Nope. Would never recommend Ross Ellsworth. From the minute I received his very vague estimate I…read moreshould have looked elsewhere. Huge mistake. I misunderstood my most excellent contractor who redid my kitchen and wish to god he had taken care of my windows. I've since worked with another window installer who stated I should have received a line item estimate detailing every window including sizes and materials (including the screens); trash hauling information; and exact details of what is and isn't included. Additionally, the estimate was one final price with no separation of labor and materials. I researched the windows and spoke directly with the window vendor to choose the windows I wanted and provided that info to Ross. I made it very clear to Ross verbally and by email that I wanted a certain kind of screen. I was told I would get that screen. I didn't. And, had I been provided the Sales Order Acknowledgment I would have clearly seen "standard screen". At that point, before the windows were ordered, I could have done something about it. Additionally, Ross told me it would be better if he ordered the windows rather than myself. Had I ordered the widows myself I would have ensured I received the upgraded screens and would have clearly seen what I paid for the windows. And to think I didn't want to insult him by asking him to put it in writing that the screens would be the upgraded screens. I trusted his word. Stupid me. Ross clearly stated all framework would be installed and the windows would be FINISHED but because my contractor wanted the wood painted before installation Ross didn't want to come back and install the framework. My most excellent contractor did it for me. I just had additional windows in my house installed and at the end of the job my windows were cleaned inside and out; the contractor opened and closed all the windows; and he showed me what to do to maintain the windows and provided all necessary info for registering the windows with Milgard. Ross didn't do anything like that. He's like the mow and blow of window installers. I don't think he ever looked over anything to ensure everything was done properly. He didn't notice a rip in the screen door or all the stucco that was sprayed all over my planters. No quality control or customer service. Yeah, the screen was replaced and the stucco removed after I called him a few times. I shouldn't have had to do that. He should supervise his jobs and take some pride in his work. And to think he tried to get more work from me by offering to build up my floors. Thank god I said no. I offered my old windows for free and they were hauled out so Ross didn't even have to do that! But, there was debris left that I had to call him twice to remove. He never contacted me back about the screens yet he was really quite responsive and communicative when it came to getting paid, that's for sure. I'm pretty hands on and do my research. I instinctively knew his estimate was not "professional"; I should have asked him to put the screens in writing; I should have asked him to provide the Sales Order Acknowledgement from the vendor even if it didn't have the prices so I could see exactly what I was getting (I've since received the info from the vendor). My point is the consumer, who is not a contractor, should not have to do these things. This is why we hire professionals. I'm easy to work with UNLESS you show me a complete lack of response, customer service and integrity (ask my general, floor, counter and paint contractors). In my opinion Ross Ellsworth is not professional. At. All. Buyer beware.

Greetings, fellow Yelpers. If you're in the market for excellent, beautiful, high-quality…read morecarpeting and flooring, I'm here to let you know that AA De Soto Flooring & Carpet is the only place you'll need to visit, both for material and installation. First off, the owner, Mr. Rabbani, is a class act from start to finish. He is knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and patient, which comes in handy, since these are important home decor decisions that should not be made in haste. His store has everything you could want in terms of flooring: carpet, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, etc. You name it, he's got it. If he doesn't have it on site, he can most likely get it for you. And, if he can't get it, you probably don't want it. His prices are reasonable, his estimates are accurate, and you will feel welcome from the moment you enter to the moment you exit. But, that's just the first half of it. After having purchased flooring from Mr. Rabbani, and having been pleased with the price and quick turnaround, we were more than pleased with the skill, craftsmanship, meticulousness, exactitude, and attention to detail that his three rock-star installers had on display for the entirety of the two-day job. Fred, Alex, and Bryan, from the moment they set foot in our home, treated it as if it were their very own. Aside from being prompt, attentive, and utterly respectful, they stayed late, worked hard, and made sure that the entire experience was as pleasant as it could have possibly been. On top of that, all three were very cool guys, which was icing on the cake. Were I to hear from a family member, friend, or total stranger who was in the market for flooring and/or installation, my first and only recommendation would be to send them straight to AA De Soto Flooring & Carpet, posthaste. In these uncertain times, it can be difficult to know where to turn, whom to trust, and what to do. At times like these, I feel it is important to reward decency with decency. And, when it comes to business, a great price is one thing, but great people and a great experience is even more important. These little human interactions allow us all to make a difference in someone's day, week, month, year, or life... and a positive difference, at that. At AA De Soto Flooring & Carpet, you will be met with people who care about making others happy. Whether it be Mr. Rabbani, Fred, Alex, or Bryan, if you have these guys on your side, you're going to get what you want. And, who knows, maybe you'll be the next person to write these upstanding gentlemen a 5-star review?

Completely unprofessional & illiterate. He should not be operating.... This company should not even be in business. Do not hire this company. Read and look at the other negative reviews about Mike & Uptown Renovations. He is not an honest person and he does not do good and honest work. Mike is a complete fraud and scammer - his work is the worst I've seen and he has a completely bad attitude and huge ego. The work he does is completely awful, it's crap honestly and he does a cheap job not caring about the job - he leaves things unfinished - examples: baseboards uneven, floors not done, missing knobs on kitchen doors, bathrooms not finished, a mess everywhere with trash, things won't be leveled or aligned, there will be missing areas where he didnt put all the floor down where you can see where it's missing, he messed up on painting, he got wet and mold all over our personal items including our King mattress when he was working on our home, he takes weeks and days to respond, and when we told him our concerns he doesn't care and has the worst people& communication skills. I've never been so shocked by how a contractor I hired was acting. His attitude when we were asking for help was extremely off putting- and I would never recommend this person to ANYONE. DO NOT HIRE THIS MIKE man and hire someone else who will do the job right the first time with a good genuine attitude. Mike has messed up every thing we have ever hired him for... He has never done 1 thing right - and I can see why he has a hard time finding work and people to work for because he isn't honest and he's a scammer. BEWARE of this scamming company & Mike - they will mess up your home/property/business and leave it worse than it was before.
