I rarely give reviews because most businesses aren't excellent and so I don't bother. Now I will…read morebother to write about my excellent first experience with this company, which quickly identified a black out roller issue via video that two other window people could not ; in fact, these two competitors' solution would have cost a lot more and would have taken weeks to implement. Indeed, there was a quick and easy fix, and this company made it happen within 48 hours. My tenant was thrilled that her visiting mother would be able to enjoy the view from the window. I will definitely call this company again for my next window issues.

We had an amazing experience with Darby and the team at 1 Day Window Treatments. Our Pilates…read morestudio needed both shades and drapes, and the first quote we received was from The Shade Store, which was insane, so we immediately brought out several more companies for a consult. Darby was super knowledgable, he understood exactly what we needed, and the prices were very reasonable compared to most of the competition. Because our Studio has two full walls of windows, we need to keep the sun out but also wanted something lighter for an aesthetic look and for some privacy. Darby suggested we do a UV Sun shade closest to the window, and then another track of drapes which we can pull when it's less sunny or at night when we don't need the full sun blocking. So we ordered both blinds and drapes, and both were done within the timeframe Darby initially quoted us (which was faster than the industry standard from what I experienced meeting other companies). The delivery and installation process was also great, as they were quite flexible working with our schedule around all the other work being done in our studio. Stretch the installer was wonderful. The final result is absolutely beautiful, and one of our instructors just today said "I feel like I'm in a spa." I met with 5 different local companies and I can 100% recommend this one and if we build another studio or need something done for our house there is no question we'll be back :)

Faulty product and poor customer service: I bought 6 motorized blinds here and 2 broke after one…read moreyear of light use, and they refused to help repair under warranty and asked for a fee. They also wouldn't explain what broke and claimed user error such as water damage despite the blinds being in a dry safe environment with almost no use. I'd expect for the price, they would help me understand what broke, as I couldn't trust paying for their repairs as it could just break again. It seems that connecting any battery wand to the custom sized larger blind instantly shorts the battery wand, making it impossible to use. Per M&A, this is user error, even though they assured me the custom blind size was fully supported. They aren't standing behind that, and there is apparently no way to fix my blinds purchased from M&A. For the price, you can certainly do better. Otherwise you may end up with permanently non functional blinds.

I reached out to about a dozen other curtain installation services--most either said the job was too small, required that I purchase curtains from them, or simply never responded. I had forgotten to order clips, and they were kind enough to provide their own without hesitation. Both Joe and Kevin were not only professional, but also friendly and genuinely helpful. No issues, no stress, just excellent service from start to finish. I can confidently say they are THE BEST THERE IS! Thank you, Shades West!
