Bought a bike earlyish summer and everyone was helpful until I put my payment down for the bike then all communication sucked. Check engine light was on as soon as picked up the bike so they clearly didn't do the test ride before hand. Said to just ride it out, it'll go away lol a cylinder was leaking, dunno how you miss that. All the cosmetic work that was promised for the bike wasn't even touched and the salesmen stopped all communication with me. A lot of false promises were made and since I've been talking to other people about the shop it's not uncommon. I worked with this dude Aj, I'd avoid him as much as you can. After having a rider to rider deal fall through by no fault of the dealers, I was a little disappointed but Eddie and Nicole went above and beyond to help me get on another bike at payment close to the deal I had on the other much cheaper bike. Service department is terrible . Last year came in with a check engine light on .Service manager tells me just o2 sensor can clear it . I go ahead do a full service,pay for the deductible for engine light ,3 days later tells me yeah can't do nothing with engine light .I called today for a simple oil change person who answers phone says to come right in . Hmmmm... I've been going here for service for 9 years. During COVID I went in and bought a tire and got it installed for a ridiculous amount of money. I figured it was what they needed to do to stay open. Now I called for new front tire, fork service, and brake pads, this time I bought my tire elsewhere. Service tells me "we don't install customer supplied parts". I guess business is so bad they still need to charge twice as much for parts? When I bought my first HD, I bought it from Harley Davidson Sales Co (aka Williams HD) in Bound Brook. The service and personal attention I received from Joe and the late Otto Williams was something I'll never forget. They, along with their tech staff, set a high bar and when they retired in 1999, the NJ HD scene suffered. I stopped riding shortly after that but started again a few years ago. My local HD dealership was a sh*t show that never bothered to learn much about my Pan America they had it for a week but were incapable of doing a recall fix in that time. I had to remove my bike from there, unfinished, because I lost confidence in their service staff. I tried Liberty's Saturday morning Fast Lane and they did the recall fix in about 15 minutes. Plus, the service manager, Anthony, took the time to explain a few things about this new platform. All I needed was a HD service location that I could have confidence in. Nice place but definitely a couple punks working there. One punk from parts saw me approaching the counter and actually went to the back to pretend he was doing something and after waiting for ever at the counter I went and took a peek back there he's sitting down on a chair on his phone relaxing. He's lucky I'm a nice guy or I'd love to stomp this pathetic weasel. All the other parts departments at other Harley stores I been too are much helpful and polite. I've been bringing my 2010 Ultra Classic Triglide to Liberty, now Hannums Harley Davidson since I purchased it. This bike is my first Harley, in a long line of bikes I've owned since 1971. Anthony, the Service Manager, took the time to explain to me various extended service plans available and taking his advice I purchased one. Since then, I have needed covered service on a few occasions and cannot be more pleased with the service, communication, and care with which both I and my Trike received. There is no doubt in my mind that Anthony and his team truly love motorcycles and understand the needs and expectations of a rider. Since I live in Brooklyn, NY and Hannum's is in NJ, Anthony has done everything possible to ensure that when I need work done, I can ride it in and wait for the repairs to be completed. THIS IS AMAZING SERVICE. And as if that wasn't enough, my trike is returned to me freshly washed. WOW!! I used to dread going to dealerships for service. Not anymore. In fact everyone at Hannum's is friendly and knowledgeable. They're always willing to offer advice and information. The staff at Hannum's HD are outstanding, from the Head Manager Ryan to his top sales personnel Nicole. I purchased both my first HD 2013 Fat Boy Low "Black Denim" and my second HD from this location. Both Ryan and Nicole went out of their way in answering every question and concern I had being a first time buyer of a motorcycle. When the time came for me to trade in and purchase my second bile, I spoke with Ryan and Nicole again, and also spoke with Eddie when I went over my paperwork. Always friendly, polite, and professional. I went with a 2017 Street Glide Special "Black Denim" As far as the rest of the staff, everyone is polite, and always act professional. I don't feel like a customer when ever I go there to ask questions, or purchase something, they make you feel like family !!! I'll never use their service department again. The techs are either too lazy or too arrogant to read installation instructions, and to check an installation after it's completed. The ultimate responsibility for this incompetence falls on management for not having appropriate standards for training and expectations for performance. I grew up in PA where the first "Hannum's Harley" has been a local landmark for as long as I can remember, so the name has always meant something to me. Now it means something different - "stay away." I took my bike to them for a relatively simple electronic accessory installation. I spoke with the Service Manager, Anthony, and he personally spoke with the engineer who developed the accessory. So far, so good. Unfortunately, the tech who did the installation obviously didn't even bother to read the instructions because he mis-wired it so badly it wasn't even functional. He also clearly didn't check the installation afterwards or he would have realized his mistakes. They also failed to return additional parts that were in the packaging that they didn't use, but that I needed. They claimed to have mailed them to me, but I never got them. At my insistence, Anthony did refund the charge for the "installation," but I had to re-purchase the parts they lost or discarded, and am now finding it difficult to find another repair shop willing to undertake the responsibility of correcting their mistake. There is nothing more basic than reading installation instructions and checking your work after it is completed, but that's too much to expect here... read more

