I finally opted to give it a go before I headed to the airport ... and this doughnut was phenomenal. My doughnut was still warm, soft and freshly baked.... I mean, Dunkin' Donuts and Krispy Kreme has nothing on this local donut shop. It set up like any donut shop and they display a couple tables. In my group, we tried the apple fritter, the cinnamon roll, the glaze, and chocolate dip with Sprinkles. There was no disappointment. There was a young lady in the early morning who asked if we were visiting, and she treated us with the donut holes. I actually had the donut holes at my layover. A couple hours later and then donut holes were still very soft!! There are breakfast sandwiches available and coffee, but with the name, as Lickin' Good Donuts I was coming for the doughnuts. I wish I would've tried this my first day when I was in Mobile. I'd recommend giving it a try. The locals know about this spot, so be patient and expect to wait you will not be disappointed!!
