The food and service are always what you would expect and the atmosphere is always very nice

Lunch today was really good. Fish & chips special and a Cuban hoagie. Always good food and friendly service.

They gave the adult their food first, they left the kid hungry last the service was the food was garbage never eat at this establishment?

What a rare treasure !!! In a quaint little town, At the library, is a bar and grill. They were able to keep all the original decor and make it work as a bar and grill. There are still books and tables for sitting in like you would and the library.... The best part is you don't have to be quiet lol read more

Lex is the best. Great service. Food is good. Charlie & Larry in the kitchen are awesome!

Went on Saturday evening, figured we be ok because it was still somewhat early. The restaurant was full of tables but the entertainment was awful. The drunk guy at the bar was loud and obnoxious, within the first few seconds of being there, we heard a slur of obscenities. Wouldn't usually blame this on the restaurant except the belligerent drunk guy was also wearing a staff shirt. We didn't confront him but another woman did, pointing out that he was an employee and shouldn't be representing the business this way. Waitresses all thought this was amusing. Seriously, does anyone care about who they hire anymore? There were many families in there too. read more

Went in because the sign said must wear a mask until seated. Neither waitress or bartender were wearing one while serving tables. We left and will not be back. read more

Very nice local bar, excellent wings! Fresh cut fries, ice cold beer. Will be back again soon!

Upon reading many positive reviews of th is plac, we decided to try this out on a late Sunday afternoon. I was very intrigued at the interesting decor and the fact that you could tell you are eating in an old library. I had the Italian sub and a side of criss-cross fries. Both were delicious. The bread really made the sandwich. Had a nice texture without being too hard/crumbly. My friends both had different burgers off the menu and thought they were good. Service was great. No complaints here! read more

This place is always worth the trip when visiting Corry. I remember fondly how the layout was when it was the Corry Public Library: adult books upstairs and the kids section downstairs. Although they appear to have done away with my favorite flavor of wings (they had a very limited choice compared to my last visit), the waitress we had this evening was excellent. She knew a lot about dairy allergies (being a vegan, she said) and was more than willing to check on soy allergies as well. She also quickly rectified a flaw in the order, which she said was a kitchen error in not understanding her "SP" lingo for "sweet potato fries." When all was said and done, we had another excellent visit and I tipped more than 20%. read more

This was really disappointing, since we have been satisfied here before. After 1 hour of hair flipping and phone checking and over 14 other people coming in after us and getting their meals, we still had none. We went and found server who told us it was because the printer downstairs wasn't working! What??? read more

Such a cool place! Food was pretty good, our bartender was friendly and attentive. I'll be likely to stop back in my next trip through grand ol Corry, PA read more

What a pleasant surprise. It actually used to be a library. Looks decent inside... clean, somewhat interesting, etc etc. Decent beer selection. Food was standard bar fare. Staff knew their menu and knew the beers/wines in stock. Not so much a dive bar, I was pleasantly surprised! Sorry to be all snobby on you, Corry, PA - but I expected a dive bar! There are FEW non-fast phood options in this town. Far exceeded expectations. I suggest you stop in if you ever veer into that corner of Erie County. This is probably the best bar/grill within 20 minutes of town. read more

Stayed in Corry for about two weeks and my last nite there I decided to drop into This little spot. I had the beer battered haddock with waffle fries and a side of veggies. Fish was white and flakey with a great golden crunch on the outside. Fries were superb as well however skip the veggies in my opinion as they were prepared without thought of flavor. Unfortunate as they looked nice. There was was live music that night that was charming and well received by the locals, and it seemed like a place where everyone knew each other with lots of people catching up with friends about their week. Cool small town place that I wish the best of luck and many patrons. read more

Library Bar & Grill - Beer Battered Haddock - New American Near Me - Corry, Pennsylvania

