They are open, we are waiting in line, 60 people have left within the last 30 minutes and they're not allowing anyone entrance. When asked the employees said they were waiting on their manager to give them the go ahead. There's no bathroom. There should at least be porta potties. Edit. I was told that this ridiculous situation happened because a few people cut the line. Let me get this straight. This was not a burgeoning crowd out of control. This was parents with multiple toddlers waiting patiently in the heat with no amenities. Maybe a couple of people did that (I didn't observe it-my friend later told me from the inside what they had told them), but it wasn't obvious to everyone else. But you punish everyone? Yes, just treat us like one unwashed mass, instead of giving consequences to the few offenders. What is this? Stalin's Russia? And what is the name of the waterpark? That said, we finally were able to enter, and we had an amazing time. The price is right, and there's just enough of everything to have a really nice and relaxing day. We had such a good time that I only want to know that the person who needs to see this review sees it, and I will remove my complaint. read more

I visited this park recently and had splashing time. The water was very clean & the front staff greeted me nicely. My only issue was I had to bring my non clear bag back to the car. They have a strict bag policy so be mindful. The lifeguards were very attentive and had great reaction times. I also tried the concession stand out, they were a little slow, but the food was hot! We had a great time at the park. It wasn't overcrowded on a Tuesday. We bought the wristband for an extra five dollars for FloRider, the surfing -style ride. The two young gentlemen/lifeguard/surfer guys were so kind and sweet and helpful teaching my 10-year-old and her friends how to ride. It really gave them the courage to keep trying. There was plenty of shade. And from any point in the park I could sit under an umbrella and see the whole park where my daughter was. It was only $12 for adults and $10 for kids. Totally worth the money. Free parking. And concessions are reasonably priced. read more

Hands down BEST waterpark in Louisiana!! The entire place is clean. The restrooms are clean!! Water is cool but not freezing and not hot. Cheap to get in. Upbeat, clean music playing. Perfect for families!! Food is cheap compared to other waterparks. Me & my family love Liberty Lagoon for summer activity. It is a fairly new park...almost 4 years old. It is small enough that you can see the entire park from wherever you sit. We usually love coming to liberty lagoon but on today 8/6/23 before getting on the purple and yellow slides we were standing in line to get on the slides Gabby bumped into about three kids and five adults to get to her post without saying excuse me literally knocking us up the stairs. Gabby was monitoring the purple and yellow slides she asked me if I could take off my earrings and necklace which I had no problem with it was the rolling of the eyes and being disrespectful for me I had to assure her that I was in fact 30 years old even though I may not look it , we then proceed to ask her name she what her name was she responded Gabby while again rolling her eyes and her neck I assure her that I was indeed going to her manager and let them know what's going on when I went to the box office to talk to the manager only to find out he was also a kid. There's no adult supervision whatsoever they definitely need it. Nothing was really solved he said he would talk to her poor poor customer service. I'm not sure if it's just the heat or what but they all had attitudes and this is suppose to be a kids park. If I could've got my money back I definitely would've left after this incident but the kids needed to enjoy themselves. So yeah thanks Gabby but we definitely won't be returning. read more

This was our first time coming here. My family and I traveled 2 hours to come to this waterpark and we should've went elsewhere. When we first paid for our tickets, we were told that the lazy river was closed today but everything else was opened, and we were all fine with that. As the day went on and all of our kids were having fun, the park kept giving "time outs" as what they called it and made everyone get out of the water because other people weren't following their rules. First off, I paid my money to get in there and if someone wasn't following their rules then the people who aren't following it needs to get out the water and not everybody in total. that was complete bullshit. This happened 3 times while we was there. 2nd off, if the lazy river is closed off and the work do not want anyone to be in there, then they should put up some damn yellow tape or something to block it off so people would know not to enter it because like us this was our first time there and the so called lazy river they have is attached to the damn other pool so how are people supposed to know not to go in there if it's not blocked off with some tape to not go in there!! people were playing volleyball and the ball went in to this river and they went to get the ball and got yelled at. this place is ran by a bunch of liberals! I understand rules have to be in place but to say you're putting "everyone in time out because a couple of people won't follow rules" is bullshit. kick the people out that's not following your liberal rules and not everyone else. this place is ridiculous and we will never return and I hope everyone else reads what happened today to everyone and don't support this place. read more

