Wonderful new coffee and tea shop in the heart of Edinboro is a welcomed addition to both a rural…read morearea and a college town! It can be difficult to tell if the storefront is open by the outside but both the signage and website can help inform you. Inside, the cafe is spacious yet cozy, with beautiful tables and chairs (although I did notice an absence of any type of decor or wall art; perhaps that will come in time). The menu has all of the standards. I tried a custom vanilla bean cold brew and it was the best I've ever tried anywhere! Perfectly crafted, excellent (locally roasted) beans, and friendly service on top of it all. I appreciated that my drink was even delivered to my table - you don't get that any coffeeshop, and certainly not a big chain. At the time of this review, the kitchen, which offers a few simple breakfast items, closes at 2pm, although the shop is open into the early evening hours most days. Plan ahead if you are in need of an afternoon snack, although a few baked good are available at the counter. The space offers lovely music in the background and free WiFi. I found it a very comfortable space to work for a spell and while I did I noticed the constant flow of customers, which was delightful to see, especially in a new business. It's great to have these type of locally owned and operated one-of-a-kind places in the region. I'll certainly make the drive to visit again just for the coffee and neighborhood feel. I look forward to seeing how this cafe grows. Recommended!!

Soooo you're in Erie & you're craving boba! Have you ever been in this situation? I have. So, where…read morewe going? Andora's!! (*Cue the Yelp review*) - this boba shop in the heart of downtown Erie brings a lot of life and sheds light on the concept of boba to many who haven't experienced it. They have a wide variety of flavors from fruit to milk teas (that can be made hot or cold), but my personal favorites are the ones with chai! There's even a little area for drink pickup, fun Asian snacks and foods (like various types of ramen), and a little wall with teas that you can check out. Pro-tip: you'll likely crave boba often so ask for the punch card and get a free boba every now and then!

I finally had a chance to check out this hidden gem the other day! This place is a real deal for…read morecoffee lover! Not only they serve variety of freshly brewed coffee for you to choose from, I also tried the hot latte and it tasted good, if I remember it correctly, they use the 'Black Pearl' coffee bean for all espresso drinks. 'Breakfast with Elvis' is the most popular for regular brew there, according to the staff. They have a wall packed with coffee beans and they offer 20+ kinds of beans to choose from, from single origins, organic to specialty coffee. Breakfast bagels, cupcakes and cookies are offered there along with fruit smoothies if you are only dragged there by your coffee lover friends, but you prefer something else. There are 2 rooms for customers to enjoy food and drinks there with the cozy coffeeshop vibes. I would definitely go back there again to try different brews and lattes. The staff who took care of me was super nice and welcoming. I love how Erie has so many hidden gems that when driving by, you have no idea you are missing such a great place to visit.

So when I drove up from SC to visit I had to see what all the fuss was about. Sadly, I took more videos than photos as umm be posting them to my author and book pages (@shewriteswithknives). So if you're wanting an interior look by me you'll have to check there at a later date. Now let's get into it. Pressed is cute. Very cute! This bookstore had a particular charm that made me want to look everywhere at once without being overloaded. I was excited to see they had less mainstream books, thus making their selection a bit wider. I somehow managed to only buy one book and paired it with a lavender matcha iced latte. On top of their book selection they have several cute stickers, hats, candles and assorted bookish knickknacks to enhance your reading experience. I'm very glad I was able to drop by.

It was agreed she'd deliver it to the location in the morning. It was needed before 2pm but the plan was to have it there in the AM. Because she forgot, and it was unsure if she'd come through, a homemade cake was made just in case. It wasn't until 1:15 that she texted on way!! Cake arrived, a bit sloppy and still warm. Ended up with two cakes. The whole point was not to bake the night before and yet, $50 later, still had to! The cake was basic with pineapple on it. Not bad just not great, for bakery cake. A bit dry. Not as expected. It's too bad because she came recommended by other local bakers and she's a very nice lady. She offers poetry nights and displays artists work. I'd recommend for that. I cannot speak about the beverages or other foods/desserts. The cafe gets 3 stars because of the community events and she offers other items I didn't try. But I will not pre-order items or recommend anyone to do so.
