My experience purchasing a car from Germain Lexus of Ann Arbor was profoundly disappointing. I reside in Indianapolis and communicated with Joseph Codrington about the Lexus NX 300 on a Monday. I had already decided on the car for my college-bound daughter, who was due home for the Christmas break that Saturday. Having been satisfied with our current Lexus vehicles, I had high expectations. Despite providing ample information about my needs and urgency, it felt as though my concerns were not taken seriously. Joseph was unavailable for the next three days, leaving me in the hands of multiple associates who seemed indifferent, possibly due to my remote location and gender. The process took an unnecessarily long four days to finalize, a duration I found excessive given my decisive intent. Despite my persistence, the dealership frequently communicated that they had other potential buyers interested in the same vehicle. This behavior felt manipulative and disrespectful, especially considering the time and effort I had invested. When we finally settled on a negotiated price with Derek, a sales manager, on Thursday night, I believed the ordeal was nearing its end. However, the General Manager, upon returning from his absence the next day, reneged on the agreed-upon price. This sudden change was frustrating, particularly since it was a minor reduction from the sticker price. Upon arriving at the dealership on Saturday, having provided all necessary documents and a check from our bank, we encountered further discrepancies. The invoice price inexplicably increased by $20, with no satisfactory explanation provided. It wasn't about the $20 it was more about the lack of communication of the "why" the entire transaction was disorganized and inefficient, disrupting our already busy schedules. As loyal Lexus customers, my husband and I expected better. The inconsistent pricing, sales tactics, and lack of professionalism were unacceptable. The car itself arrived in an unacceptable condition, with dirt and crumbs throughout. Despite this ordeal, we were met with incompetence even after the sale, as evidenced by their request for our Social Security numbers twice due to misplaced information. Given our experience, I would strongly advise potential buyers to seek alternatives to Germain Lexus of Ann Arbor. Their customer service is far below par, and their actions left us feeling undervalued and disrespected. If it were possible, I would rate this experience negatively. Please consider other dealerships for your Lexus needs. You will see below the filth of the car and how we purchased it. We had to have the car professionally detailed and new windshield wipers replaced once we were home. I quite literally could not make this stuff up. After reading others reviews I only wish I would have gone to Yelp to read up on Lexus of Ann Arbor because I would have never wasted my time. Buyer beware!

What a wonderful experience finding my favorite vehicle & dealing with a sales person like Aimee Kurutz! I felt so comfortable & at complete ease from our 1stHello!! No sales pitch. She was awesome from start 2 finish..The vehicle was pristine! I had tears picking up my truck at the dealership the nxt day from Happiness! "Aimee" even left a personal Special gift on my front seat! Never have I experienced this kind of thoughtfulness & gratefulness buying a car! Thank you!!!!

I don't leave bad reviews often, but this time I will. I purchased a used 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia…read moreQuadrifoglio from Mercedes-Benz of Ann Arbor. I got it home, only to find that the front brake rotors FAILED state safety inspection due to being under rotor thickness specification. The pads were worn to within a millimeter of the wear sensors as well. The dealership offered no assistance, even though the car supposedly went through a "multipoint" inspection. Afterward, they said they just did a start/drive/stop inspection and that they told me I was told this. Now the car was purchased as is, true, but it requiring a $2000 brake job right out of the gate was quite a shock. The car has been on jackstands (picture attached of my car of jack stands) in my garage since it failed inspection waiting on parts as a result. Dealer response: "not our problem." Noted, so here we are. Next up is car registration. As a member of the military, I wanted to register my car in South Dakota. All I need the dealership to do is sign a SD Form 1004 (out of state tax assessment) stating that I paid sales tax at the dealership (which I did), but they flat out refused to sign the form. This will end up costing me an additional $1800 in unnecessary taxes all because they will not sign a form attesting that I paid sales taxes directly to them. This has been the absolute worst car buying experience I have ever had, bar none. Other's local folk's (Michigan) experiences may have been great, but if you are buying out of state, I recommend going elsewhere unless you want zero support after the sale at all and a runaround with your paperwork. Silver lining is, I learned a lot about how NOT to treat people from my dealings with this dealership. Just a frustrating, costly and disappointing experience all around. :( ***I wanted to add: brakes are obviously a critical safety item and the fact that this fundamental issue was just so callously ignored and dismissed states volumes about how much yours and everyone else's safety means to this dealership. The more I think about my loved ones possibly being in an accident due to this negligence really upsets me. I was a service technician at BMW before I went to college and the military and this issue would have never passed out of our service department, at least back in the 1990's.

