    And still trudging!!!
    Angela D.

I was here from January 29th 2020 to February 17th 2020 and I am still clean and sober today. This place changed my life for the better, got me back on track, all the counselors gave me and taught me all the proper tools to use in the outside world. I thank all the counselors, employees, and especially the owner who have so much PASSION for recovery and the treatment centers. Thank you all again for all you have done for me. I highly recommend this place it's safe and comfortable. They feed you well also =)))

I would not recommend going if you have any type of medical issues. Other than that it is ok.

Second, I didn't wanna seem ungrateful or rude. But, my opinion/rating may make a difference to someone who has a minor child and needs treatment and is looking at this facility for care. Let me start off by saying, this is the closest location for youth, I live in Long Beach so it was quite a distance, a lot of planning went into this. It was a very difficult time for my family and I. The staff itself was great, very helpful, I have no complaints whatsoever, most were cordial( a few not so much but I can deal with). My child went over details about her care and said they did in fact treat her okay, food was good and there was always something to do. Sometime around the 3rd week I went to visit, I witnessed another kid at the facility merely walk out of the place. I was kind of shocked, I didn't know that kids were allowed to just leave. Police were called and the police questioned the employee as to why she just allowed him to leave. She matter of fact just stated, there's nothing she can do. I understand, liability, etc. However, under the law, these kids are still minors and in your care. Shouldn't there be locked doors all around? The place has good surveillance equipment, a very high wall, the front doors need a key fob to get in or out but the side gate near the basketball court is open! It's like saying, you're free to go! I slept well thinking my girl was in good hands and safe, well she really wasn't. Well, once my daughter saw how easy it was to just walk out, she did the same thing a few days later. Mind you, my child is bi polar, mild schizophrenic and has borderline personality disorder. No attempt was made to stop her, she packed her bags and left...no cops were called, just like that. I did get a call and was told what had happened and for me to get right over there. I'm 2 hours away, what the heck? I can't just get into my car and drive a few blocks down and I'm there. I got in my car anyways and headed over there(in heavy traffic). I had to file a missing persons report and drive around Lancaster to look for her for several hours, she was wandering the streets for 6 hours(without a phone) yes, a mentally unstable person was just allowed to leave. I don't even k ow the area so it was like finding a needle in the haystack. Even the police were perplexed and said they would try and find her. Lucky we found her 6 hours later walking towards a Popeyes chicken. So, basically if you bring your youth/child here, they will provide adequate and basic care but as far as making sure they remain safe, don't count on it. I'm lucky nothing bad happened..she is safe and doing well.

Where do I begin. Will (the main dude in charge, whom really isn't too involved in the day to day)…read moreis cool, but I wish someone with some sort of degree would hold this position. It seems when someone has a degree they somehow generally are more informed and have greater mastery on their subjects. Chris is super cool, also wish she would have some type of advanced degree, again when you have someone on the other side of table that gets what a college degree, even more a masters or doctorate brings to the discussion it makes for a better outcome. Quality in quality out, shit in shit out. Danny the tireless soilder that does the dirty work. These three (in addition to Barbra and Alex) are the pleasant ones. The individual counselors and the one nurse "the just call me Nina," oh bitch well they can soon call you Nurse Notgonnaworkhereanymore. This was my first interaction with the nurses in 2 week, outside by the blonde nurse in her thirties. She is probably the sweetest thing there and really understands patients rights and a position in healthcare. Next time you are in the doctor's office pick up the literature on patients rights, specifically nurses duties. Across the board one the top three (3) will be "make patients feel comfortable, relieve anxiety and stress," and one other top three (3) will say patients rights to know the name(s) of their health care provide. Ms. Nina mocked and insinuated my first trip to the nurse ever there was "convenient" to when group was about to start with Matt (I will soon start of Emanuel Cunt 2.0). Insinuating I was faking it to avoid class. For lack of a better term, bitch in 22 years of schooling (i'm a doctor) I have missed 11 days, 6 of which were due to chicken pox when I was 11. I have no aversion to sitting in class. I then ask her name instead of doing what she's legally bound to do she tells me "you don't need to know my last name thy call me Ms. Nina. The rationale of putting so high on the list of medical caregivers duties the obligation to disclose their names, is so we don't have Chester The Molestor touching us in the most intimate places and not letting the public know or ability to know the identity of the person. She has been having major pain in her knees and needs medication adjustments/ refills, needs medical attention ASAP. I called 12/2022 for an initial appointment with primary care. Mid-March was the soonest available, fine. We'll take it! The Friday before, they called us to reschedule because the provider was not available...??? The next avilable appt was June, 6 months!!!!! The day before, they call to again, cancel and give her an appt. for August. Seriously???. After I go off, they offer to have someone give her a phone visit 1 wk out. All they did was refill her meds...what???? with no blood work!! We finally get her in at the mid-July and she gets her lab orders which I take her to get done right away...to date, we have not received any results. I called and they tell me that they need to give a phone visit for next week to go over results. The morning of the damn phone call, they let us know that the provider will not be available and reschedule the call for the end of the week. Meanwhile, radiology calls us and says she needs to go back in for further testing because they saw something unusual??? I call again, worried and no one can help me because it is a different department and only that department can help me but they are closed for the day (typical: "that's not my job") WTF??? And don't get me started on their customer service...I am a certified medical assistant with 15+ years of experience. I've worked in both private and community clinic settings. Customer service is the #1 and most important thing when being a health care professional. From the moment a patient walks through the door, or when the staff picks up the phone...courtesy, respect, kindness, and help is what customer service is all about. These are people's lives you deal with. Their health is the reason you practice. DO BETTER OR CLOSE SHOP!!!!!!

I have been through a few treatment programs and by far this is the best experience that I've ever had in treatment. Most of the staff are in recovery as well, so they get it, they know what it's like, there's no judgment, there's just a lot of love and support. The first night I arrived they had chicken noodle soup waiting for me and a nice comfy queen size bed and comfort medications to help with withdrawal. The food here is absolutely outstanding and if you have any suggestions on meals they will accommodate you. My needs were met even down to the simplest things like having tobacco, hygiene products, doctor's appointments, and all my appropriate medications. Every weekend we would all look forward to our outings, which consisted of going to the movies, or the park, swimming, all things that I'd never done sober before. The Detox program is usually 30 days and to be honest I really did not want to leave! I feel like they prepared me for my next step in recovery which was sober living. Today I have been clean and sober for 100 days! I really am thankful to Blanca and the rest of the staff at Bellagio for being a part of my journey. I would highly recommend this program to anybody who wants to recover from a hopeless State of mind and body. Bellagio has really changed my life and left a positive impression on me that I will never forget.

I finished the class that I should have completed 17 years ago. I'd hoped to share with the group how proud I was, and how good life is today. Unfortunately, the group got going on several downer topics, such as the atrocities happening in our jail system, how *all* sober living homes run by Armenians are a scam (gee, racist much?), and how the Democrats are extending the government shutdown because they want Healthcare for illegal immigrants. I lost it on that last one, and corrected the person, but felt like I was alone in my opinions. Another person who completed their class today got a warm hug from the teacher, but with me she barely made eye contact. I felt robbed of my celebratory moment. Screw them! *I* completed the class, I finished my responsibility, and if I'm the only Pagan and Democrat in the room then I sure won't miss anything. OVERALL, I rate The High Road well, but I recommend keeping your opinions to yourself when in class. No one likes feeling like the outcast.
