Crispy crust on bread with soft interior, fresh meat and cheese - superb
    Rodney W.

Visited Panini Toscani recently with the family. The sandwiches were large, so I didn't request one. Instead, my wife and daughter each requested a sandwich and we split them. The sandwiches were delicious. They offer different types of bread, but the Italian bread with the crispy crust and soft interior is the one I like the most. The ingredients are second to none. The meats, the bread, and the toppings/sauces were all epic. The sandwiches are simple, delicious, and filling. It's a common theme to request one of these sandwiches around lunch time and there are cafes everywhere serving them. So the challenge becomes selecting a cafe from the sea of options. I'm glad we selected Panini Toscani because the sandwiches were awesome. Not all cafes offer the crispy Italian bread - some only offer focaccia bread, which I'm not a huge fan of. I highly recommend Panini Toscani.

I loved this place! It was located a thirty second walk near my hotel close to the Duomo. It's a small spot with a huge reputation. The staff were all great. Most spoke English and Italian, some just Italian. The meats are sliced right in front of you. One of the employees let us sample the assortment of meats that were going into the panini. Never an issue here. Lots of tables outside overlooking the beautiful views and culture of the city. Can't wait to go back.

Food: My favorite panini! Been here multiple times and it never disappoints. They have a variety of breads and they are all amazing. They provide meat and cheese samples prior to you ordering, which is a big plus. You can definitely taste the quality of their meats and cheeses. You also have 3 options of sides to put in your panini, mainly veggies and/or spreads. Service: Kindest staff. Ambiance: They have mainly outside seating but they also have two tables inside. It's pretty small but it's in a great location!

Amazing experience starting with this awesome guy, who was patient while I tried to select my bread .

Delicious sandwiches! After a quick search I found this delightful little sandwich shop right behind the Duomo. From the minute we walking into the small shop the gentleman asked if it was our first time- which I immediately said, "Yes!" He began giving us small samples of the meats and a piece of cheese. We then hand selected our bread of choose, meat, cheese and toppings. The sandwiches were toasted and then they called our names. We grabbed one of the tables, there are only 5 or so, but people are gracious to eat and offer their table. The owners greet you and help you find a table. Absolutely the most amazing sandwich we have ever had!

The place is very interesting. While the food was good, the options were interesting. Yes, there were lots of good options to choose, the shop is not very family-friendly in the sense of food options, though I do recommend coming here. The service was good, with only 3/4 employees, but they got the job done. Now, the shop is small, and the line starts at the back of the room and starts in the back room, and ends in the front. It is very tight/small in there, with not lots of space. I did though enjoy my food and experience, but it was not what I expected.

Delicious paninis! It's a small order at the counter place. The staff is very friendly and gives great recommendations. They have you try all of their meat and cheese options before you build your own panini. It was so fun trying all of their different meats and cheeses. Everything was so fresh, it was hard to choose. You choose your bread, meat, cheese, pesto, and any additional toppings. I added tomato and arugula. The paninis were big, we probably could have just split one. We took our order to go but there is an outdoor seating option on the street. We were there on a Saturday so it was pretty busy. It's a lively area! I definitely recommend stopping!

My wife and I explored Florence and stumbled across this gem. The city is known for their paninis. We had to get one! This place did not disappoint. We got the panini with prosciutto, aged pecorino (phenomenal), peppers and the amazing pesto. We shared one and still didn't finish it. When we ordered the staff was very helpful and offered recommendations and gave samples to ensure you would leave satisfied. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

What a great little place to grab a panini. The sandwich was so very good and the service was amazing. There was no where left to sit so the older gentleman (think it was the owner), grabbed a chair and two crates for us. One crate for my husband to sit on as one to use as a table.

