After selecting a loaf of bread, I asked a worker who was organizing the shelves if they sold butter. She asked me to repeat the word "butter" three times because she said she couldn't understand me, and then called over the woman behind the counter. The woman behind the counter looked at us but didn't say anything, so I asked again if they had butter. She responded with a very dry "no" and immediately turned away. My mother still wanted to purchase the bread, so we went to the register. The same woman rang us up and then just stared at us. When I asked what the total was, she silently pointed at the screen instead of speaking. The entire interaction made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, as if our business didn't matter at all. The staff were rude, dismissive, and lacked basic customer service. As first-time customers in the neighborhood, this experience left a very negative impression, and I will not be returning.