I went to Hannums and ordered a clutch pack for my SE Road glide.with the intention of doing the work myself. A week later got a call that it was in but I decided to let them do the work. Dropped off the bike and a few days later got a call and spoke with the mechanic working on my bike and asked why I ordered the entire clutch pack, that I only needed the plates and clutches and I can save some money by just doing that. I agreed, but when the bike was done turns out that the parts cost a hundred dollars more, not less. Saving money like that I'll be broke in a week. They also replaced the tires and I was really annoyed that the rear wheel was filthy. Yeah, I brought it in that way but they had the wheel off and they could easily have wiped it down before putting it back together. It's a pain in the neck to get to it on the bike with the bags on. The $1800 bill reminded me why I stopped going to dealers years ago. The work performed was more than adequate but the lack of attention to detail Is disappointing. On a bright note, Liberty was a tshirt shop that sold motorcycles. This place is a motorcycle shop that sells t shirts. Great selection and good prices. I would buy a bike here, but service I think not. I need to update my review. Apologies to Hannums if I sounded like a pissy little bitch. I just took this bike on a long hard run and it performed like never before. I'm really pleased with the transformation, as many wrenches have been in this bike and they really dialed it in. I like to ride hard and hot and this thing performs flawlessly. I'll take the dirt and enjoy the performance. Hats off to true professionals. read more

They do have a large selection of bikes however the staff are not very friendly. I went in there and browsed around on a slow Saturday morning (not a lot of customers) and not once was I approached by sales nor did staff look like they wanted to be bothered. I saw a customers lounge and took a peek inside, saw a coffee stand and decided to get myself a cup of coffee while I was there. It turned out the only other 3 people in the customers lounge were staff members! The regular coffee was out and only decaff was remaining. Two staff members didn't even acknowledge me as a customer behind one of them waiting for coffee as they were hovering around the coffee pots. Where to begin.. My 2016 softail was hit in parking lot. Minor damage but enough to make it inoperable. I called Hannums and they said yes we can fix it and as long as no paint work needed it would be a week or two. They picked up bike third week of July. Insurance company goes there same week and gives a check for over $3000.00. I priced parts it was approx 1200.00 and there was no paint needed. After several calls and visits wondering what's happening also noticing my bike out in the rain which it never was in at my house. The last 3 weeks it was there the excuse was we are waiting on mirrors.. Really!! The mirrors that I paid 60$ for and you charge 300$. I told service guy I would take it the way it without mirrors and install myself. He said no problem well another 2 weeks no calls from them and no returned calls. I went there again 9/10/18 bike not touched because no mirrors and now no taillight lense. Wth. They did however get the bike done on 9/13.. after complaining to service manager about bike outside in rain he denied but agreed to detail. Big deal he would have detailed anyway. I went and pickup up bike 9/15/18. No apology no paperwork they pushed it out to front lot and walked away. In between 9/10 and 9/13 parts depart called me and said your lense and mirrors are in u can pu anytime. I said put them on bike it's there in your shop. The phone was silent and he hung up. They lost mine and my families business I will go to Williams from now on. I but a bike every 5 yrs and bought this one there. No more bye bye. I'd like to give 0 stars. Whole summer gone. read more

Avoid this place. Bike runs worse after I had them do a an upgrade to bike. New total exhaust from the Motor to the Exhaust. Plus Ignition Module. Plus dyno testing. Told Me bike is running Ok when it is not after I brought it back. Will not fix it. read more
