Had dinner in this area today and we were looking for some fresh fruit. Saw this market and decided why not pop in and see what they have. They have A TON of Chinese snacks, drinks, ingredients, and more here. It's actually a pretty good sized market. Unassumingly big. They even have a frozen foods section all the way in the back. They've got a pretty good variety of different ramens too. I mean, if I lived in Florence, this would be the market I'd shop at. It has everything. Very fair prices, as well. Water is €1 here, €4 for a pack of 4. Much better than getting overpriced water from the restaurants. Also most of their drinks are about €1-2 each. Nothing here seemed overpriced and I LOVE THAT. Would totally come back here again and highly recommend this place if you're looking for some Asian snacks/ingredients/beverages... or even just plain water.

Basically, if you're looking for water, beer, prepackaged, sliced meat and sundry items it's a quick in and out and also was quite convenient to the apartment. I was staying in service was fine and I'm glad I brought my own bags as Italy has adopted the same thing we do in California that has charge for bags which I don't mind Aside from its convenience, it's not really anything special. It's basically like any other store in its genre.

If this was at the beginning of the…read morepanic setting COVID pandemic or you were visiting an economically sanctioned Russian city it would explain the empty shelves and lack of any selection beyond cookies, soft drinks and some fruit. The store is a maze of connected small areas with mostly picked over shelves in a seemingly desirable high traffic city center. I counted two employees who may as well be playing cards. Maybe they're going out of business or the tourist season is in such an upswing that they can't keep the shelves stocked. Maybe it's a Carrefour express store because when you see the shelves are bare you'll be out real quick.

Ramen were cheaper than most other nearby supermarkets at $0.70 (vs at least $1 elsewhere). I was giddy when I saw Oreo flavors that are exclusive to China/HK ($1.50). In addition to snacks, they had noodles, drinks and a frozen section. The cashier (maybe owner?) was nice and friendly.

The owner/operator was very friendly and talked about the dishes and process, he helped us select a Chianti wine that was reasonably priced. This was a magnificent find and we appreciated finding him. We highly recommend for a quick dinner.
