lower price any where else. I do check! And this is a crazy praise for a grocery store, but even the Lidl customers are super friendly. But this stores praise gets even beter. Kithen ware essentials, are all here. Example- The best garlic grate and smasher, i have ever bought and used. And clothes and shoes and jeans and hardware and machanics tools and,and,and. Time for me to stop. I have been meaning to write this review for some time now. I guess today was the day. First time visiting Annapolis, so I hadn't been into a Lidl supermarket before, but I needed a few supplies and could find everything easily and readily. The shelves are well stocked and clean and nice wide aisles. The prices are good, too. It's easy checking out. You pack your own bag (like an Aldi) but the paying part is easy and you're in and out very quickly and efficiently. I'd definitely shop here again. read more

I have traveled world wide and have shopped Lidl in different countries, and this is the worst Lidl that I have ever been in. poorly managed , employees cannot answer questions , and never a customer service person around. I have even made attempts to order items in advance so that I dint have to go to the store every day to find that they are out of product. they,is not have an inventory cipontrol , partucu in the bakery department. i was having a gathering and wanted to order the muktigrain croissants , but the couldn't take an order and they never bake enough to fulfill the customers needs. I have gone to the store multiple Tim's in one day only to keave empty handed it's clear that the demand is there, but the orders cannot be fulfilled. What a disadter!! read more

I'd never shopped at Lidl before coming here, but I enjoy shopping here. The attendants are friendly for the most part, and normally I can find almost everything I need. I normally skip the midsections of random stuff, but sometimes they have great deals on those items as well. I normally come for produce and cheaper organic ones. I enjoy browsing and bringing friends; I'm glad there are still semi-compact grocery chains operating. One of the hidden gems of the store is their shampoo bar! It's eco-friendly and lasts forever. It's also a steal compared to most shampoo bars on the market (and it even has quality ingredients)! Who'd have thought? read more

It's not bad at all. I did like the produce section. Plentiful in good shape large strawberries, apples and they even stocked cilantro and healthy looking jalapeños. I was bummed, No poblanos. Prices are pretty good on the bakery items like chocolate chip muffins and custard pies. They have good frozen seafoods and some novelty items like gluten free seafood noodles, mussels in sauce and Sanderson farm chicken (I've only seen that brand in the South). Some prices were awesome some were average. Everything was clearly labeled with a price. Good Goya section. I picked up some Reese's brand cereal in bunny shapes. A bonus: you buy paper bags NO PLASTIC bags!!!! Cons: For some reason even though the store is huge it feels cramped. People were bumping into me left and right. Awful. Lots of traffic jams in these long aisles that you cannot escape. Upon exiting with my cart I was literally stuck between the door and masses of carts piled up all the way to the exit door! How crazy is that? Two gentleman had to help force push my cart through so we could pass! That's got to be a fire and a safety hazard. Not good. I will be back but please please hire more cart people to maintain some semblance of order. read more

Beautiful new store! Easy parking lot, it's in a very central location close to other shopping centers. The rows are so wide It made It super easy to shop without feeling crowded. There was such a great variety of fresh fruit and vegetables! Everything looked so good, and at the right price! The dry goods were also in good selection as well as a stock of home goods. I got an awesome car cover for my doggie, and even a sewing machine carrier roller bag! Loved the selection. Using the app gave us a $5 discount to and we got $10 for next time! So awesome!! We will definitely be back again. read more

This is the second Lidl my husband and I have shot that. We recently discovered the store and tried their Glen Burnie location a few weeks ago. Having that to compare to I can say without a doubt that this location is far better. Despite being an alternative type of grocery store, this location has the look and feel of a more main stream grocery store. The Glenbernie location seemed a little darker and more confusing of layout. This location is bright and spacious and the isles are wide enough to navigate through this store easily. I was very pleased with their fresh fruit and produce, and felt that their freezer section Offered a great variety. I noticed a lot more name brands here than I thought I would find. The staff was courteous and friendly and very helpful. Parking is plentiful and very easy. The location is central to other shopping in the area and makes it very convenient. This kind of store is definitely not meant to for fill all of your normal grocery shopping needs. However, the great prices and variety they do offer makes it a very good option to trying out new things and supplementing your standards. read more

I love the bakery here! I also like the variety of rotating items (clothes, gardening, home, etc) for affordable prices. Produce tends to be good. My only gripe is I'm not a fan of the layout. I usually end up walking the whole store several times. Also, the parking lot is deceiving. If you park near the entrance, when you go to leave, you'll be relatively far from your car. There's only one way in, and there's only one way out. I've never been to another Lidl, so my guess is all of them have weird over expansive layouts. They also don't have a lot of normal stuff I tend to be looking for. This seems to be the norm now, families going to multiple stores to get the most bang for their buck. Overall, this place is good for what it is. I wish Aldi was in Annapolis, would give Lidl some healthy competition. OH and the flow of check out is weird. Someone is usually trying to pay while I'm packing up, they tend to reach over me or go around me. More often than not i feel uncomfortable at check out -- like the employee(s) are staring at me to pack up. Dude, this is your system. Don't be mad at me! read more