Debated between 3 and 4 stars, so here's the #1 reason why I chose less. The food is junk and overpriced. I will still prefer Liberty Lagoon over the hassle that is Blue Bayou as it's so much more manageable for little ones; however, Blue Bayou has a lot more food options that aren't necessarily junk food, like pizza, frozen lemonade, and yogurt popsicles. Sadly Liberty Lagoon is incredibly strict with outside food, so we always aim to show up as soon as they open then scram out before we are starving. You can beat the lines that form throughout the day that way too ;-) Overall, my staff experiences has been mediocre. Mostly young kids who don't seem to go out of their way to exceed in customer service skills. My husband said that he waited for life jackets way too long when there were 5 workers just standing around doing nothing. On the positive note, the location is super convenient for me by Independence Park, the set up is fun and stres-free for parents of little ones, and there always seem to be lots of tables available. Oh and the price is still incredibly low, so I would have no concerns going multiple times in one summer. Until my kids get older, I'll continue preferring this park over the more crowded Blue Bayou. read more

Sorry, but I just can't recommend this place. We went last weekend, and the entire experience was pretty terrible. First off, there was a long line and they announced that they had reached capacity and weren't letting any more people in until other families left. It didn't bother me, since I don't live far, but there were families from New Orleans and Thibodaux and other places who were pretty disappointed. We finally made it in around 1:15. The first slide we tried was the one with the funnel, and it wasn't fun at all, just painful. Where the slide connects to the funnel, it's a rickety rough drop and I bumped my head and elbow pretty bad. I sat there and watched multiple people get off complaining about their elbows as well. The other slides weren't as bad. The lazy river was lukewarm and so crowded that I could barely move. It just wasn't pleasant or relaxing or refreshing at all. read more

My wife, daughter and myself recently went here on a Saturday. They opened at 10 am on a Saturday compared to noon on a Sunday, so we thought we would be in early and out early to avoid lines and traffic congestion. We were somewhat right. We showed up about 20 minutes early and the line was already out to the street, but luckily with a little bit of hustle when we arrived we were able to claim two of the last poolside lounge chairs under the large shade umbrellas located in the back of the park which was a good thing as the temperature was in the mid-90s and the sun was blasting its rays the entire day. Even though it was very crowded, the patrons that attended were very courteous to each other and fortunately, I did not witness any drama outside the occasional mom and/or dad going off on their children routine which we also participated in. There were plenty of lifeguards on duty and two police officers in the front which set the precedence for a safe and fun environment. The lazy river, the children's area and the majority of the park was very clean. They have 5 slides that require going up a few flights of stairs. I went on the yellow and the purple slides that were side by side and I hated it. I must have felt over a dozen bumps on my way down and was in pain after riding the purple slide that was even worse than the enclosed yellow slide. Another drawback about this park that people with health concerns should be aware of is that customers are not allowed to bring in their own food or drinks. Even water bottles are not allowed and the water from the drinking fountain tastes gross. The water bottles are $2 each and it could take some time to even purchase the bottles because you have to stand in the same line as those purchasing food. The food is extremely disgusting! Your options are burger, cheeseburger, hot dog, fries, chicken nuggets, pretzel or pizza. Absolutely no healthy options. I spent about $12 on a combo burger with fries & a drink plus pizza. It was not good at all, it was awful. I would certainly give this park 4 stars if their no food or drink (including bottled water) rule was lifted, but as of now, I do not see myself going here anytime soon. read more

The line is always long and the wait is based on other people enjoying the place and deciding to leave before more people can be allowed in. A few things I didn't like at all. The rules state you are not allowed to bring drinks or food in (this also means water) So I thought that's fine we will just get our water as soon as we get in. Our bags were checked to make sure we were not bringing any drinks or food in. Once we got in we went to get water because it's 90 degrees in Louisiana! The line was very long. It took ONE HOUR of waiting in line to get water. So we were already off to a bad start. The toddler section of the park was a really good size for the kids to swim around and play but the water coming down from the top bucket over the play area. The water comes down way too hard knocking children over and scaring them half to death. Also, expect not to find a place to sit, this place can overflow with people and leave you sitting on the grass with no shade. Restrooms had zero toilet paper water to wash hands was out of service ( I tried everyone) Things I did like. The customer service was great, everyone seemed sweet, especially the lifeguards. Today was the first time we came to this park after COVID 19. We came at 11 and paid and were ask to leave Since they close for 1-2 and ask everyone to exit the park and have to re-pay to enter again. I spoke to the staff because they didn't have signs or told me about this when we paid. We were instructed you have to pay 2 times for a total of $24 dollars for the whole day. I find it Ridiculous is since it's a small water park and you could go to blue bayou for almost the same price.don't come here and waist your money or time. read more

This little water park is wonderful! It's a bargain compared to the bigger water park in our city. The best option is to get a season pass if you plan on going more than once a week. The downside to this option is that it's only valid M-F. Prices for lockers is pretty steep: $7 - $10 for a daily locker rental. It's worth it if you're not willing to lock valuables in your car. The lifeguards are attentive and plentiful. There are free life vests for those who can't swim and they do encourage their use. Overall, it's a great little gem in the middle of town. read more

