My coworker and I visited this place while in town on business. I love the concept. It's an old house, looks like an old plantation house, turned into a restaurant/bar. When you drive up the front of the house has the big white columns and lots of windows. It definitely looks like a place that used to own slaves. I found a staircase while looking for the bathroom that was hidden and figured that was for the "help." The dining area is not very spacious, but it went along with the theme. Our table was super close to the others around it, you had no choice but to get to know your neighbors. I got a drink recommended by our server. It was so good, but I can't remember the name or her name. We had just eaten, so we didn't get food, but our neighbors seemed to be enjoying their food. The service was amazing here. Everyone was so gracious and kind. Everyone was dressed professionally and seemed to enjoy themselves. Our drinks came out super fast too. I explored the space a bit to find a restroom. That's when I saw that little staircase. The bathroom was cute and clean. The house looked a bit like a museum. I'd go back again to at least have a chance to try some food.

    The bar and a mocktail.

The food was good. The service is also good. The ambiance just seems a tad bit awkward. Maybe some music might assist there.?! The bartenders were awesome about making me non- alcohol sexy drinks.

Dine in the shade under one of Mississippi's most legendary Magnolia trees on the terrace.

A neighborhood gem. You may need to set your GPS to find this one, but you won't find a better hamburger in Jackson than the Simon Burger (named for owner Peter Sharp's Eagle Scout son.) The Fairview is both impressive and informal. Word of warning...don't try to eat the Simon Burger by yourself. Two people can usually handle it. Prices very reasonable for the superior atmosphere and great service. Highly recommend this local gem.

Beautiful ambiance. I love to come here after a long day at work or on the weekends! The drinks are named after Mississippi Authors. The food is amazing too!

This bar is located inside the historical Fairview Inn. The Fairview Inn is a historic southern mansion turned bed and breakfast. The Library Lounge is the first room to the left as soon as you walk in the front entrance of the hotel. The bar is small and intimate with shelves built into the wall with hundreds of books. Seating is very limited and even more limited at the small bar. There is additional seating outside under the gorgeous oak trees. The menu is pretty large for such a small place. They have a variety of beer, tap beer, wine, liquor, and specialty drinks. The prices are a little on the high side. This is a very romantic, great date spot.

Very cool place. Glad I stumbled upon it while trying to find a place to have drinks and dinner with a friend from work while we were in town. Service was great, and we never felt rushed. Great drink menu and wine selection. Food was excellent as well! We had the flatbread to start and I had the pasta as my entree, both were delicious. Would definitely stay at the Fairview if back in town.

They only serve a limited menu during happy hour which included fries, wings and shrimp. The place has hip music playing and televisions above the bar that had UFC on while I was there. The staff there was very friendly. It is a nice place with bar seating and a lounge area with couches. There is free street parking in front of and near the lounge. There is also commercial parking garages nearby. I liked their signature cocktail menu. It has some savory drinks on the menu. I did my best to go through as many of them as I could. Their drinks were not only very good, but the bartender worked very hard on their presentation. I will admit that the drinks were not very strong, but were still delicious. It was a very comfortable spot, while I was there. However, as I was leaving and as it was starting to get dark, it looks like things started to shift. An armed guard was out front and security ramped up a lot. I did not order any food while I was there, but I will say that it looked good as it was coming out of the kitchen. My tab, be it during happy hour, was reasonably priced. I recommend checking this place out early. I was like Will Smith in the movie I am Legend. I was back in bed before the sun went down. It seems to get very hectic and a bit overwhelming at night. I hav learned that bars do not spend money on armed guards or police for nothing. There has been some issues in the past. With that being said, I really enjoyed my time there. The staff was gorgeous and the drinks were right up my alley. I liked the vide the place was putting off and hopefully will get to check this place out again.