My first visit to Lidl. I was optimistic based upon their ads that I could find both food items and some housewares/cleaning supplies. But my first impression was that it is very uneven. The bakery stand inside the door was tempting, but all the cinnamon buns and other goodies are already packaged, mostly in large packages, so I could not buy just 2 or 4 items. The frozen seafood had some good items, like Gulf shrimp instead of farm raised shrimp from the Far East. The meats looked ok. I bought a package of deli ham, which was a touch cheaper than at another store. The cheese section did not have the brands or items I like. It is the layout that I found really bizarre. There are bins of clothes right next to the yogurt. A hose reel is right next to the chicken. The houseware and hardware items are all in the middle, in open bins, in a very haphazard way. I looked for cleaning products and bathroom items. Again, brands were limited. When I was ready to go, I headed up front. There were at least 8 people in line and only one lane open. The poor lone cashier paged for help twice before help arrived. The young man who checked me out was very pleasant. You bag your own stuff and they have paper bags. So, my conclusions are that they do in fact have lower prices on some things. But I will never be able to find all of the items on my regular shopping list there. They need to segregate hardware from groceries so people can find things. And they need to be sure the checkout lines are staffed. Your always bumping into other customers because there's no flow. They also only have one entrance and one exit (not because of COVID). I always parked on the Forest Drive side. If you do that now, when you exit, you have to walk around the building to get to your car. From what I've seen, they will carry just 1 name brand of an item then generic options for the rest of that item. Example, they have Kraft blue box Mac and cheese, just the original, just Kraft currently priced at .98. They have 2 generic others, one for .49 and another for .33. Chocolate milk you can only buy a gallon, nothing smaller. They have their own ice cream. Good luck finding the flavors because they're not marked or maybe I didn't look hard enough. Meat, pre-packaged and priced by the pound. Problem is you find a steak you like you don't no the price because it's not individually labeled. The grapes on display were rotting, every package. Frozen dinner selection is a joke! Not even going there. In my opinion, Lidi works, just not here. So many other options close by. They don't have anything to draw in the customers. .33 cent Mac and cheese will only go so far. I'm apparently not alone. Few customers had shopping carts, mostly empty too. When I left yesterday a lady exited with me empty handed. I said to her "I miss my Shoppers". She replied me too nothing here. read more

So I need to update my review as I have come several times when going to kohls to grab something quick. Here's what you should grab: GHEE. Five bucks here vs 12 elsewhere. Milos sweet tea; freshly baked Rosemary bread; meats, cheeses, Spices, sauces like Thai curry & other sundries. Wild planet tuna (rated one the best by americas test kitchen) is reasonable priced here. The store is well stocked and maintained. Again, it may not be for everyone as a one stop, but rather a supplement for some good deals. read more

Stay away nothing good about this place. Started out bad right from the get go when there were no carts upon entering the store. I asked the manager where are the carts and he said there are some out in the parking lot. He claimed they were down to about 15 carts for the whole store and haven't gotten any response from HQ. Anyway we went to far end of parking lot and found a cart and we started shopping. It was a total disappointment. Produce section greeted us with the worst looking vegetables I have ever seen in a grocery store. Nothing looked fresh. If it was supposed to be green it wasn't. Corn on the cob ears were brown in color, not green. The rest of the shelves in the store had very little product on them with a ton of empty spots. Very little meat other then chicken and it looked bad to say the least. Store was dirty. I had been here when store first opened and it was a beautiful store but not anymore. No customers in this store, I can see why. The future is not good for this store. read more

Go to this store for a glimpse of what it must have been like to shop in Soviet Russia back in the 1970's. The shelves are bare. The lines are long. There is nothing in that store to make the merchandise look attractive. To add insult to injury, they won't even bag your purchases. That honor is left for the customers to do. The aisles are long and narrow. The lighting is poor. There is nothing attractive in this store. There is no incentive to come back. I wouldn't shop there for all the tea in China! The only positive I can find in my experience at Lidl's is the helpful store clerk who was able to direct me to the only gluten-free bread that they had to offer in the entire store. I would advise anyone on a gluten-free diet to go elsewhere- Safeway, Graul's or Trader Joe's. Run, don't walk away from this dump. read more

I was very disappointed when I first walked in the store. The prices are outrageous for starters , the meat looks very questionable and they don't have a very big selection of anything and they were out of a lot of things and empty shelves.. Not to mention that we're in a pandemic and there was a lot of people in the store you could barely move around or you would bump into someone else. I went to the Lidl's in Annapolis for the first time today. I was not impressed at all. It seemed pretty low end to me. I was surprised to see some snotty people shopping there though. It had a big warehouse feel to it. It seemed like they were selling a lot of canned foods like they have at the dollar store, but for a little more money. I only bought two items, but I had to wait in a long line because they didn't have any self checkouts. The cashier who waited on me had an attitude. I asked for a bag, and the cashier told me that I would have to pay for one. Are you kidding me? I'd pass on this one unless you have no other options. Not good! I'd much rather shop at Giant or Fresh Market. I even liked Shopper's better...Too bad they left. read more

The customer service at this store is REALLY REALLY BAD! Manager's are letting the young kids that work for them play in the store. Give your change folded up. Still a good store that's serving my needs. Not all their products are great, but most are so you need to make your own judgement for each item. I have noticed that, while lines are sometimes a bit long, the staff puts in very reasonable effort and energy to giving priority to customer service and opening new registers when needed. All people here have been pleasant and professional with me. read more

I think it is sad that lidl has milk for sale in the Bowie Maryland store for $1.57 and they come to Annapolis and raise the price of milk to $3.49 to take advantage of the poor people in Annapolis. read more

Out of all the supermarkets that could have moved here it had to be this poor excuse for a food market. It's unfortunate and just a waste of space I don't know if I'm in a harbor freight or a supermarket when I went there the one and only time. Beautiful new store in Annapolis. Great produce. Great prices. Lots of additional deals when you have the store app. Selections are limited but a good place to pick up all the basics for best prices in market. Also they have freshly baked bread every morning so shop early! read more
