Both Apple Maps and Google maps says that this location closes at 7 pm on Mondays, and last light (Monday night) I showed up with my partner at around 6:25 to pick up our car that was ready for pickup and they were closed.. I had already left my partner at the dealership before realizing he was stranded there in the cold.. so I had to rush back to pick him up. called today to let them know the inconvenience caused and barely got an apology and was told they'd let someone know about the issue with the incorrect time displayed. No offer to make up for the huge inconvenience. This is not the first time we have had issues like this here. I do not recommend this shop. read more

They are slow and seem completely unmotivated to sell. They also use false advertising. We were pursuing a non-Ford vehicle with over 90k miles on it. The listing clearly stated that one of the features was their "Liberty 4 Life" program. When flipping through the pictures, one of the pictures said "reasons to buy from Liberty" and the lifetime powertrain warranty was mentioned in those reasons, too. When I got to the dealership and decided we wanted the car, they told us it doesn't qualify for the program. When I asked why it says it has it in the listing, they said that all their vehicles say it. I took the vehicle to a Subaru service department and they told me it needed a transmission flush and Liberty refused to do it. They also connected the computer to it and found 3 error codes. Why didn't Liberty's service department do this before trying to sell the car to me? The tailgate was only working intermittently. The salesman gave up trying to get the tailgate to open when we testdrove it so he put the license plate in the side window. Even with that, they wouldn't explore further what the issue was because it worked later when we tried it. I had put $500 down on the car for them to hold it for me until we had the deal all worked out. I left a voicemail for the used car manager to explain Liberty 4 Life and he never returned my call. They were selling the car as is and they were sticking to that. After 2 weeks of no communication or signs that they really wanted to sell me a car and make me a happy customer, they sent me a text message saying they refunded the deposit and sold the car to someone else. I will never consider buying from this dealership. What a horrible experience. read more

The service department stinks. Terrible communication. After paying to get it towed in the only service they did was an emergency brake recall and then nothing. Almost a week later had it towed elsewhere and the new garage diagnosed the problem next day. read more

This is about the service department more than anything else. We bought a 2020 Lincoln Aviator, long story short, had so many problems that, 1 year and 21,000 miles later Lincoln is, under the lemon law, repurchasing the vehicle. Through all of our many, and there were many, issues the service department was impeccable and Joanna did her best to ensure we had been accommodated with a comparative loaner vehicle and not incudes we ever receive a bad attitude from anyone. read more

We were looking for a fairly rare car, a manual transmission Fiat abarth convertible. After an exhaustive search on the internet we found the exact replacement at Libery Ford. We live in Florida and planned on driving up to Canton to look at the car. Bill kept us informed on the progress of the car as their mechanics went through a complete checklist to ok the car. Unfortunately they had a hard time getting a part as can be expected. Finally we had to have another vehicle shipped to Florida for us due to constraints from our insurance company. Bill totally blue out of the water the myths about used car salesman. We so appreciated his honesty and professionalism. My husband is a certified mechanic and every time he talked to Bill he felt better and better about buying a car so far away. read more

Did I get my functioning vehicle at an ok price? Yes, and because of that, this isn't a 1 star review. However, the negotiations were sketchy and the service after my purchase was poor. At the time of purchase, my vehicle had a tear on the driver's seat. I asked for a little off the price, which the dealer instead offered to take care of on the house. I accepted and got it in writing. I tried no fewer than five times to make an appointment with their "leather guy" and always got, "he's out now but we'll call you back" responses. Well, I never got called back and still have a tear on my seat. The lesson here is that this dealership will get you to buy a car and then not make good on any additional deals for assistance after the sale. Additionally, this is one of many dealerships that doesn't offer Carfaqs (or similar reports) up front on their used cars because they're more interested in the sale than in ensuring customer satisfaction in the long run. Downtown Ford or now liberty ford is and Great dealership. Has always taken care of me. The service department is excellent. The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 stars is it would be nice that after your car is serviced upon pickup it had a nice car wash. Otherwise the best ford dealership around. read more

I inquired about a Ford vehicle online and heard back the next day from the salesperson Johnathon White. He seemed clueless, so he escalated the conversation with the Sales Manager Ron Harrell. I had followup questions with Johnathon that went unanswered for days. After a few phone calls with Ron, he told me what it would take to get the vehicle certified pre-owned. I told him that I wanted to ask a friend some questions first, and he got angry and hung up on me. After I got the answers from my friend, I left a voicemail with Ron about proceeding with the sale. Never heard from him again. I then talked to Steve (another Sales Manager), and was told he would get everything straightened out and give me a call the next day. Never heard back from him. I have never had such a bad experience working with a sales team. Such poor communication skills. They made it impossible to buy the car I wanted. They missed out on an easy sale. read more

My mother is in her 70's and was in need of a new vehicle; she hadn't bought a new one in almost 13 years. This being the first major purchase since my father passed away, she was pretty nervous about going thru the whole car buying process without him and asked me to go along. As an observer, I can tell you that the whole experience was outstanding! Everyone was very patient with my mother as it really took time to explain everything to her...sometimes more than once. It was really nice to see her treated in such a respectful and caring manor. The salesperson, Don, came in on his day off to deliver the car to her and explain how everything worked. This was a great car buying experience and I highly recommend shopping at Downtown Ford if you want to be treated with respect and get a great deal. read more

I bought a Ford Focus of them in 2013, good experience, quick, fair...in and out. So I'm in need of another car. I decided to go back. Boy did i make a mistake Quick and skinny is I went to look at a used Honda Civic, I would be trading in my Ford Focus. The original offer that they came at me with was to roll over 3500, $3000 down, $460 a month for 72 months. Needless to say my jaw hit the floor. The car was only 17,500. I told them the math doesn't even add up. That had to be almost 30% interest. 30%...WTF! I got 4.5% on my last loan for a used car. I should have used my credit union as I could have done even better... Quite honestly, at this point I'm p***ed. If my sales girl wasn't so damn hot, I would have left. Now she didn't set up the deal, her finance manager did. I guess he thought I was a 19 year old kid sweating a Honda Civic.....I'm 38, I don't really sweat anything anymore. I ended up dealing with her boss, who wasn't a terrible guy. She wasn't either. Just the point I had to argue the point of interest to these people. They wouldn't tell me anything about the way they structured the loan...I had to pull out a Calculator to figure out what they did. In the end, they wanted 25% interest, they hadn't even formally ran my credit. I'm sure they probably got everything off the balance of my loan on the Focus...In the end I got a good deal on the Civic I picked up. My payment were where they WERE SUPPOSED TO BE, actually cheaper then I thought. In the end they got me to sign. I was tired, hadn't ate all day, hot girl was going home, just a bunch of things working against me. Not saying don't go to them, as they do have good deals to get you in. Just line up your own financing, or take a good payment Calculator and be ready to use it. Only reason they got 3 stars instead of 2 was my sales girl was hot. 2 stars would be more accurate of my experience, hot girl has to count for something. read more
