So of course, we made our way to the little town of Castelmola, which is about 20min drive from Taormina center. To our surprise when we walked in, the entire bar is covered in phallic artwork, sculpture, furniture... you name it, it's on "theme." It's an old place with a fun idea, and people do seem to enjoy it. Now for the actual food and drink... it was ok. I had a mediocre aperol spritz, so/so calamari, and a couple average arancini. The servers were nice, the prices are reasonable, but I definitely wouldn't recommend this as a destination bar you had to see in Sicily.

Poor food: industrial mozzarella, no basil with the Caprese, only two meats, prosciutto and salami, available for the affetatti misti; dry, stale prosciutto with dark edges; frittata made with one egg; teeth-breakingly stale bread; bored, loud staff who at one stage seemed to be having a fight in the kitchen.
