My driveway is up a hill and then is a cul de sac of 3 houses. I moved from one building to another and they increased my premium saying the area I moved to has a higher crime rate.. I moved 10 ft and my cars are in the same spot.. so obviously this is bs. read more

For the most part, they have been good in price and service. Recently I added a utility trailer and was quoted $12 per year, fair enough for only that little. Until I get the statement for an extra $17 per month. So I called my agent (Ryan) and the excuses start flying. The first one was when I swapped one vehicle for another, the insurance went up, yes, if I had made the swap during this policy period, but it happened on the last policy period. Next, a glitch in the system, really, a multi-million dollar business and they have a glitch in their system... com'on, I wasn't born yesterday!! I guess, I'll be looking again once it's time to renew the policy again. read more

Outstanding, patient customer service every single time I call. So refreshing!

TL/DR: I have WAY more coverage, smaller deductibles and am saving 15% vs. Geico. The Long Version: I'm glad Geico messed things up on my new policy and car purchase, because now I have better coverage for less money. I did an online quote at Midnight following a terrible first week with Geico. At 8am-ish the following morning I had a voicemail from Dan at Liberty Mutual. He said he would email me his contact info, and that the online quote had missed a couple discounts (one being for the kind of car I was insuring). Sure enough, I had an email shortly thereafter with some additional info. I love when folks follow through on what they say they will do. I called Dan, he ran through my current policy, upped the coverage, lowered some deductibles, and came up with a rate that $15% cheaper. This took about 15 minutes. Which I find amusingly ironic. Positives: 1. Dan/LM got me more stuff for less money. 2. Dan/LM was FAST. 3. Dan/LM was helpful. He even called the dealership (which is not on the Drive program) to double check some info, and to maker sure they could get the RMV-1 to get my car registered and rolling post-haste. 4. Dan/LM charged my first payment right away - when they said they would. (This is a positive for me, as I hate dangling charges floating out in the ether. I like to know when they're going to happen.) 5. Everything I was promised or told to expect has happened just as I was promised or told to expect it. This is quite refreshing compared to other companies that said, "We'll mail it right out." with no options for expedited service, even after offering to pay extra for it. Negatives: 1. None at this time. It couldn't have been easier to switch. Caveats: I hope I never need the insurance, but if I do, I hope and expect to find them as quick and helpful as they were in signing up. (I can dare to dream.) I will update this review accordingly, should the need arise. read more

I had an extremely positive experience with Liberty Mutual. I needed to switch over auto insurance from one account holder to another, with several large complications along the way. Even though it was bringing them no additional business I received incredibly helpful and prompt customer service. I was extremely impressed and its nice to see that some businesses still maintain excellent customer service read more

A great insurance company for both home and auto

Carolyn McMullen, her manager and Michael E Cooke have been nothing but horrendous. It's going on 2 months since the incident with my cars and I STILL don't have my van back. Liberty mutual has been nothing but issues and problems and headaches. It's been thing after thing that these people have been screwing with me. I finally get a call that my van will be ready tomorrow since they just issued a payment last week. But, I haven't even received my check yet. So I looked into it a little further. And they issued that to the wrong people. So now I have to wait for a stop payment. And for them to reissue it. And I have to pray that these other people didn't cash the damn check. Because I know if they did theyre going to give me an issue. First it was they couldn't come see me for 5 days. Then it was that it was totaled and that if I didn't hear from them in the beginning of the next week to call them to find out what was going on. I only found out it wasn't totaled because I called because I never heard from them. Their estimate did not include replacement of the interior. Which was completely obvious needing to be replaced. So I spent the next week trying to figure that out. Finally about a week after that I got it to Bernardi where it's been for a month or more. Where they continued to screw around with us and say they didn't get Bernardi's estimate. Even though they said they faxed it like two dozen times. And then even after they got the fax they made them fax more and more and more because They didn't want to pay it. Even after they got that It took them another week to even issue the check. And now the checks made out to the wrong people. And missing. I can't take another minute of this. I'm up to like $300 in rental fees. This is ridiculous. Liberty mutual should be paying these rental fees not me. This is because of them. In fact at this point I shouldn't even have to pay the deductible. I need a new insurance company. If anyone has any suggestions I'm open to them. Liberty Mutual Insurance on top of it Michael Cooke has done nothing but put me down and berate me to the Bernardi Honda. He's speaks bad about me every time he talks to them. Because I'm mad that they're screwing up so bad. Carolyn did nothing but hang up on me over and over again when I demanded a manager. Her manager finally called back days later and he did nothing for me either. I even requested another appraisal. He would do nothing even though the interior was obviously needing to be replaced. He even went as far as to tell me that some of the damage would've been there beforehand when it wasn't. And call me a liar. These people are crooks. read more