The goal is to underbid you as much as they can by falsely implying your trade is not up to standards. All while they want full price for the new vehicle your trying to purchase. Was there 2 days and not once was the mention of a discount on the asking price. I'm sure if you let them. They will cheat you on your trade and charge sticker price on your new car purchase. Have bought over 30 cars in my lifetime and this was the worst experience at a so called reputable dealer I have had.

To their credit, the dealership did attempt multiple repairs and eventually provided a rental during one of the visits, but the process became extremely frustrating. Since purchasing the vehicle, I've had to make repeated trips back to the service department for the same unresolved issues. The Explorer sat for hours during one appointment without being looked at, I went several visits without any loaner assistance, and communication between departments often seemed disconnected. On top of the original leak issue, a leaking rear shock, rear main seal leak, oil plug leak, and a metal-on-metal noise were later discovered. Some staff members, including Lance and Shaun, were helpful and professional when addressing concerns, but overall the experience has been disappointing considering how soon these problems started after purchase. As of my latest visit, the metal hitting noise is still present despite multiple attempted fixes. I understand used vehicles can have issues, but I expected better inspection, communication, and follow-through from a large dealership.

I'm writing this review as a warning to others thinking about getting service work at Suburban. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I made an online appointment (with a loaner car) on Friday, January 30th, I did not receive my car back until the evening of Monday, February 9th. When I brought my car in on 1/30, they said the system messed up and they couldn't look at it until the next Monday. They also said they don't offer loaner cars anymore and I could call Enterprise down the street. Since my car was still driveable, I kept it that weekend and brought it back Monday. On Monday morning, they called me and said they had people out and couldn't look until Wednesday. Enterprise also told me they wouldn't have a rental until Wednesday (not Suburban's fault but adds context). I understand outside factors happen but I wish I was informed about that prior to dropping my car off on Monday. Wednesday comes and they are radio silent the whole day. I texted and called with no response. Thursday they text me and say they can look at it Friday. So there's been no communication, I'm unable to coordinate if I need a rental car and now I'm out of a car until the end of the week. Throughout this week they weren't responsive via text. They also could never put me in touch with anyone when I'd call to check in. I felt very stuck. On Friday, they finally send me an estimate and are super responsive about that aspect. When it comes to getting me to sign off on paying them, they're quick to see and reply to text messages. I approved the work asap, I really didn't want to but at this point I just needed the work done. I haven't checked with another mechanic, but I'd hate to see how much I overpaid for this work. At noon on Friday they texted me to say it will now be done on Monday. So now I'll be without my car for the whole weekend in addition to the week it's already been and it's so late in the day on Friday that I couldn't arrange a rental. Their lack of communication inconvenienced me once again. I replied immediately asking if there's any way to get it back sooner because I don't have a car. They didn't reply until Saturday morning with a short message along the lines of "no, sorry Monday". On the Monday when I was promised the car, I didn't hear from them most of the day. I texted in the afternoon asking for a status update and heard back at 5pm that it was ready. I asked for a shuttle to pick me up, which they sent (the literal least they could do). The shuttle driver was quite unfriendly and didn't seem happy to provide a ride so close to the end of the day. I now have my car back and can post my experience here. I was so unhappy and frustrated not just by the delay but by the complete lack of communication which would have allowed me to make other arrangements. They did not listen to my concerns and didn't respond when I would ask. I felt totally taken advantage of and powerless but I do hope this review steers some customers away from Suburban. I went here a few years ago when they were still La Fontaine and had a fine experience. I don't know if it was the change in ownership or what, but this was very, very frustrating. I have an older car and probably will be buying a new one in the next few years. There's zero percent chance I would look at a car from this dealership after this experience. I just hope they did the work I paid for correctly.

After a call to our insurance he got an appointment for a repair but it was weeks away. I was out running errands and passed O'Reilly and figured I would stop in to see if they may have a temporary solution for the side mirror. Now listen, I'm not a car person. I don't pretend to be a car person, I know very little. But I do know when I'm blatantly being ignored and that's pretty. much what happened here. I walked up and down the aisles searching for the mirrors and the guy behind the counter didn't even in look in my direction. I was the only one in the store, hovering over the side mirror replacements, trying to find the matching one for the mirror. I saw him walk by, still nothing. I juggled the big book of parts to look up the number I needed for the make/model of our car and not a peep. Sure, I could have asked for help but at this point I was stubborn. "Ignore me? Fine, I can do that too." Ultimately I wasn't able to find the exact fit I needed but I did get a mirror panel we could cut to size. Better than nothing? I took my purchase up to the counter and once again, the fella barely acknowledged my existence, even while he was ringing me up. And sure, maybe he was having a bad night, or he's just not a talkative person but it either way it wasn't a super pleasant experience. Ironically we never needed to use the side mirror plate as I found the exact size we needed online. So now I have to go back and return the darn thing but I'm not exactly in a hurry to return...
