This was my first visit to Lickin' Good Donuts on 29. I ordered half a dozen donuts, but when I got home and checked my receipt, I noticed an unexpected charge for a custom donut. I'm not sure which item this refers to--perhaps the dry cinnamon roll? I wouldn't have minded the additional cost if it had been communicated upfront. Additionally, it seems I received one less donut than expected, considering the custom charge was a dollar. The donuts were okay. Cinnamon twist was good. Situations like this are frustrating and left me with a negative impression. read more

I have been looking for a place with good kolaches. This place NAILED IT. Bread to sausage (boudin) ratio was perfect. Be aware the boudin IS a bit peppery. In addition my sweetheart really likes the custard filled donuts and she said hers were the best she has had in a while. Courteous staff. Definitely going back. read more

I struggled with whether to rate 5 or 4 stars based on their hours of operation. It's a shame they close at 1 pm. I tried their boudin kolache and an apple fritter. They were both delicious and reasonably priced to boot! The store is small, very clean, with very friendly and helpful staff. I will definitely be back! If you like morning treats, this is a good spot. read more

The fresh fluffy tasty doughnuts are simply amazing. With an array of flavors they aim to please all. From glaze, chocolate, filled, cinnamon rolls they all are worthy of the five stars. This use (Mobile Hwy location) to be a great place to get fresh donuts/etc. A small business with great donuts but the last couple of times we've been there. It has been disappointing! Lemon Filled donuts had no filling and the Apple Fritters had no apples in it! The prices went up and the quality of products seem to be going down. Returned the empty donuts to the shop. No refund or extras, just replaced the two donuts that they messed up, that we should have gotten in the beginning! Poor customer service! Don't know if it's the management or what! But this place is going down Hill! Better get your act together or you will be closing soon! read more

Our favorite donuts! Fresh and delicious. We buy them each week for our church group, and get them personally as well. Competitive prices compared to chain donut shops, with the quality of gourmet, not mass produced. The owners are super friendly and do an excellent job. Haven't had anything I didn't like. Some of the notable mention include the blueberry cake, apple fritters, maple bacon, eclairs, kolaches, and breakfast sandwiches. But they are all delicious! These are the best donuts! They have kolaches too stuffed with local Conecuh sausage! Family owned and friendly staff... I'd recommend you get there earlier than 8am for no line no wait. Otherwise, I've seen lines out the door around 9am, especially on weekends. read more

Service is bad. I love when new businesses come to the area with baked goods and food however, I have been to this donut shop several times and been treated like my money isn't good enough. I met the owner the first time I went, he was very nice and pleasant. After that I keep getting bad service from two women, they are rude, they don't speak or acknowledge me when I walk in. Today I stood there for five minutes waiting for one of them to take my order. They were talking in a foreign language and one of them lol never acknowledging me. I won't be back and I'm more convinced that they don't want to serve me or people that look like me. I will take my dollar elsewhere. read more

The names speaks for itself. This place might be as good as Krispy Kreme, if not better! The prices of the donuts are a steal. (Cheaper than Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Donuts) I got the The old fashion donut, blueberry, and the stuff cream cheese donut. All three were great! Based on all of the Five Star reviews I wanted to try this place. I tried their cinnamon roll, glazed and a chocolate donuts. Prices were fair and the appearance of the shop and their baked items was excellent. The donuts were so lite that it tasted like I was eating a spoon full of sugar and the donut had little to no taste. The chocolate donut was actually a glazed donut with a lite coat of chocolate over the top. The cinnamon roll had a much better consistancy but was only average in taste. While I was disappointed, I will give it one more try for other items and hope to find what these five star reviews found, but sadly I am expect to be disappointed. read more

Why is it so difficult tho find a good donut shop? This place had no chocolate iced donuts. Even though the guy pointed to an anemic brown iced one . I know from experience it is just a pale imitation. So, we got an apple fritter. Bad move. Tasted of old oil . No apple pieces at all. read more
