I was asked to stay for free. I was the first woman to this location. Therapeutic strategies were used involving each client's perspective triggers related to the job reported by their employer. One Midwest officer from Illinois scared the crap out of me as his triggers were activated. He was provided employment thereafter his stay. With mental emergency assistance response time over 45 minutes away due to their remote location I slept with one eye open. Triggers that are purposely sought for the rationale of treatment are extremely dangerous and their outcomes very unpredictable. This was not the proper setting. Military and police officers should not be exploited for the sake of thwarting off a future tragic event. It's a great way to cause one though! After much introspection I felt an individual responsibility to report this. I'm sorry Stan. It's the right thing to do. Dr Jackson it's not okay and Care with Alex you hold equal responsibility. It's not okay.

I am a current client and have real concerns over how the owner runs this place. On the surface…read moreit's beautiful however the owner is greedy and controlling. Food is shipped from another location and not by a certified food delivery company. The food is a grade C at best most days. The weekends are left for the clients to cook and that's when we get quality food that's not greasy and nasty tasting. The owner will not allow the clients to have the Wi-Fi password and since this place is in the mountains cell phones don't work well. We just had a house meeting and we're informed that he wants us to have chores. I'm sorry I seen my bill and he's charging my insurance 3400 dollars a day and wants us to work. I don't think so. Parts of the house have gone without AC for weeks from what I'm told. A remote area of living on the property went without water for a week and one client can only shower for 3 minutes before the shower starts filling with backed up water. I've been through other places and this place is nothing but a scam. The staff is amazing and he bullies and intimidates them and causes the recovery of the clients to suffer. The website promises a lot but the truth is much different. In my brief meeting of the owner he is full of himself and full of shit.

They didn't make any grandiose promises but they did say they would give him the tools he needed to live a sober life, if he choose to accept them. My husband and I just returned from their family workshop and seeing our son for the first time in 2 months.I cannot say enough about the program, the staff or the change in my son.It was all amazing. Every staff member was truly wonderful. They were kind, knowledgeable and helped us gain tools in our own recovery. As everyone who has an addicted family member knows, it is a family disease and we all need to heal . The change in my son was the most astounding. For the first time in a really long time my husband and i have hope that he can recover. We owe that hope to the staff and other clients at Cycles of Change. Seeing and working with a staff that have all been there and turned their life around has been a true inspiration to us all. If someone in your family is struggling with an addiction, I cannot recommend Cycles of Change enough. I do believe they have saved my sons life.

If you're looking to detox, Ritz is where you want to be. I battled opiate addiction for 7 years, 5…read moreof those on fentanyl and honestly, I was terrified of going through withdrawal. It took a friend convincing me to get help and give Ritz a shot, and honestly, it was the best decision I ever made. The staff really knows what they're doing when it comes to this disease, and they helped me finally get off fentanyl for good. Ritz is clean, cozy, and has this chill vibe that makes it easy to settle in and focus on getting better. What I loved most was how the team treated me , they actually listened, kept it real, and showed real compassion because many of them had been through the same struggles. They didn't just throw a one size fits all plan at me, they made a plan that fit meIt felt like a safe space where I could be open and vulnerable without any judgment. I met people there I never thought I'd even hang out with, but some of them turned out to be the best folks I've met. We even went on weekend outings that showed me how to have fun without drugs. Oh, and huge shoutout to Steve, the chef, seriously, the best food I've ever had.

Not the best experience, I was targeted by certain staff members and treated poorly at times. while…read moresome staff members were exceptionally helpful and supportive(Danielle, nick, Laura, Johanna, and Chantelle as well as the chef). The overall company was trying to get the most money out of my insurance as possible. I started off in the sober living facility and during Christmas time, I had covid over winter and had to take NyQuil and that was the first excuse for forcing me back into a rehab program that was not needed. My reason for being in the program in the first place was that I had 18 back to back surgeries over the past 4 years and was on opioids for a long period of time so this was a way to detox in a safe environment. There was no psychological addiction, just physical dependence to opioids. They lied about multiple addictions to medication(amphetamine addiction) that I was prescribed since childhood and used it to get more money through insurance. They also lied about an alcohol addiction, when I am medically intolerant to alcohol. When I got back to the sober living after this time I was talked about poorly among staff members and called "attention seeking" for asking for a few days off in order to visit 2 dying family members. Eventually someone in the group had consumed alcohol and told the staff which upset another client due to the unfairness and favoritism. This upset client gave me alcohol without my knowledge or consent and afterwards told the staff that I was drunk. This other client had been upset and doing things like this for 2 weeks prior to this incident. I believe he did this in order to prove a point that they will send people they dislike or with good insurance back to rehab in order to get more money. This client later confessed to me he had put alcohol in my drink without my consent and I had a reaction to the alcohol and was placed back into the rehab facility. I was put on addictive barbiturates and unnecessary medications for 2 days before my insurance denied coverage due to fraudulent services. The alcohol level was so low that there was no logical reason I needed to be there. I was then abandoned as a patient had had to find a new place to live in 2 hours or I was out on the street. Remember it's just a business. They don't actually care about you. They left another 2 of my friends on their own where one eventually fell into a coma following her abandonment. Something else they did was contact my pharmacy and told them never to fill any of my prescriptions ever from any doctor. I was no longer under their care at all. I'm a disabled person and this made it very difficult to obtain medication that I needed. This is a HIPPA violation for sure.
