This was a dark roux gumbo. If you prefer the dark roux, definitely give it a try! My husband ordered the gumbo and half roast beef poboy. Right before we left, the waitress brought us a sample plate of fried crawfish tails that she told us would be on the menu this weekend. They were delicious! My husband and I both enjoyed them. Finally I ordered bread pudding and my husband ordered strawberry shortcake to go. After I got home I tasted the bread pudding and couldn't get enough. The portion was huge and had excellent flavor.