I'm from Corry, and as far as me and my family are concerned, the Library is THE place to go for a good meal with a good beer. They have a nice selection of food, which is usually made well (my favorites are the Tuscan chicken or Bleu burger) and they have a good selection of beer, including a bunch of regional microbrews. I also like the ambiance. The upstairs restaurant is pretty classy, and the patio area outside is nice. The bar area downstairs is cozy. Service is usually pretty good, kind of slow on busy nights but that's to be expected. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because a couple years ago when I was back in town for Christmas, my family and I went there on a cold night and we wanted some of the hot alcoholic drinks they were advertising. I ordered a hot buttered rum, and I do not think the server knew how to make it, but she pretended she did and it was pretty gross. Other than that I really like the place. The patio in summer has a nice view of downtown Corry, the food is varied and good, it has nice ambiance and the beer selection is very good with something for everyone. read more

Been coming to the Library for years while traveling for business from FL - great beer selection, good happy hour prices, awesome wings and their chili and soup of the day are always top notch. Great management staff and their cooks always hook it up for lunch and their specials are extremely reasonable. 16 wings for $7.99 on Wed is worth the trip. Love this place! read more

Library Bar & Grill - Beer, wings, burgers! It's all good - New American Near Me - Corry, Pennsylvania

New owners? New menu. Kitchen is perpetually confused. 5 people at our table. One didn't get an entree. Another sandwich was missing bacon. Beer was flat. Server was doing his best but with no help from the cooks. They comped us a dessert. read more

This place is pretty awesome! The burger was fantastic!!! The only issue was the server was SO busy. Not her fault but they need to add some help. Great selection of beers and cool atmosphere. Would recommend this place when visiting the corry area. No better place around... read more

Not many restaurants have earned an "Excellent" rating from me, but today, "The Library" in Corry, PA was certainly one of them. You can't help but notice this old library when you enter this quaint little town, but when I saw the Landshark and Samuel Adams umbrellas on the patio, I had to look again. This historical library building has been completely renovated into an upscale patio bar and grill. We knew where lunch would be this afternoon! When you walk in, a few of the bookshelves still remain, and the decor is spot on. Horseshoe bar to the right, hostess station on the left. We decided to sit on the patio, and take it all in. They have sandwiches, salads, burgers, appetizers, and subs. Be careful - all menu items are significant;y larger proportions than we anticipated. We split a sampler appetizer tray. My wife had a buffalo chicken wrap, mom had a vegetarian sub, and I had the Italian sub. When the apps arrived, we were taken aback at the size of the platter, and couldn't believe how crispy the appetizers were! These onion rings have got to be the best I've ever eaten. Beer battered, crispy fried, seasoned beautifully. Same with the hand-wrapped pizza rolls and cheese sticks. Then the main courses arrived. Again, huge. I was able to eat one half of my sub, and was very pleased with it. The service was outstanding - from the greeting to the check, Jenni Ann was cheerful and attentive. Couldn't ask for a better lunch. HIGHLY recommended! read more

The food was very good. The service not so much.... Clearly in these times we understand it's hard because places are very understaffed. However, this place wasn't exactly booming as we got there 29 minutes to 12. Our waitress never came to check and ask how our food was, we could have and would have ordered another drink. I went inside to use the restroom & the umbrella to our table was apparently not anchored by anything flew up and landed on the ground. Thankfully not hurting my elderly father! Spilling my drink everywhere/food everywhere. Not knowing what happened I overheard our waitress talking about it to her buddies at the bar. Realizing when I get back outside it happened to my elderly dad. Another patron came over and helped my dad pick it up & take it inside ( he thought he was a an employee. ) Angry that our waitress realized this and didn't come out, I went right back inside..she started to come out. That obviously is not her fault, but the point is she saw it happen, chatted about it 1st. Another patron had to come help him. The part that burns me up the most is she didn't even ask if he was ok. She didn't ask if we wanted another drink that was spilled everywhere. She was just rude. If I was sitting there, I would have been hit in the head with this thing and my drink would be all over me. This place is a hard pass for me... read more