We have always loved Liberty Lagoon until this Saturday! My 12 year old daughter was humiliated by one of the life guards by asking her in front a long line of kids if she weighed 300 pounds. I'm writing this letter because I reserved a section at the park for a 10th birthday party for my son. I checked before reserving if I could bring my own food and drink knowing I would have a big party wanting to make sure my guests had food to eat during the 4 hours we would be at the park. I put in my food order and it took over an hour for us to get food and when the food did come, it was cold and barely eatable......such as the fries being hard. Then I had to wait another hour to get drinks. My entire party was very agitated, including myself, because I could have brought my own food if you didn't have enough staff in place to accommodate my needs. When I went to the manager on site (Daniel Burg) to get a discount on what I purchased, he was very dis-respectable and not accommodating at all. I didn't ask to get it for free, just a discount because the food was not acceptable, but when you have people that hadn't eaten for 3 to 4 hours and have been in the heat and swimming for hours, any food is better than nothing. Never going here again. We went because we were invited to a private party there. We had a pavilion rented out, thank god. Otherwise, there was no where to sit. They had lines all the way down the fence to get in. They said it was too overcrowded. They weren't even letting people for the private party that had started 45 minutes prior to when I got there. Then, my husband accidentally left something in the car and they refused to let him run out and get it even though he had only been there for 5 minutes. He was told he would have to re-pay. What really did it for me was the disgusting floating hair in the lazy river and the tacky parents not correcting their kids for pushing children out of the way when they were waiting in line to go down a slide. read more

I'm giving BREC's Liberty Lagoon 1 star, only because I cannot give it 0. The entire experience was far below my expectations for a BREC park. The food was disgusting, the service was poor and it was overcrowded and chaotic. There were several lifeguards spread throughout the facility but they were aloof and did nothing to maintain control or enforce rules. To top it all off, there was an incident when my 4 year old son cut line for the kiddie slide. He was already setting on the top of the slide when the male lifeguard snatched him up by the arm with one hand and pulled him up out of the slide and into the air, scarring him and causing him to drop his goggles. When my mother confronted him about it, he started yelling at her and saying that "he (my son) shouldn't have broken the rules". I contacted management, they gave me the phone number to the corporate office...I called corporate, they said someone would call me back. So, I went to the corporate office where I spoke to someone who is part of the Liberty Lagoon management team (I'm assuming, he didn't really say what his "title" was). He offered a weak apology, told me he would "watch the tape" and then enthusiastically gushed about the mermaid who was going to be at the park on Monday (as if I would attend, after what happened). Overall, I got the feeling from both Management and BREC that my concerns weren't anything to be alarmed about. There was no sincere apology, no sense of empathy; no indication that anything that happened during my visit (bad service, lifeguards not paying attention and letting people break the rules, A LIFEGUARD PUTTING HIS HANDS ON MY CHILD) were unacceptable or out of the ordinary for BREC's Liberty Lagoon. I will never visit this park, again and I urge anyone who is reading this review not to, either. If you want a better experience, you can visit Aqua Pards in Denham Springs. It's priced similarly but everyone is friendly, the park is facilitated better, the concessions are A MILLION TIMES better (they even have a sno cone shack! Yummy!). It is a tad smaller than Liberty Lagoon but it is so much more fun that this park and it's worth it! Let me just say here (about the incident with my son) that I am not writing this review because I'm angry that my kid got in trouble. My son was breaking the rules, I was watching when it happened, and I disciplined him for it. I would not have been angry at the lifeguard for telling me that he couldn't go down the slide anymore. More so, if he had picked my son up with 2 hands and handled him with care, I would not be angry but lifeguards in places like this one have a responsibility to facilitate safety and control, not to man-handle little kids. read more

OMG!!!! Soooo much fun!!! Spent $9.17 each for my son and I. There are only two major water slides and a lazy river. I enjoyed it mostly because it is truly a kids park there's a play area for toddlers and the water is only 1ft in that area. As a parent, I was able to sit down while they played. This place is absolutely ridiculous. My fiancé and I decided to bring our children and to this water park to have a nice time. Unfortunately, that time wasn't had. We arrived at approximately 3:00pm and stood in line for over an hour. Shortly after that hour long wait, my family got to the gate and was told that we weren't able to go in because the park has reached the capacity. The woman at the gate (I wish I knew her name, she was a young, white lady with blonde hair) told us that we would be able to go in after 40 people walked out. 45 minutes after she gave us this information, more than 80 people walked out of the pool, and we weren't allowed to enter. While waiting, there was no communication between any staff members or customers. I'm really disappointed in the lack of communication and professionalism at this park. This was my first time coming to this water park, and will most definitely be my last. read more
