I got a sugar free caramel latte and it was wayyyyyy too much syrup and too sweet. Maybe someone messed up with the amount of pumps because it was so sweet, it was tough to finish. My husband got an Americano and said the plain coffee was pretty good so I ll let it slide. Price for a doughnut was a little high but they are not your typical Krispy crème flavors and it's a layered doughnut that is 2x the size of a regular doughnut you'd get at the store. Price of a latte was pushing $6+ for a small which is steep considering it wasn't super great. Music VERY loud. Not only was is packed but I couldn't hear my husband at the table because it was seriously so loud in there. PRO: Bathrooms were clean. Staff were nice. Restaurant was clean and updated/renovated. The line was out of the door! Thankfully there was a drive thru, however it moved at a snail pace. I didn't get to try the donuts because it's no way I was paying $40 for 1 dozen. Spent a little over $20 for a black coffee, matcha, 2 donuts and 2 minis. This was my first time and the line was out the door but it moves quick. Staff are friendly and able to assist you picking out a tasty treat. We got a French toast donut and a strawberry carnival which were very sweet and huge!! Eating one is just enough to fix your hunger. The mini we got was raspberry and coconut cream which are just smaller versions of the big donuts. These minis were 2 bites but were very good. The coffees and matcha hit the spot. This place is very busy and lively but it's a fun family friendly joint that has a lot of traffic. I previously left a review for Parlor Doughnuts, and honestly, it wasn't great. The doughnuts themselves were fantastic, but the staff at the time were less than stellar--pretty rude, to be blunt. After a couple of visits with the same experience, I decided I wasn't going back. Well... my BFF--also my wife and motorcycle-riding shadow, "Queenie"--wanted to stop and grab some doughnuts to take home. I was a hard "NO"... but she won, so we stopped. From the moment we walked in, it was a completely different experience. We were greeted with smiles and genuinely polite service. Naturally, being a bit skeptical, I figured, "Okay, service is better... maybe the food slipped." Not the case at all. If anything, the doughnuts tasted even better than before. We grabbed two boxes of minis and a dozen doughnuts--which, by the way, is no small task when you're packing them into motorcycle saddlebags--but we made it work, and we were glad we did. This review is simply to say: kudos to Parlor. Great job turning things around and making customers feel like they've stepped into a top-class place. I'll definitely be back. And if you stop in, feel free to tell them the biker "1/2 Time" or "Phatt Panda" sent you. My family stayed here over the past week, and we went to this place twice! It is located in a convenient spot, not too far away from the beach and in the city. The donuts are AMAZING! So soft, with a crispy outside. Every single one is a treat, so don't go into it expecting to eat more than one. Creative flavors, exceptional baking, and illustrious texture make these donuts to die for. The staff were extremely friendly. Cute little donut shop off one of the main roads in gulf shores. The cashier was helpful with us by explaining all the different donuts to us. These donuts are my new favorite! Oh my, what a great place. My wife and I were looking for a new place for our weekly Saturday breakfast outing. I found this place and thought since we were out of tourist season, it would not be busy.... WRONG!! And there is a reason. Great service, great atmosphere - the decor is awesome, and really good donuts - they are really CRONUTS. There are lots of selections, we chose the favorite, which is French Toast, also Sandy Beach (Cinnamon Roll) and Maple Bacon. If you read some of the reviews you will See people complain about the donuts being sweet, or too sweet..... These are donuts. Some also state they all tasted the same. Our experience could not have been further from this. While you might think French Toast and Cinnamon Roll would be similar, they were very different. We could really taste the "egginess" of the French toast, and the warmth of cinnamon on the Sandy Beach. The Maple flavor came through on the Maple Bacon, along with the saltiness and smokiness of the bacon. All three were really good. We ALSO ordered the Avocado Toast and the breakfast tacos with Chorizo. Both of these were solid as well. The Toast came with boiled egg on it and they use Tajin to add a salty and citrusy flavor. It was well seasoned. We enjoyed the tacos and it came with a good green salsa for topping. The chorizo was not as prominent as I prefer. If I order chorizo, I am wanting to really taste the chorizo!! Don't go here expecting Krispy Kreme prices. These are different in a lot of different ways. We also got our dog a treat as well. Omg! Big fluffy donuts, fried old fashion style and they have lost of options of flavors. I got the bourbon caramel, and the maple bacon. The first bit into the bourbon caramel I was melt with the donut in my mouth. Would go back again. Expect it to be pricey but way better than Krispy Kreme. read more
