I highly recommend JL Golf Academy and instructor Jeff Lombardo!…read moreMy family gifted me with two golf lessons with Jeff, and he was absolutely terrific. I am a "wannabe" golfer, honestly, even before beginner level, but I love the game and wanted to learn. After my first lesson in April, Jeff followed up with detailed notes and drills for me to practice, which I really appreciated. Having those notes on setup, address position, posture, heavy shots, heel/toe misses, and swing path gave me something I could actually refer back to when practicing or playing. Recently, I was invited to play at Bally Links as a fourth, and while I knew the course was probably way above my skill level, I decided to go for it. Before the round, I scheduled my second lesson with Jeff and told him my plan: learn as much as I could about golf, the rules, the course, and then just do my best. He gave me honest feedback, we both laughed when he told me how extremely difficult the course would be for me, but more importantly, he encouraged me to go, have fun, and enjoy the experience. Jeff is professional, thorough, encouraging, and a great teacher. I left my lesson feeling more confident and excited to play, even knowing I still have a lot to learn. If you're looking for a golf instructor who knows the game, explains things clearly, follows up, and makes you feel supported at any level, I highly recommend Jeff Lombardo at JL Golf Academy!

When the course was poorly maintained that quirkiness was annoying especially because the greens were so bad. Over the last couple of years the course has undergone a remarkable transformation. There are visible efforts to improve sight lines and playability. Some holes, like 13 still need work as the landing area is as likely to reward a good shot with a bounce into the woods as not. This Golf Course does not have a great layout for parking and I did not notice any warning to alert customers of balls flying over top into the parking lot. The only protection provided is their strategy to line up golf carts along side the green in the hopes that line of defense blocks errant shots. I initially brought it to the Pro Shop's attention and was advised to provide them with a copy of my Drivers License, the bill for the repaired damage to my vehicle, pictures and proof of damage along with a statement as to what happened. After multiple attempts through emails, phone calls to the owner and management team, they simply ignored my request for addressing the issue and paying the damage incurred to me. Essentially ghosting the situation that occurred and not informing their own insurance of the situation. I'm a 20 year veteran who works in the Golf Industry and quite frankly am appalled at the lack of customer service provided.