Incredible sandwiches, adorable vibe, one of the best meals I've eaten anywhere in Italy. This place absolutely blows Antico Vinaio out of the water. Ingredients were fresh, the employees were super friendly, and the Porchetta is not to be missed. Super convenient after visiting the Duomo

This is my fourth meal at a restaurant in Florence rated over 4.7 on Yelp, and the first one to smash it out of the park. Panini made fresh to order with 7 bread options, 4 cheeses, 3 meats, and several veggies, then toasted. I had the sbriciolona and pecorino stagionato on schiaccata with marinated eggplant, grilled peppers, and arugula. Mind blown. Un panino molto bellissimo! The owner went out of his way to be sure we had a place to sit on a busy afternoon. I would come back again and again.

Ciabatta, salami, cheese, grilled pepper and grilled zucchini. Perfection.

We stumbled across Pqnini Toscani our first day in Florence. It looked promising so we decided to grab a panini. Upon walking in, we were immediately greeted and the young guy working asked our language preference and then asked if we had ever been in before. Since we had not been in, he offered up a tasting of all the meats that they offered as well as all of the cheeses. He gave us suggestions on what worked best with each other and what bread and veggies he suggested pairing together. We ordered, paid and an older gentlemen had clean a table and was waiting for us to take a seat. Our sandwiches were quickly brought out and they were amazing. So fresh and full of flavor. We actually visited again during our stay. The location was super convenient and the food was amazing. The staff were all extremely helpful and polite as we took our time deciding on what we wanted to order. I'd recommend stopping by!

First food I ate after getting to Florence. All I can say was I knew this was the city that was going to satisfy my food need. Very friendly staff.. They were very helpful and allowed me to taste the deli meat and cheese before I ordered. I noticed there are lot of pannini place around here.. But man I can say this place was one of the best sandwich I've ever had.. Ciabatta Toscana bread is what I chose.. You pick the bread, meat, cheese, then up to 3 different veggies at the end.. So simple but yet so yummy and flavorful sandwich.. To me bread is very important part of sandwich.. You can have the most expensive fanciest meat but if bread sucks rest of the food sucks.. Bread was so light, crispy outside and light chewy inside.. Prosciutto was very flavorful and yummy. All that sandwich and it's only 7 euro.. Can't beat the price and quality of the sandwich. Can't wait to come back and try other style.

November 9, 2024 2:30PM…read more It does appear they have two stalls on the same street that you can order from. One side seemed to have more alcohol on display and the side I was on was more sandwich focused, but I'm pretty sure you can order the same things from both windows. Initially I was going to get the 21 - Fresh Sausage and Eggplant because I'm an eggplant lover... the lady at the counter was kind enough to let me know that the fresh sausage is actually rare, uncooked sausage and gave me a small piece to try. I was getting ready to get on a train that day and didn't want something that might not sit well with me, so I moved on to number 27 spicy salami and cream cheese. My partner got the number 1, ham, cream cheese and rocket salad. Both are very good sized and oh so delicious. The line moved quickly, so many options for decision paralysis. This is the place for schiacciate Florentine as recommended from friends who used to live here. Definitely would recommend to study up their menu before coming so it's easier to pick what you want. This is more of a stall and you grab and go, we stood around the sidewalk and inhaled our sandwiches. Watch out for the pigeons getting ready to take your crumbs too, you can see them on the ledge of the building getting ready to attack. A must visit for Florence.

I told the European couple that it wasn't fair that the server took our table to give to them and they just smiled and dismissed me. Racism at its finest. Their sandwich is not good. Actually the sandwich shop across the street I' Grone De Ghiotti is way better with service and sandwich taste. Sadly I don't think this post will change the attitude of the owner.

True to its name, Pino's Sandwiches offers an impressive variety of sandwiches. When my friends and I arrived, the line was out the door, which is usually a good sign, and it definitely was. Dedpite the crowd, we were seated and served within about twenty minutes. The service was excellent, and it was great to see the owner behind the counter making sandwiches alongside the staff. One fun touch for visiors from the U.S., the restaurant is decorated with several American college pennants, which adds a warm, familiar vibe in the middle of Italy.
