They had several companies listed, but arriving late at night (midnight) left me few options except for a dedicated vehicle. The few I contacted wanted $100 to $125 for a midnight ride from Kansas City International Airport to Lawrence, Kansas. Shannon, SDM's owner and sole driver, came back with a very fair quote of $65. Sold! Shannon was very professional and responsive from the start, quickly confirming availability and pricing, then sending me a reservation confirmation in an email. On the day of my arrival, he even sent me a photo of the vehicle and information about where we would meet, leaving nothing to chance. When I arrived, he was outside the arrivals baggage claim doors as promised, helping me to put my bags in the car even though he is disabled with Cerebral Palsy (his disability does not effect his driving, he is an excellent and very safe driver). Shannon gave me a brief overview of his business to put me at ease and we spent the next 50 minutes chatting as we made our way to Lawrence. He helped me with my bags when we arrived and he even waited until I found my keys and opened the front door before leaving. If you want reliable, friendly, professional, and cost-effective transportation to and from Kansas City Airport and surrounds, then Shannon should be your first choice. The only drawbacks being his schedule and the size of the vehicle. He works full-time at another job and has no other employees, so his availability is limited to Thursdays and nights only. The vehicle, a Hyundai hybrid, is large, new, and comfortable, but it has a rather small trunk and seats four comfortably, making it a challenge to fit more than two riders and a bag or two each in the car. It was so bad I hit my hazard lights, and when the highway opened up to a second lane I moved into the right lane in motion for them to pass me. Instead, this jerk wanted to sit in my Blindspot for several miles refusing to pass me. Five guys transportation has the worst drivers in the country, do not book with them. I constantly have issues with these jackasses when I am on my way in tailgating and cutting me off in traffic. They are the worst drivers in Kansas City. I wish this company would just go bankrupt because one of these days. One of these jerks is gonna hit me and I'm going to sue five guys for a lot of money. I said I did not see other sedans, only an SUV, which I did not want. She stated they were getting a newer one in soon. I told her that would be great. What picked up my daughter on her wedding day was a small crossover SUV. So plain and small, just an ordinary car. It was ridiculous. But of course, you are required to pre-pay the whole amount, so there is nothing you can do. The day after the wedding I emailed to express my disappointment. Tami asked what they could do to make it right. I requested a 50% refund. She agreed. I never got it, even though I have emailed two more times.

I've gotten the run around and excuses and am now standing outside the airport for the driver who I seriously doubt is going to show. Fyi, GTS, get the app Flight Tracker. It will tell you exactly when my flight will arrive. Big huge waste of money. I should have taken the Super Shuttle. Update - driver showed and it turns out everything the dispatcher told me during my 3 phone calls to them was total BS. They messed up and were late. I would actually been Ok with that - I get it that mistakes happen - if they had just been honest with me. This was a total waste of $95 bucks. Super Shuttle would have gotten me there quicker and wouldn't have given me the run around. Also - a really nice driver waiting for a passenger from another flight from 5 Guys Transport was able to get another car for me but GTS couldn't give me a straight answer on when the driver would actually be arriving so I had to decline - but next time I'm using them.