The Library Bar and Grill used to be the Corry Library and they've incorporated some of the library into the decor using some of the bookshelves and books. The waitress said they have new management and it shows because service was much more efficient and the staff much friendlier. The food is always good and I'm sure I'll be back next time I'm in town. read more

Traveling from Erie, we stopped in for a bite. We enjoyed the library feel of this place but thankfully we didn't have to keep quiet. The old books & antique items make for interesting conversation. Staff was friendly. I wasn't thrilled with my salad but otherwise the food was decent. Everyone loved the bacon & cheese fries as an app. read more

I got wings and my boyfriend got a burger. Very delicious! The waitress was very nice and we got our food in a timely manner. The establishment was clean. read more

This is one of the few mom fast food places in Corry. The food is so-so. Nothing spectacular. A little pricey for what you get. The service is slow unless you're a "regular". We've waited 20 plus mins for a waitress while being one table of very few occupied. The wait staff will hang out at the bar and check their phones instead of acknowledging they have a table. This is one of the places we go if we don't feel like driving to Erie or Jamestown. read more

We came in a Saturday night. I ordered mandarin chicken salad and we also ordered some appetizers. Everything was great. The food was very good and service excellent. What stands out was the atmosphere. I would compare it to the best among any in the region. We would highly recommend and will come back. read more

Very good place to eat. The people are friendly and the food is outstanding. The atmosphere was good also. The lighting was a little dark. I will definitely eat there again. read more

Its ok food, not so great you want to rush back. Sevice is good. We do like when weather is good to set out on the patio.

I never give one star BUT, this was BAD!!! the service was horrible, the food we did get was great. Never again...4 of us came in for dinner on Monday after 7pm....one entree was never served, another entree didn't have tortellini, the Margarita had no tequila.. read more

Best service, best food, super clean, friendly, and delicious. We got the mushroom Swiss burgers and asked to add bacon (no problem at all and the bacon was cooked really well which seems to be an issue at most places). The fries were some of the best we've had. The beer selection was fantastic and the waitress was very attentive. Would recommend this place any day. Loved the atmosphere and found a great book while we were there, too! read more

This is a decent place to go, but service is inconsistent. The wings are the same, but if you have a craving this will get the job done.

The service was HORRIBLE!!! We have been there 5 or 6 times over the last few years. 2 out of the last 3 times we were there have been extremely bad. The other time it was very busy and half our food came out cold and the rest was piping hot. Waitress said the cook forgot two of the orders until after the rest was finished so they put those under the lamps until they could cook the rest. Really bad move. Two meals were pretty much inedible. And tonight, Tuesday night, not terribly busy, ythis time it took 20 minutes for the waitress to even come through the restaurant, she had been in the back that whole time. Two other tables had also come in during that time while we sat there. Then when she finally came out she was waiting on the table next to us and took several minutes to return with the menus. Again it was over 10 more minutes before she returned to get our drink orders. My mixed drink came and had a funny metallic aftertaste. (Maybe the ice). Then our food finally came, nearly an hour after we arrived there. My husband had ordered the cowboy steak that was tonight's special, it was so small it was laughable! He also ordered coleslaw(that was the entire meal). We actually both did laugh and agree that this would be our last time coming here. The steak was so bad that he only ate half and saved the rest for the dog. The coleslaw wasn't eaten because it also had a weird metallic taste. My dinner was fine. I ordered the fish that I had eaten there several of the other times we were there. When the waitress FINALLY came with the bill she explained that she could not remove the drink from the bill because it was against their policy. Which she should have told me an hour earlier when I told very nicely about the problem and asked for a cola no ice instead. She brought the other beverage but never removed the bad one so I should have expected it to be a problem I guess. She suggested she could make me a new drink (when we were ready to leave) then proceeded to say; "No one else as had a problem with the drinks." I have worked in food service in the past and I definitely know this is not how a customer of any establishment should be treated. Instead she could only give me a token for one drink next time we come in but we MUST PAY for the one tonight that I couldn't drink......I refused the token at first and only laughed because we knew we will NEVER be returning!!! read more
