Although the Eye Associates' Tech insisted that NO Insurance ever covers the Refraction exam, my Insurance confirmed that it is COVERED under my plan and there is NO co-pay. Eye Associates charged me $25 co-pay and wanted me to pay additional $50 for the Refraction exam. It is getting more and more difficult to find a truthful business.

As I myself followed up on my glasses I received a few different reasons it took so long. In the end for whatever reason it took the time it did it still should have been handled differently. It kept getting blamed on the lab and yes it was the labs fault apparently. BUT your only as good as your behind the scene workers. If it was a restaurant and your food was wrong - you send it back. Now if you have to wait for another two hours for the correct food to appear - we'll I can guarantee you would not be happy or possibly leave. Once again a restaurant is only as good as it's behind the scene kitchen workers. I'm happy I got my glasses as I have two months of banking I was unable to do which now I'm catching up on. Will I use Dr Dombrowski's practice in the future (?) I'm not sure. I always believe in second chances. Time will tell. I truly hope other people do not go through the same craziness. We took a trip to Rehoboth Beach on a Friday and, being unfamiliar with the ocean, I went in with my glasses and lost them when a wave crashed into me. I have an especially strong prescription (-6.25 & -6.5), so not having vision correction for an extended time isn't a viable option for me. I called a few places on Saturday when we were home again, but they either had a two week turnaround time to make a new pair of glasses (not an option, as I'd be out of the state at that point) or didn't have lenses in my prescription in stock for a more quickly made pair. When I phoned ModernEyes, Emily answered my call and was immediately sympathetic, friendly, and very helpful. She was able to find lenses in my prescription, and when I went to ModernEyes to pick out a pair of frames to go with them, she was incredibly helpful in choosing styles that suited me and advising me on which pair would best suit my time constraints, budget, and personal style. (I feel like it's the first time my tastes have aligned so well with someone helping me pick out frames!) They were able to cut the lenses to fit the frames in house, and in about 30 minutes, my new glasses were ready. She helped me fit the frames comfortably to my face and assured me I could get them adjusted if they ended up feeling too tight or if the lenses were disorienting in any way. I can't adequately express my gratitude for her patience, warmth, and attentiveness. Something that I thought might derail my entire vacation ended up being resolved quicker than I could imagine. A huge huge thank you to Emily for being such a lovely presence and helper, and thank you to ModernEyes for having what I needed when I needed it!

She neglected my greeting when I walked in, asked my name with her back facing to me, unwilling to show my order details, and even responded with a dismissive expression when I inquired about the cost of each item in my order. When I asked her what's wrong, she pulled herself forward from behind the desk and yelled " do not yell to me!". I wonder if there is a video record in that office. After waiting five months for an appointment, I confirmed the date and time three days prior to my visit, only to be met with one of the most unprofessional and frustrating customer service encounters I have ever experienced. Upon my arrival, I was told by your receptionist, Genesis, that my appointment had been canceled because I did not respond to a confirmation message. I showed her a copy of my text confirmation, to which she replied that your messaging system is "faulty." Despite having documentation and having taken time off work to attend, she refused to check if I could be squeezed in or offer any assistance beyond stating I could "wait and see" if the next patient showed up. Even more troubling was her demeanor. Genesis was dismissive, curt, and completely lacking in basic customer service courtesy. When I briefly stepped over to the eyeglass area to ask a question while I waited, she went as far as to rudely inform me that I needed her permission to speak to someone. This behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on your practice. Additionally, the lobby was dirty and poorly maintained, which raises questions about the cleanliness and hygiene of your examination rooms. Given the time and effort I invested just to be treated this way, I will not be returning to Yealy Eye Care.
