They have a great dairy just down the road with quality unpasteurized milk straight from the cows. They sell it for just $4 a gallon.

The food was amazing...I tried the bison ravioli, elk empanada, elk chilli and a 6oz filet. All the appetizers were delicious and unique...the steak was so tender it was unbelievable, barely had to chew it. You have to try this place, it is a lil pricey but for food this great who cares

Everything is pretty brand new and nice and laid back. Great steaks and martinis in the restaurant. The cabins (2 houses with 4 cabins each) are contemporary ranch style I guess - big back porch with view of small river where you can fish if you want. Big queen beds, TV, coffee maker, etc. The sporting clays course is challenging and also has nice river views. First rate carts, nice gun shop. The place, once you get there, feels very private - only one minor road with little traffic passes by it. There's an astounding exotic game collection - buffalo, elk, bison, zebra, and too many types of deer to mention, even bald eagles - right outside your car window. 5 star service at every turn. I'll be a regular.

I wanted something fun for the 6 year old. It was perfect. We booked a stay in an air conditioned covered wagon. There were animals all around; so my son got a five dollar feed bucket and visited a good many animals. The wagon beds were great, came with a/c, a lantern and a tv. They are also linked to an rv resort with a pool just across the road so we spent the afternoon there. It was a great way to spend the night. I would have loved to try the food but we were a bit late to the game and had to leave out too early My only caveat, while I appreciate the in person welcome, my brain cannot process the explanation of the whole book. You need an abbreviated version for parents. I literally forgot half of what we were told before she was finished. They.have lodging, a restaurant, a spa, and animal encounters as well, I can only speak for our one night though. 1 recommendation- bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper, dogs, peacocks and roosters aren't known for quiet. I slept fine with ear plugs in though.

I visited Southfork Ranch as part of a work group outing and honestly had no idea what to expect…read morebut I left genuinely impressed and entertained. This place is a legitimate piece of American pop culture history, and they do a great job bringing it to life. The guided tour takes you inside the actual ranch house, and it's more immersive than you'd think. The formal dining room with its crystal chandeliers, the bold red kitchen, the grand foyer staircase -- it's all right there, frozen in time like the Ewing family just stepped out for a moment. And yes, they have the room where JR was shot, complete with a chalk outline and crime scene markers. Campy? A little. Fun? Absolutely. Outside, the grounds are beautiful. White fences, open pastures, friendly animals wandering around with the iconic ranch house as the backdrop. There's also JR's silver Lincoln Continental on display in the museum, along with memorabilia and history from the show. Fair warning: this is a deeply generational experience. My older colleagues were absolutely in their element while some of the younger folks in our group needed a little context. But even without being a die-hard Dallas fan, there's enough to see and appreciate that everyone ended up having a good time. Great group outing, unique Dallas experience. If you're in the area, it's absolutely worth a visit.

Growing up in Europe, we watched the show later than audiences in the U.S., but I never missed an episode and absolutely loved following the Ewings' story. So when I had the chance to travel through Texas, visiting Southfork was at the top of my list. The visit exceeded my expectations. The ranch is perfectly set up for visitors - from the guided tour of the house, which is preserved and decorated exactly like it appeared in the show, to all the little details, including the cars the Ewing family used. Our guide gave a fascinating talk about the history of filming, the ranch's rental process, and behind-the-scenes stories that really brought the show to life. We also got to walk around the ranch, see the small horses or ponies, and browse a tiny gift shop. It was amazing to experience in person something I'd watched on TV for so many years - and on the other side of the continent, no less! The whole experience was nostalgic, charming, and genuinely fun. If you love Dallas or just want to see an iconic TV ranch in real life, Southfork is absolutely worth the visit.
