Meagan Brown saved the day for my hair today (Tuesday, 5/21/19)! My "platinum blonde" would come out a darker blonde, a rose gold color, or as a more "natural blonde" (as my last stylist's shop partner described my platinum appointment's finished product). Meagan listened to what I wanted, reviewed the photos I sent her as reference, explained her process to me and how she would ensure the right color, and even worked in a couple more services for me (tinting and shaping my eyebrows). She also did a pH bonder (included in the cost of the service; no EXTRA cost), which made me happy because it'll help strengthen my hair after this platinum card process-- AND it's better than Olaplex! My hair feels soft and healthy, and I'm so pleased with what I learned in my appointment from Meagan as well as the level of service I received. She also helped direct me on some products to help my fine hair better cope with this humid Alabama climate while I'm here. This color is what I've been asking for and paying for from others, and I finally got it here at Meraki. Thanks again, Meagan! Looking forward to coming back to see you!

I called on a Monday and got my preferred time and date appointment that Thursday. My hair stylist was nicki and she was amazing, she was personable and patient with my collection of color ideas. We discussed the look I wanted. She did exactly what I asked and it came out perfect. I left feeling like a new person! I received a packet of goodies and coupons for being a new customer which is always appreciated. The head massage was AMAZING, and their wash station has this head support that makes all the difference in the world. No more neck spasms and trying to act cool while you're getting your hair washed. It was a great experience, the atmosphere was mellow and each stylist was really focused on their client. I am grateful for the new look and the experience. I will definitely be back!!

I hate how I have to come here in order to be heard, because I really tried to be understanding and…read morecalm about this situation. If you are new to town, I would not recommend this salon. New clients are paired with a level one stylist, and in my experience the quality of work and follow-up were extremely disappointing. During my first appointment with stylist Taylor Harvey, I was left with visible bleach blotches in my hair. Despite reaching out to have this corrected, I received no response. It wasn't until FOUR MONTHS later, when another issue arose, that the situation was finally addressed. During my third appointment with Taylor Harvey, I came in with clear reference photos and trusted that my hair was in capable hands. Unfortunately, there was a continued lack of professionalism. Clear communication is essential during first-time and follow-up appointments, and that did not happen here. When the final result did not match what I had asked for, I was only informed AFTER expressing concern that my desired look could not be achieved because I was booked for a partial service; a limitation that should have been explained at the beginning of the appointment. Instead, the situation was framed as a misunderstanding on my end rather than a lack of transparency. I am a college student and made it clear that this appointment was a significant expense and my primary discretionary spending. Despite this, I was still expected to pay additional costs to correct issues that stemmed from limitations that were never communicated upfront. When I attempted to contact the owner to discuss these concerns, I was told they were "too busy" to speak with me directly. As a business owner, accountability for the work of those you employ is essential, and the lack of direct communication was disappointing. The receptionist was also invasive regarding my situation and showed little empathy. It is frustrating to now have to place my trust in yet another person to fix my hair when that trust should have been honored from the start. Overall, professionalism, transparency, accountability, and compassion were lacking. Coming here to respond to said owners response, I'm sorry, but I called your receptionist DAY of when I got my hair done ( by the way, it is already yellow!!) and I ASKED for you (the owner) to the receptionist. And she told me she would give you my info. So no, I did NOT try to schedule "2 hours" before said appointment. My message a week earlier was never conveyed to you. Truly so upsetting.

After this weekend, now she is stuck with me forever! I was already a fan of hers, and then she did my niece's hair and makeup for prom a few months ago. And WOW! She did an amazing job. My niece looked like an angel, or a model. So that solidified my opinion on where to go for special events. Then, this weekend, my daughter, my niece and I all needed services. I needed a Brazilian and a haircut, and my teenage girls needed cuts & colors. We invaded on Saturday and were there pretty much all day. And we actually had so much fun! Honest to God, I have paid 4 times the amount that we paid here for just my daughter's hair. Both of the girls look fan-freaking-tastic, and I love my hair as well! We all walked in with photos of what we wanted, and Rhonda listened, advised, and worked with us, so we all walked out with everything we wanted! The girls' hair looks amazeballs!! Especially my niece who had severely damaged her hair with non-professional dye jobs, WAY too strong bleach, and years of teenage experimentation and neglect. She walked in with fried, unhealthy, muticolored hair, and walked out with long, beautiful, shiny healthy hair that looks super natural. We have all three gotten several compliments on our hair. My mother even said she was calling soon to have her hair done. I will never go anywhere else, for any other service. I'm officially Rhonda's stalker!

"They said I HAD TO DO THIS TO GET SERVICE because of the shape of my hair" her and I have never run into this in our 40 years of living. She and I should have listen to word of mouth... they warned for the same exact thing. And of course she is the type to give them a tip so the end price is ungodly. Go elsewhere, listen to the community, and always have a voice to speak up to these type of owners. All I can say is one word... cheesy! Fix this and be professional. This is exactly how you lose customers and have word of mouth as you do.... And yes ma'am this is indeed what is going around about your business. The ONLY reason I am giving it a 2 star is because she is satisfied with her hair. But honestly it doesn't look any different than her other hairstylist that retired and was 1/2 the price.

So when they finished with your hair, and then you go to the cash register to pay. If you are the type of person that doesn't want to make a scene after receiving the amount of money that they are asking you to pay... Advice : 1. Always ask what's the price going to be after the plan is made on what they're going to do your hair. 2. If they ask or comment about doing something to your hair at all again ask what is going to be the price. 3. Doesn't hurt to tell them over phone or sitting with stylist, how you plan on only paying a certain amount & no more. 4. Ask them your options on if you're not satisfied with your hair. They'll probably offer to do it again, but if they do it again and you're still not happy they are not going to refund your money. If it's not a minor or small fix.
