I've gotten many items from them over the last 2 years and always have a good time when visiting! After months we finally made a weekend stop at Heck's, a house wrecking spot stretching by between a house and barn. It's a quirky spot to poke around, but can be a gamble. We found jewelry, unique napkin rings, a fourth grade textbook in Polish, Indiana Glass, and a million coffee tables. The jewelry section upstairs was well-stocked, the book section upstairs was huge, but the music section was already poked through. Johnny Cash's Greatest Hits was missing from its CD case. Look before you leap, but enjoy the fun finds. The prices ranged from econo thrift to antique gallery, depending on the item, and the quality range the same. Restaurants, coffee, and Cole's Road Brewery are all nearby so this could be part of any itinerary you like.

If you enjoy collecting bottles and cans, then you should do business with this company…read more It is singlehandedly the best company for bottle-return handling services. You'll save the time and hassle by coming here to drop off bottles and cans over machines at grocery store or even Costco. The staff are courteous and great people to run a business like real professionals. They do a great job sorting out and accepting all kinds of bottles and cans from different variety of brands sold in retail or consumed for recreation that are accounted for. At the end, they'll give you the correct estimate for all of the money's worth based on the amount of bags worth of bottles and cans you collect over time. Diamond Consultants here. I will say that Ira is really nice, and so are most of his employees. They helped me empty my truck, and did their best to make sure my items were headed to the right place. But, like most scrapyards, they pay bupkis here. I am NOT a scrapper, I just go here to throw away large appliances for a few bucks instead of actually PAYING a dump to take them away. Better than nothing, I guess. I once had two refrigerators... Got $9.25. Not exactly a living wage unless you can find 16 busted appliances a day. Also, they do not close at 3PM. They close at 2:45. I once came at 2:50, and while they were happy to take my scrap metal for free, they wouldn't weigh my truck for the few dollars I would have received. I use my truck for work, and could not spend the night with a bunch of junk in it. You're probably better off throwing your metal on the curb and putting up a Craigslist ad... some scrapper will take it in less than 24 hours. Not really worth the trip here unless you somehow came across a bin full of pure copper.
