Maybe the best donuts I have had and I am a donut Connoisseur. They say go to parlor donuts when you want donuts. Nope. You go to Daisy's.

These were pretty good donuts. Not really good, and definitely not great, but pretty good. Yep. They do however have some really fancy/trendy/cool toppings for the donuts. One night we went I was high as a rat, and I bought some of them. We got Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Fruity Pebbles, Reese's and a few others. They were just ok. The place is nice, it's has a modern look and feel to it, unlike the old hole in the wall places I'm used to. The counter service is good and the staff were as nice as can be. This donut shop is right next door to an ice cream place that is absolutely fantastic. If you go here, go there, for sure. We bought donuts and then and went and got ice cream, just to discover they were giving away the donuts we had just bought at the ice cream shop. So, go to SCA first, I would say. We were super excited to try this place and was the closest donut shop to where we were staying while on vacation. We bought a dozen and a half donuts, which were over $50. The sticker shock!! We were surprised that this place seemed so bare inside, but it made sense when they told us that they had only recently opened. For coffee, they had brewed coffee and that was it. My wife wanted an Americano, but they don't have an espresso machine (at the time of this review). We didn't order coffee, so I can't comment about its quality. There was a decent selection of gourmet-looking donuts (topped with Fruit Loops, along other creative combinations). My wife wanted Boston Creme, but the employee said they're still learning how to make certain donuts and haven't made that kind yet. We settled on 2 basic donuts: one glazed, the other chocolate glazed. My glazed donut was warm and good. My wife's chocolate glazed donut was fine too. I went to Daisy's craving some donut holes. Sadly they don't offer them. Good news is the donuts are good. I had the chocolate peanut, original glazed and Boston cream bullseye. They were very good and made a good donut hole replacement. Bad news is the price of these things. The total for 4 donuts and 2 regular size drinks was $32. That could be average for beach donuts but I surely wasn't expecting it. Stopped in on a Sunday morning to pick up donuts for our group at the condo. The employee was having a hard time managing the customers. The selection was very poor due to the employee stating that certain donuts were unavailable because they did not know how to make them. We settled on one dozen glazed and one dozen chocolate glazed. Total was over $60.00. Returned to the condo with our order and these are not donuts. The dough is horrible. Everyone took one bite and threw them away. Friendly staff. Clean. Normal selection (mostly yeast donuts). Prices are high. I know it's mainly a tourist area. But, over $3 for a donut when I pay $1.50 for both yeast and cake donuts at home that are larger. That's a hefty increase. There are alternatives nearby. read more

The selection of cereal topped was in abundance but to say they sell donuts they do not. They didn't have any "glazed" regular donuts. I get back to my kids and they eat one and say it is just plain donut and some were hard on bottom. Disappointing not to mention the price for 10+2 free was $36!!! Thought I was going to City Donuts where we visit every year on vacation, only to find out DAISY DONUTS was at that location now. Since I was already there we decide to give them a try. I asked how much a dozen and was told $19.99. So we picked out our 2 dozen, went to pay and was completely SHOCKED when they said $69!!! WHAT!!! After leaving frustrated and got home I wish I would have just left them sitting there on their counter. Don't waste you time or MONEY make to drive to CITY DONUTS!!
